Chapter 317: Male Zerg Celebrity × Arms Dealer (7): It Was Hard to Imagine Mr. Ravens Taking Care of an Egg

  • Next Chapter

[Shamir had assumed that when Mr. Ravens said “let's do it differently,” he meant changing locations. Instead, Mr. Ravens had him sit down at the edge of the bed, then crouched in front of him.

Mr. Ravens stared directly at him, his gaze level with his target, his expression so serious that it was as though he were confronting some century-old unsolvable problem. Then he reached a hand toward him, only to seem to realize something halfway through and move closer, switching to something else instead.

Shamir covered his mouth in surprise. He hadn't expected this to be the method Mr. Ravens wanted to switch to.

This certainly was a method of Psychic Soothing he had never experienced before.

He couldn't really concentrate. Any Male Zerg who could still focus his mind enough to perform Psychic Soothing under circumstances like these would have to be some kind of divine Zerg, and Shamir was nowhere near that level.

The strands of hair gently swaying atop Mr. Ravens's head stole his attention. There was also the high bridge of his nose and his lowered eyelashes, all of it devastatingly attractive, so captivating that Shamir couldn't tear his eyes away.

His toes curled amid the quiet sounds of savoring that filled the room, and something shot straight to the top of his skull, the stimulation almost unbearable.]

Silence.

Silence reigned over tonight's review section.

Then the readers came back to their senses and exploded with rage.

[What the hell is Ravens doing?! The Male Zerg Association comes knocking and suddenly he knows he should change how he does it? What the hell was he doing before?!]

[So before this, he just lay there and made the Male Zerg serve him, huh? I don't even lie that flat when I go to a massage parlor!]

[What? You actually go to massage parlors? Whenever we're injured or exhausted, we just lie in a treatment pod!]

[Most massage and rehabilitation centers nowadays use robot bugs for massages. The few that don't employ Female Zerg or Sub-Female staff. Sub-Females aren't strong enough, so the results aren't as good, which means most professionals are still Female Zergs. But even then, the recuperative effect isn't necessarily any better than a treatment pod.

Ravens is different, though. If his muscles get sore, he can actually summon a Male Zerg to relieve them! And not just any Male Zerg—the superstar Lord Shamir!

Forget the restorative effects of Male Zerg pheromones and Psychic Soothing. Just looking at Lord Shamir's face would be enough to make any Zerg feel completely refreshed! Suddenly your waist doesn't ache, your legs don't hurt, and you could hold a Male Zerg in your arms while doing five hundred sets of training without even getting out of breath.]

[I don't believe for a second that you wouldn't be panting (eye roll).]

[Uh... If you're holding a Male Zerg while doing it, I suppose you might get just a little...]

[Stop getting sidetracked! The problem right now is Ravens! Usually he lies there like a dead Zerg and makes Shamir do absolutely everything. Then the moment the Male Zerg Association questions him, he suddenly figures out how to actively eat him instead—and gets to eat this well!]

The Male Zergs who saw this comment were speechless.

[The second half is the real point, isn't it?]

Female Zerg emotions were easy to understand. They appeared to be nitpicking everything Ravens did, but there was really only one thing at the heart of it all:

They desperately wished they could take his place.

But if the Male Zergs were asked, they also thought Ravens had gone too far before. His attitude had been terrible. Who just lay flat on the bed and made the Male Zerg do all the moving?

They were equally dissatisfied with Ravens's previous behavior.

Even in a contractual relationship like this, they believed the Female Zerg should be the one actively providing service, constantly coaxing and pleasing the Male Zerg whenever they were together.

From a Male Zerg's perspective, simply giving a Female Zerg the opportunity to please him was already an act of generosity.

And as it happened, most Female Zergs thought exactly the same way. They would be overwhelmingly grateful just to receive an opportunity to please a Male Zerg.

Ravens put on far too many airs. Sure, he could play the pipe organ, possessed enormous wealth, had a mysterious background, was emotionally stable, and treated other Zergs with tolerance... He was certainly charming, but they didn't like the way he interacted with Shamir. It went against everything they were accustomed to and wasn't “Zerg” at all. In some ways, it was almost a little too “Tianjia.”

The Female Zergs privately grumbled that An-shen's protagonists were rarely particularly standard “Zergs.” There was always something “Tianjia” about them in one way or another.

Claire trained his Male Lord like a new recruit, Iso ate a Male Zerg's food without paying any star coins... And those actual Tianjia protagonists went without saying. Now Ravens was no less outrageous than the rest. First he signed a contract with a Male Zerg, then he lay there and let the Male Zerg serve him. It really was too much.

They all knew that most of An-shen's novels drew material from reality and had actual real-life models, but after seeing this happen so many times, they couldn't help wondering.

Why did An-shen's protagonists always have one “Tianjia” trait or another? Could there be some Zerg in An-shen's real life who was actually like this?

Wait.

That Zerg couldn't be the Marshal, could it?

The Female Zergs who made that connection were startled, then immediately rejected the idea themselves.

The Marshal was obviously a completely standard Female Zerg.

If Marshal Ulysses really had some kind of “Tianjia” personality, there never would have been that domestic abuse and divorce case. He would have fought back long ago.

Thinking about it that way, they suddenly felt that perhaps it wasn't so bad for the protagonists in An-shen's novels to have a little “Tianjia” in them.

At least they could protect themselves.

As for the Tianjia, they had absolutely no idea what these “Tianjia traits” the Zergs kept discussing were supposed to be, and they looked down on the whole thing.

If they were the ones involved, they would have eaten the Male Zerg over and over long ago. Who the hell would obediently lie flat and let themselves get fucked?

God only knew how difficult it was to restrain oneself when confronted with a high-ranking Male Zerg and his pheromones. Someone like Ravens, who could obediently lie there during Psychic Soothing without doing anything unnecessary, was what they called a Zerg of supreme endurance.

Put him at the same table as Claire. They were both legendary masters of self-restraint!

Fortunately, Ravens had finally made some progress.

As for Ravens actively eating the Male Zerg, readers from both the Zerg Federation and Tianjia Empire enthusiastically gave their approval.

That was exactly how it should be.

Some members of the Male Zerg Association were also following the new novel, particularly several senior administrators who had personally dealt with Ravens.

They were somewhat surprised that the Association had actually appeared in the novel. It was far too coincidental. Then speculation about this being a commissioned novel surfaced in their minds, and they immediately understood.

They carefully read the new chapter. They couldn't exactly say they were satisfied with Ravens's performance, but at least it was an improvement.

“At least he finally knows he should actively serve the Male Zerg.” An older Male Zerg put down the light screen that had been simulated to resemble the pages of a book and offered his assessment.

Another Zerg said, “Who knows which one of them is actually enjoying something like this more? Getting to taste a Male Zerg's pheromones, having your entire face filled and saturated with pheromones—there's nothing more pleasurable than that for a Female Zerg.”

Everyone tacitly understood and accepted his statement.

Pheromones already held an incredibly powerful attraction for Female Zergs and could bring them immense pleasure. Female Zergs normally couldn't ask for enough opportunities to do something like this and would eagerly take the initiative themselves. Only Ravens needed other Zergs to urge him and give him pointers.

He really was slow.

Someone else said, “A novel is still just a novel. We can't take everything in it as fact. It's also possible that Ravens deceived An-shen and provided him with false material to write from. We still need regular follow-up visits. Seeing is believing.”

Everyone agreed.

Aira, who was sitting nearby, didn't join their conversation. He simply focused on reading the novel, occasionally frowning when a few sentences from their discussion reached his ears.

When it came to private matters between Male and Female Zergs, the principle he followed was “the authorities don't investigate unless a complaint is filed.” If the Male Zerg hadn't reported that the Female Zerg was humiliating or abusing him, then they shouldn't interfere too much in private matters between lovers.

Forget something as minor as Ravens lying there while Shamir did the moving. Even if they were playing some private role-playing game where the Male Zerg was the one being restrained, as long as the Male Zerg possessed the ability to judge the situation for himself and was participating willingly, the Association shouldn't interfere excessively.

But looking on the bright side, at least these Zergs hadn't barged straight into Ravens's home, dragged Ravens away for interrogation and torture, and frightened the Male Zerg into tears.

That alone was already much better than during the Imperial era.

The rest could be changed one step at a time.

When the Association's administrators began discussing who should handle the subsequent follow-up visits, Aira volunteered and took the assignment.

No one competed with him for it. In truth, the Zergs from the Male Zerg Association didn't particularly want to deal with Ravens either.

This matter involved not only an arms dealer and a Male Zerg celebrity, but was also connected to An-shen and the Marshal's residence...

It was troublesome to handle.

Considering that Aira was a die-hard fan of An-shen and had a close relationship with him, everyone agreed that he was an excellent choice for the assignment.

...

[Doing it this way with Shamir was also a test for Ravens.

His mouth and nose were filled with the Male Zerg's refined pheromones. It clearly wasn't the kind with an overpowering fragrance, yet it left him dizzy and intoxicated, unable to get enough no matter how much he breathed in. His own pheromones were spilling out uncontrollably as well.

For a Female Zerg, restraining himself under circumstances like these was almost impossible. He desperately wanted to take Shamir inside himself, yet at the same time, he couldn't bear to give up the meat already at his mouth.

The two desires battled inside his head, causing a fleeting expression of divided struggle to appear on his face. Ultimately, however, reason prevailed. He still remembered his purpose tonight and decided to let Shamir enjoy himself first.

He could wait a little longer himself.

Even if his pheromones were practically dripping out.

For a moment, Ravens was grateful that his clothes concealed everything. Then, through his hazy thoughts, he wondered whether the carpet would need to be replaced tomorrow.

The clothes couldn't be kept either.

Throwing away clothes after wearing them once was nothing to Ravens. He had no need to be frugal. But if they became stained with Shamir's pheromones, perhaps they might be worth keeping.

Shamir kept one hand over his mouth, his bright eyes fixed on Ravens as though he could never look enough.

Mr. Ravens was far too special tonight. His entire style was completely different from before—exceptionally proactive and impossible to ignore.

Shamir had been perfectly willing to serve Mr. Ravens when Ravens merely lay there and let him move as he pleased. It felt good, and it allowed Shamir to bring that same comfort and pleasure to Mr. Ravens. There was nothing wrong with it.

But after experiencing this proactive version of Mr. Ravens tonight, Shamir realized that it really was different.

The proactive Ravens clearly revealed how much he wanted Shamir.

It let Shamir know that he wasn't the only one who wanted Mr. Ravens.

Mr. Ravens wanted him too.

It was like having his feelings reciprocated.

Of course Shamir knew that something controlled by pheromones couldn't be equated with genuine feelings, but he still felt emotionally satisfied.

As for physically, that went without saying.

For the first time, he didn't promptly stop after finishing one round of service. He even forgot about the Psychic Soothing entirely. Mr. Ravens neither stopped nor reminded him, and just like that, they remained entangled for the entire night.

When Shamir woke again, it was already the next morning.

Mr. Ravens had gotten up earlier than him and was nowhere to be seen.

Shamir lay there for a while before propping himself up and sitting. Only then did he discover that he was wearing a fresh set of comfortable pajamas.

He had no memory of changing into them.

By the end of last night, he didn't even know how he'd gone to clean himself. Mr. Ravens had probably helped him.

His final memory was of the shifting light and shadows in the bathroom, beneath the hazy mist of water, with Mr. Ravens crouching halfway down in front of him.

Shamir couldn't remember whether he'd used his mouth one more time in the end.

All he knew was that it had felt so good he nearly exploded.

Terrifying.

There had genuinely been something very wrong with Mr. Ravens last night.

Yet Shamir couldn't figure out the reason.

Perhaps Mr. Ravens had simply gotten a sudden whim.

He put those chaotic thoughts aside, got out of bed, washed up, and changed clothes.

The moment he stepped outside, he discovered that the carpets in both the bedroom and sitting room had been replaced. Naturally, the bedding and pillows on the bed they'd used had been replaced as well. The carpets had probably been changed along with them simply to keep everything as a matching set and maintain a consistent style throughout the bedroom.

Shamir didn't think much about it. After washing up, he left the room and headed downstairs.

The moment he descended the stairs, he heard several birdcalls.

The villa was surrounded by forest, so hearing birds was perfectly normal, but these calls sounded unusual. He'd never heard them before, and more importantly, they were coming from inside the villa.

Shamir followed the sound and saw two large mint-colored birds perched on a wooden stand beside the window.

They had long wings and were currently preening their feathers.

Their fresh, vivid mint-colored plumage was exceptionally rare. One of them had eyes that appeared red beneath the sunlight, making it particularly distinctive.

Shamir realized what they were.

Mr. Ravens's new pets.

They had only talked about it yesterday, and they'd already been delivered today?

That was incredibly fast.

The Zergs working under Mr. Ravens really were efficient.

Shamir walked toward them. As he crossed the living room, he noticed several furry balls of various colors scattered across the floor.

He was wondering whether they were some new kind of sofa chair or decoration when all the furry balls suddenly began rolling at once, swarming toward him while making “chirp chirp” noises and affectionately pressing themselves against his legs.

Shamir froze briefly before remembering that these were also among the pets they'd chosen yesterday.

Their appearance had changed.

Their fur had been trimmed until each of them was perfectly round, making them resemble giant dandelion puffs. They looked so different from their photographs that Shamir hadn't even recognized them.

Shamir casually picked one up and rubbed it.

It felt fantastic.

Soft and fluffy, perfect for petting.

He was about to continue forward and see whether there were any other pets when he caught sight of an incubator sitting on the table.

Inside it was an egg, crystal clear and translucent, as though it had been carved from a ruby.

The last pet.

A Gem Dragon.

And this one was still in dragon-egg form.

Shamir was utterly shocked.

The other pets were either adults or subadults, but now there was suddenly an egg.

How were they supposed to raise this?

Shamir could already imagine what their lives would be like afterward—incubating the egg, caring for it, and then raising a baby dragon.

It was practically like getting pregnant before marriage—

Ah, no.

They didn't even have a Zerg hatchling of their own yet, and they'd already started incubating an egg and raising a dragon hatchling.

Still...

It was really hard to imagine Mr. Ravens taking care of an egg.
