I Write Novels in a Zerg Prison
Chapter 219: Tianjia Prince × Mixed-Blood Military Female (6): The Prince Asked Him to Exercise His Rights as a Female Lord
[What is this Tianjia thinking? The Prince and the Tianjia Emperor? Every Zerg who's read the novel knows the Tianjia Emperor and Lord Carl are a couple, okay? Doesn't he read novels? (confused Zerg face)]
[You're asking a Zerg or Tianjia inside the novel world to read the novel? That's making things way too difficult for them (holds forehead).]
[I don't buy it. An-shen advertises his own books and movies inside his novels, which means there are novels and movies in the world of the book too. It must be because Caleb doesn't pay enough attention to different kinds of novels. See? This is what you get for not reading (spreads hands).]
[Huh? Why have I barely seen any Tianjia pretending to be Zergs in the comments today? I'm actually not used to it. What are they all doing? Did all their accounts get banned?]
[Apparently something major is happening over in Tianjia. Something about... a wedding?]
The wedding of Prince Metis and Lieutenant General Caleb was held in early October, from the first through the seventh, lasting an entire week.
The Tianjia were dumbfounded when they received the news.
An-shen happened to update with a new chapter right then. They clicked into it in a daze, only to find that the marriage had just been settled in the novel as well.
Could this book have been a custom commission ordered by Lieutenant General Caleb? Had he wanted to use it to propose marriage to the Prince—and actually succeeded?
Wait, no. Since when had relations between Tianjia and Zergs become good enough to commission custom novels across species?!
If Lieutenant General Caleb had really done that, wouldn't it count as colluding with the enemy?
The Zerggate scandal???
The Tianjia were collectively dazed.
The chances that Lieutenant General Caleb had contacted a Zerg to commission a custom novel were infinitesimally small. If something like that were discovered, the consequences would be enormous. At best, he would destroy his own career. At worst, he would face imprisonment.
It was even less likely that the Prince had commissioned it. How could a male possibly do something like that?
Could it have been His Majesty the Emperor?!
After getting a book about himself and the Male Zerg Carl, His Majesty had been so pleased after reading it that not only had he unbanned An-shen's books, he'd even arranged one for his Imperial Brother?
That actually sounded surprisingly reasonable!
Everything lined up!
The Tianjia were profoundly shocked.
No matter what, the marriage from An-shen's novel had now appeared in reality. Whether it was coincidence or a custom commission, the excitement of the Tianjia readers was impossible to put into words. It was as though they themselves had participated in this historic event.
They eagerly awaited the wedding.
Unlike those Zergs who could only read the novel on StarNet, they actually had a chance to obtain firsthand footage!
...
The Male Zerg Eugene, who had returned to using his real name, had been busy conducting psychic exchanges with the Tianjia and helping the military develop Psychic Soothing equipment. As a result, he'd been offline for long stretches of time.
Today, he finally had a day off. The moment he logged onto StarNet, he was greeted by overwhelming news about a Tianjia Imperial wedding.
He froze for a moment and clicked into it, only to discover that it was the Tianjia Prince marrying some Lieutenant General.
At the same time, he came across the novel.
While browsing the novel to relax, Eugene opened an anonymous account saved on his terminal and sent a message to ask about it.
[Eugene (Carl)]: Your Imperial Brother is getting married?
..: Are you finished with your work? It'll still be a while on my end. Once my Imperial Brother's wedding is over, I'll go see you.
Eugene wasn't in any hurry. He had given Ares enough pheromone doses to last him, so even another few months would be fine.
Although he did miss him a little, there was absolutely no way Eugene would say that aloud. Otherwise, it would sound like he was desperately looking forward to meeting him and sleeping with him.
But... since Ares's older brother was getting married, shouldn't Eugene send him a gift too?
Eugene propped his chin on his hand and thought about it.
He remembered Ares mentioning that his Imperial Brother liked reading An-shen's books.
Tianjia had imported An-shen's books, but only the digital editions. Eugene could give him a complete set of the physical Zerg deluxe editions.
Zerg interstellar delivery couldn't ship to Tianjia, so he would have to wait until Ares came over next time and have him take them back. They definitely wouldn't arrive in time for the wedding.
But the Prince was probably busy with the wedding right now and wouldn't have time to read anyway. He could read them once things settled down afterward.
Having made his decision, Eugene didn't mention the gift to Ares for the time being. Instead, he merely asked out of curiosity whether Ares knew there was a novel about his Imperial Brother on StarNet.
Ares, who didn't like reading novels, naturally hadn't paid any attention.
..: Is there inappropriate content in it?
There wasn't.
Eugene looked through it, then raised his hand and replied.
[Eugene (Carl)]: It's a love story.
An-shen's love stories were wholesome enough to pass censorship easily in any interstellar nation. The content was proper and the emotions sincere. Even if the person involved read it himself, he would only be surprised rather than feel any negative emotions.
During the days he spent waiting to meet Ares, Eugene occasionally opened the novel and checked for new chapters.
And he really did manage to get an update before they met.
...
[The aircraft stopped in front of the estate's main building.
The Prince looked outside at the home that belonged to the two of them, then told Caleb to come to his room that night.
Only after saying that did he step directly out of the aircraft.
Strictly speaking, words like telling a female to come to his room at night weren't supposed to come from a male.
Females had always decided for themselves where they would sleep. Even if a male wanted companionship, he was supposed to ask in a coquettish tone.
But the Prince was afraid that if he didn't say anything, Caleb intended to sleep separately from him for the rest of their lives.
This wasn't a marriage either of them had looked forward to.
Caleb had explicitly stated before that he had no intention of marrying for the time being.
The Prince himself had all kinds of aversions toward females and found it difficult to accept the traditional model of marriage.
But they were already married.
There was no room to turn back.
Even if they wanted to divorce, they couldn't do so immediately after getting married. This concerned the Imperial Family and couldn't be treated so frivolously. They would have to wait at least ten years, until the public had largely forgotten about the matter, before dissolving the marriage could become a possibility.
If possible, the Prince still wanted to make his life with Caleb work.
He didn't want conflicts or barriers to remain between them.
It was the first time he had ever invited a female to his room at night. The Prince himself hadn't expected to be capable of saying something like that, even though the female in question was his Female Lord within their marriage.
The Prince showered first and changed into a sleeping robe. He had a robotic Tianjia arrange his hair into a relaxed yet beautiful style and prepared himself even more meticulously than he had on their wedding day.
Then he sat beside the bed and waited for Caleb to come in.
The other man had already been wandering around this floor for quite some time, walking and stopping, occasionally looking toward his door, then occasionally standing there like a guard with his mind completely blank.
Metis sensed all of this through his Psychic Power and couldn't help feeling confused.
For Caleb, was coming into his room really such a difficult thing to decide?
Was it because of the difference in their status?
Because Metis was a Prince?
Caleb hesitated outside without entering, while Metis sat beside the bed with his brows drawn together and waited.
Finally, two minutes before exactly 20:00, Caleb walked up to the door and stood facing it.
Only when the time reached exactly the hour did he raise his hand and knock.
Metis: "...Come in."
The female had rendered him speechless. Metis even forgot to say "please," making it sound even more as though he were using his status to order another Tianjia around.
Metis immediately regretted it.
But Caleb had already pushed the door open and entered.
Seeing Metis sitting beside the bed, he paused briefly. Then he naturally reached behind himself, closed the door, and walked toward him.
He stopped exactly one step in front of Metis, bowed, and greeted him.
"Your Highness."
Metis: "..."
No matter how little Prince Metis understood ordinary Tianjia families, even he knew this was definitely not how a Female Lord and his male husband normally interacted at home.
"You don't need to be so... deferential toward me. You're my Female Lord. You can exercise your rights as my Female Lord," Metis said.
Caleb froze slightly, then indicated that he understood.
He realized he hadn't been behaving enough like a Tianjia.
Similar things had often happened during his adolescence. He'd gone through a long period of confusion before finally adjusting.
If he wanted to live peacefully in the Tianjia Empire, he had to behave in a way that better conformed to the standards expected of a Tianjia female.
The Prince was asking him to exercise his rights as a Female Lord.
A Female Lord was entitled to enjoy his male husband.
He should be more assertive about enjoying him.
Caleb looked at the Prince sitting beside the bed, silently took a deep breath, and slowly approached. Then he crouched halfway down in front of him.
He took hold of the Prince's ankle, lifted his foot, moved aside the long hem of the sleeping robe covering his lower leg, lowered his head, and exercised his rights as a Female Lord.
Metis's eyes flew wide open in shock. He had to cover his mouth to suppress the sound that nearly escaped.
He had prepared himself to let Caleb enjoy him, then reveal his wings afterward. If he still had the energy, he would talk things through with Caleb once they were finished.
Instead, things were different from what he'd imagined from the very beginning.
Mist gathered in Metis's eyes. Panic filled his heart as he realized he understood far too little about what happened between females and males.
Even though he'd consulted married males during the male gathering at the wedding, none of them had told him what he was supposed to do when something like this happened.
Why was Caleb putting his mouth on his foot?
It tickled.
The males had told him that if he ever encountered a situation where he didn't know what to do, he could simply lie down and expose his belly. His Female Lord would take care of everything.
But Metis felt he could hold out a little longer.
Faced with something unknown, his stubbornness only grew stronger, and he wasn't willing to simply expose his belly and surrender.
It wasn't until Caleb's kisses reached between his legs that Metis finally fell straight back into the soft bedding.
Metis stared blankly at the female above him, both hands drawn stiffly against his chest, completely stunned.
Caleb was looking at him too.
In the darkness, his eyes burned hotter than usual.
Under Metis's gaze, he loosened the sash of the sleeping robe and leaned over him.
At some point, the stiffness in Metis's body gradually softened beneath Caleb's soothing touch. He allowed Caleb to gather him into his arms and hold him close, his scorching breaths falling over him.
Caleb was always silent.
Metis was unwilling to make much noise either. He lightly bit Caleb's shoulder, suppressing everything until only faint breaths escaped him.
Those sounds brushed past Caleb's ears like some tiny animal gently scratching at his heart.
Caleb felt an itch inside and turned his head to look at him.
The Prince's eyes were tightly closed. He clung to Caleb's shoulder, his face flushed crimson and exceptionally beautiful.
Caleb wasn't sure whether the Prince liked it. He wanted to do more, but he was also mindful of the Prince's feelings, so after twice, he hesitantly stopped.
It wasn't until he was cleaning the Prince afterward that he remembered the Prince's rank was comparable to his own, both of them approaching S-rank.
The higher a male's rank, the stronger his abilities and desires.
If Caleb failed to satisfy the Prince, perhaps the Prince would go looking for another female.
Caleb's palm tightened.
Tentatively, he touched the Prince's waist.
The Prince glanced lightly at him and watched him quietly without refusing.
So Caleb gathered his courage and continued exercising his rights as a Female Lord.
It wasn't until dawn was approaching that Caleb finally cleaned the Prince up completely and carried him out of the bathroom.
The bedding had already been completely replaced, fresh and clean, with only the lingering pheromones remaining in the air.
Metis lay in the soft bedding, his mind pleasantly blank, unwilling to move.
When he sensed the female beside him preparing to get up and leave, Metis caught hold of him.
So Caleb leaned back toward him and stayed by his side.
Metis lay there for a while.
Only after his mind cleared did he remember that he'd forgotten to reveal his wings again.
He could consciously control whether his wings emerged, but Caleb had completely scrambled his ability to think rationally.
Metis turned his back to him and slipped the sleeping robe down from his shoulders, exposing his smooth shoulders and back.
He immediately sensed the female behind him stop breathing for a moment.
Metis tensed as well, afraid Caleb was going to start again.
It wasn't that he felt disgusted or resistant.
It was simply that sensation of approaching the brink of losing control that frightened him.
Besides, dawn was almost here, and he still had to go to work later.
They really couldn't continue.
Fortunately, Caleb didn't do anything to him.
Metis relaxed and allowed the female to touch his back.
If Caleb cared about this, then Metis was willing to show him his wings.
Even though a male revealing his fragile wings before a powerful female was as dangerous as exposing his internal organs.
But this was Caleb.
Perhaps he could trust him.
If even Caleb couldn't be trusted, then Metis had no other choice.
Metis's fingers curled, forming a loose fist.
He tried to release his wings, entrusting Caleb with his trust.
Magnificent golden wings unfurled, and the room suddenly brightened.
As the wings spread open, dazzling streams of gold and purple light flowed across the walls and bedding. The surfaces of the wings fluttered gently, shifting colors as their angle changed, brilliant gold alternating with pinkish purple in an endlessly changing display.
Holding his breath, Metis turned his head to look at Caleb.
Caleb was staring blankly at the wings, his eyes filled with astonishment and wonder.
But in the very next instant, as though he'd suddenly remembered something, his expression changed.
He abruptly sat upright in complete panic.
Metis: "?"
