[Ate a Tianjia? Tianjia: ???]

[Damn it, “Tianjia” has become an insult again!]

[I’m used to it, I’m used to it. By now, I can separate what the protagonists think and say from An-shen himself. When An-shen writes Zerg protagonists and Tianjia protagonists, it’s like he has two completely different attitudes. It’s so complicated it’s like his left and right brains are fighting each other.]

[What’s wrong with saying “like you ate a Tianjia”? Don’t you Tianjia use the word “Zerg” when you insult people?]

[Hey, now that you mention it, the most insulting word among the Tianjia really is “Zerg.” Saying “You’re like a Zerg / You couldn’t possibly be a Zerg, could you?” is devastating enough to make a Tianjia furious and start a fight. So I guess we’re even.]

[What’s wrong with being like a Zerg? You Tianjia-raised...] (blocked for excessive profanity)

[Zerg-raised (rolling eyes), like you swallowed a bug, got fucked by a Zerg... Huh?]

[Damn it! Those Tianjia insults against Zergs aren’t in the Zerg StarNet profanity database! No Male Zerg lord is going to fuck you! Give up! What kind of beautiful daydream are you having in broad daylight?!]

[Stop cursing, stop cursing. I didn’t come online to expand my profanity vocabulary.]

[Lucas and Felix unexpectedly encounter a high-ranking Male Zerg. Resistance is futile.]

[It is not futile!]

[I believe Felix wouldn’t choose just any random high-ranking Male Zerg (sobbing). This guy already has a Female Zerg companion, yet he’s still inviting other Female Zergs without caring about his companion’s feelings at all. He’s a total playboy Male Zerg!]

[It’s normal for Male Zerg lords to be promiscuous (weakly). After all, it’s for reproduction. Male Zergs need to associate and sleep with as many Female Zergs as possible. But... but Felix and Lucas are together! I can’t accept some random Male Zerg suddenly joining them without warning (crying).]

[Look on the bright side. They can save on pheromone lubricant.]

[Save what?! It’s not like Major General Lucas didn’t bring pheromones! Is a dignified Major General short of the money to buy some pheromones?! If he really is, I can sponsor him! (tipped Spaceship ×1)]

[Exactly, exactly! No Male Zerg, no Male Zerg! I just want Felix and Lucas together, regardless of whether they’re female or male! (tipped Quantum Cannon ×10)]

[Whoa, I’m stunned. That is definitely not what you guys were saying when this book first started.]

Back then, Zergs and Tianjia from every side had analyzed how the two protagonists could marry the same Male Zerg, or argued that a relationship between two Female Zergs had no future and urged them to break up.

But now, they were instead unwilling to accept the addition of a Male Zerg and wanted Felix and Lucas to stay together.

At the same time that Lucas had fallen for Felix, they too had fallen for “Felix and Lucas” and accepted their relationship.

Even the most old-fashioned Female and Male Zergs didn’t speak up at this point.

The main reason was that those few lines hadn’t shown them anything particularly outstanding about that Male Zerg. He had nothing but the title of “high-ranking Male Zerg.” Nothing had been written about his looks, abilities, personality, or family background. He was far too vague, and from Lucas’s perspective, he even seemed somewhat unpleasant.

High-ranking Male Zergs were indeed precious, but for protagonists like Felix and Lucas, they weren’t so rare that there was no room to choose. If they were going to choose one, they should at least choose a good one. Ordinary Zergs might not have the luxury of choosing, but surely protagonists did?

If it were an obviously outstanding and charismatic Male Zerg, they might vote for him. But right now... better keep watching and see.

...

[Hearing the Male Zerg strike up a conversation, Felix looked at him in confusion.

“I do have a companion. The one beside me.”

Felix genuinely didn’t understand. He was already holding Lucas’s arm and practically glued to him. Was it really impossible to tell that they were together?

That was already essentially a rejection, but a Male Zerg who had never needed to read the room had no interest in such indirect implications.

“I mean a Male Zerg companion. Today is Lovers’ Festival, so of course you should spend it with a Male Zerg! How can you not have one? People will look down on you.”

The Male Zerg looked at Felix with condescending pity, as though saying, I’m only taking you in because I’m kind enough to do you a favor.

Felix understood.

He pulled over Lucas, who stood beside him with a terrible expression and cold air radiating from his body, and kissed the corner of his lips.

Then he turned toward the stunned Male Zerg and said, “Thank you for the offer, but there’s no need. We don’t need a Male Zerg. Lovers’ Festival is something you spend with your partner, not with a Male Zerg.”

With that, Felix led Lucas past the Male Zerg, leaving behind a crowd of utterly dumbfounded passersby.

Once they had walked some distance away, Felix’s carefree stride gradually stiffened.

It wasn’t because he feared the attention of the passersby or any trouble that might follow.

He was afraid of Lucas...

Felix held his neck rigid, his entire body stiff as he secretly glanced at the Zerg beside him from the corner of his eye. He had the distinct feeling that he was about to get beaten.

Lucas wouldn’t let him act intimate in front of other Zergs. While they were in the military, he wouldn’t even let Felix cling to him.

Yet Felix had just kissed him in front of everyone.

Lucas had to be furious. Maybe he wouldn’t want to continue this with him anymore, or perhaps he would simply beat him up.

Strangely enough, Lucas showed absolutely no intention of hitting him.

His stormy expression had even cleared. Although awkwardness and discomfort occasionally flickered across his face, it was obvious that Lucas was actually in a fairly good mood.

He wasn’t angry?

Felix was astonished.

Had the planet started spinning backward?

Lucas noticed his stare and lowered his eyes toward him. He coughed lightly, then said with slight awkwardness,

“Just this once. Don’t do that in front of other Zergs again.”

Lucas truly didn’t possess Felix’s courage to flaunt a relationship between two Female Zergs until everyone knew about it. He was also worried about Felix because of it.

Felix keenly caught the key phrase in his words and eagerly asked,

“So I can do it when there aren’t other Zergs around?”

Lucas’s gaze flickered, and he wanted to look away. But faced with Felix’s expectant eyes, he ultimately answered, although it was only a barely audible,

“Mm.”

Felix had already done things like that before.

He had kissed Lucas on the aircraft. Lucas hadn’t rejected him then, and he wouldn’t reject him afterward either.

As long as they weren’t in the military or somewhere conspicuous in full public view, Lucas’s boundaries with Felix had already retreated until there was almost nothing left.

Hearing Lucas’s answer, Felix wanted nothing more than to drag him straight into a room and do this and that with him right now.

Only because he remembered their date plans—and because he didn’t want Lucas to think he was a Zerg who cared about nothing but his lower body—did Felix force himself to endure.

Even so, he became completely distracted, his thoughts flying everywhere as excitement and restlessness surged inside him.

In the end, it was actually Lucas who stopped walking and took the initiative to suggest that they go rest at the hotel.

“Huh?” Felix looked at him, both delighted and confused. “Are you not having fun? You want to go back to the hotel already?”

He worried that Lucas didn’t like the itinerary he had arranged.

“No.” Lucas’s gaze drifted away, but he maintained a serious expression as he said in a low voice, “I want to do something else.”

Felix: “?!!”

What else was there to say?

Whatever that “something else” was, he would arrange it immediately!

Felix hurriedly located the hotel, summoned the aircraft, and took Lucas there.

Dawn Star Hotel was the tallest building on Amber Star, overlooking the entire bustling main city.

The nighttime view would be beautiful, lights of every color flowing like a river of stars. It was somewhat less impressive during the day, but the view was still excellent.

Felix pulled open the curtains and stood before the enormous floor-to-ceiling window, looking down.

He turned around, intending to invite Lucas over to admire the scenery with him, only to discover that Lucas had already gone into the bathroom to shower.

Listening to the sound of running water from the bathroom, Felix’s face flushed slightly.

He still wasn’t certain whether Lucas meant what Felix thought he meant—whether he wanted to do something a little risqué with him—but hearing that water inevitably sent his imagination running wild.

Felix walked over to the large bed in the center of the room.

Since Amber Star was one of the planets where the Lovers’ Festival atmosphere was strongest, the hotel had also put up some special decorations today.

For example, gaudy red flower petals had been scattered across the bed.

And the bathroom walls could be switched between transparent glass and mirrors with a single press.

Thinking of Lucas showering inside, Felix ultimately feared getting beaten enough that he didn’t dare do anything like that.

The red petals were far too tacky.

Felix wanted to clear them away beforehand, but then remembered Lucas hadn’t seen them yet and decided to wait.

Even if it was only something embarrassing, he wanted to share it with Lucas, even if there was no practical point to doing so.

Felix sat on the edge of the bed and waited.

One moment, he wondered whether he looked good enough right now and whether he could attract Lucas. The next, he urgently searched StarNet to learn a few things.

He knew far too little about matters between females and males. In fact, because of his experiences and his family inheritance, his awareness of sex and gender was extremely weak, and sometimes he even had trouble distinguishing Female Zergs from Male Zergs.

If he deliberately examined them, he could tell the difference, but unless there was a reason to do so, he wouldn’t consciously think about it.

Female Zerg or Male Zerg, they were all simply Zergs in his eyes.

Regardless of sex, they were fundamentally Zergs.

But things were different now.

He needed to satisfy Lucas, so he had to consider matters between the sexes and had a great deal to learn.

Felix switched his terminal to private mode and made certain that neither the images nor the sound could leak out before finally concentrating on his studies.

Most of the educational material wasn’t very appealing, so Felix could only pick and choose, learning a little from here and taking a little from there, piecing everything together.

Before long, Lucas emerged from the bathroom.

There was still a trace of moisture at the ends of his hair, and he smelled fresh and pleasant.

Felix hurriedly dismissed the light screen, straightened his clothes, and looked at Lucas with flushed cheeks.

Lucas gave him a puzzled glance. Thinking about what was about to happen, he also felt somewhat nervous.

Pretending to be perfectly natural, he walked toward the bed and noticed the unnecessary flower petals scattered across it.

They were obviously meant for a Female and Male Zerg.

But the two of them were both Female Zergs.

Lucas wasn’t certain what Felix thought about them, so he looked toward him.

Felix instantly sprang to his feet.

“I’m going to shower first!”

With that, he darted into the bathroom.

Now Lucas was the one left to suffer through the waiting.

In the end, he did clear away the fragrant petals from the bed.

Two Female Zergs on a bed covered in flower petals... felt somewhat strange.

An image flashed through Lucas’s mind—Felix’s beautiful wine-red hair spread across the petals.

Lucas’s movements paused.

In the end, he left a few petals behind.

As though he simply hadn’t cleaned them all up and had accidentally missed a few.

By the time Felix emerged from the bathroom, Lucas was already sitting on one side of the large bed, his long legs stretched out casually.

He looked exceptionally attractive.

Felix stared at Lucas’s long legs for an extra moment, then raised his eyes and discovered Lucas browsing something on the light screen.

Judging by that serious expression, Felix knew Lucas was reading something perfectly proper.

Unlike him.

Felix moved closer to take a look, but Lucas had already switched off the light screen. His calm gaze settled on Felix.

Felix was drawn toward him.

Lucas always attracted him. Felix thought every part of him looked good and couldn’t resist leaning closer to kiss him.

Lucas didn’t refuse.

Although he was stiff and had no idea how to respond, he gradually relaxed under Felix’s kisses and slowly lay back.

Felix caught the faint scent of cool, crisp pheromones.

At first, the fragrance carried a chill, but its lingering notes gradually warmed, like the glow and breeze of dusk, like a hot spring and its warmth beneath the night sky.

It was exactly like Lucas himself—cold on the outside, warm within.

It smelled exceptionally good.

Lucas’s pheromones left Felix lightheaded, and he couldn’t resist leaning closer to breathe them in, until the tip of his nose was almost pressed against Lucas’s neck.

But Lucas suddenly pushed him away.

Felix was still dazed. He hadn’t even realized he was being rejected and merely stared at Lucas in bewilderment.

Lucas steadied his breathing.

He could also sense his own pheromones escaping beyond his control.

This was worse than he had expected.

Female Zergs disliked the scent of the same sex. Lucas had thought he could suppress his pheromones, yet all it took was Felix touching him for them to leak out.

Lucas’s expression darkened.

Only when he saw that Felix didn’t appear particularly repulsed did he breathe a sigh of relief.

Even so, he didn’t dare let things continue this way. He was afraid that once the scent became stronger, Felix would find it disgusting.

Lucas regulated his breathing and said hoarsely,

“Wait. Open a tube of pheromones first.”

Even if Lucas hadn’t understood at first, he had eventually learned that Male Zerg pheromones had to be used as a bonding agent. Only then could two Female Zergs get through the difficult adjustment period together.

Hearing the word “pheromones,” Felix was still confused and failed to understand what Lucas meant.

Until he saw Lucas take out a tube containing the pheromones of an unfamiliar Male Zerg.

“??!”

Felix instantly exploded.

He was right here, yet Lucas actually took out a tube of some other Male Zerg’s pheromones?

Was he saying Felix wasn’t good enough?

Or that Lucas simply wasn’t interested in him?

Felix felt so aggrieved he could die.
