I Write Novels in a Zerg Prison
Chapter 205: I Kept Your Bed: 'You don’t need to worry about not being used to sleeping in a bed outside. I kept the bed you used before.'
The discussion about whether or not An Ruo should leave prison ultimately ended with An Ruo standing his ground.
He was very worried that Ulysses would break the rules to get him out of prison, damaging his reputation and the public’s trust in him. He repeatedly stressed that Ulysses absolutely could not do that, or else he would get angry.
Ulysses cooperatively agreed, but An Ruo could still tell that he had other ideas.
An Ruo anxiously tossed and turned until Ulysses finally pulled him into his arms.
Feeling the warmth and security of the embrace, An Ruo thought that Ulysses probably would not force things against his wishes either, so for the time being, he chose to trust him, merely scratching his back in retaliation.
To Ulysses, that amount of force was too light to even count as a massage or a proper scratch.
But it was a male who had scratched him, so ultimately, it was different.
He kissed the male on the temple and coaxed him to sleep.
The mood from earlier had already passed, and the male was currently angry with him, so naturally, he would not be willing to get intimate with him.
It was somewhat regrettable, but there would always be another opportunity.
The sound of rain outside gradually stopped, and the male slept peacefully in his arms.
The life Ulysses longed for was nothing more than this.
He merely wanted them to be a little closer—not only physically, but in their hearts as well.
Ulysses thought about his plans for later. Having the male in his arms made his mind relax, and before he could think for long, he fell asleep as well.
The morning sunlight streamed through the window.
An Ruo had wanted to watch the rain last night, so he had not drawn the curtains. When the sunlight woke him, he was still somewhat dazed.
When he opened his eyes, all he saw was a broad, firm chest.
He was not very accustomed to overly soft beds and had instinctively searched for something supportive in his sleep. Without realizing it, he had ended up sprawled entirely on top of Ulysses.
No wonder the bed last night had seemed soft one moment and rock-hard the next.
The collar of Ulysses’ robe had fallen completely open, making An Ruo’s face turn red.
All right. His face was still pressed against it.
An Ruo quietly shifted, trying to move away, only to discover something even more awkward.
He immediately froze.
He was still lying on top of Ulysses, their bodies pressed together, fitting against each other just like this. Ulysses’ robe seemed to have come open as well, and An Ruo was not even sure whether there was anything covering him underneath.
He stiffly raised his eyes toward Ulysses, intending to quietly move away while he was not paying attention.
But how could his movements possibly escape an SSS-rank female Zerg? Ulysses had already awakened the moment An Ruo’s breathing changed. In fact, he had become fully awake slightly earlier than An Ruo.
The instant their eyes met, An Ruo felt as though electricity had shot through him and abruptly shuddered.
He opened his mouth to explain but could not get a single word out.
Ulysses reassured him, “This is a perfectly normal phenomenon. If you had no reaction to me whatsoever, I would start questioning my own charm and wonder whether I truly held no attraction for you at all.”
Of course that was not the case.
Ulysses had already seen the answer in his expression.
He smiled, wrapped an arm around him, and turned them over. Supporting An Ruo’s back, he gently laid him down and said, “Please leave it to me.”
An Ruo said nothing, his gaze flickering nervously.
Under circumstances like these, not explicitly refusing was already consent.
Ulysses’ Adam’s apple bobbed. He glanced downward, then disappeared beneath the covers.
An Ruo’s face exploded red.
Although he could not see anything, he could feel every one of Ulysses’ movements, even the breaths spilling over him.
Ulysses’ fingertips rubbed tentatively along the edge, seemingly confirming the exact position.
Considering an SSS-rank female Zerg’s exceptional ability to perceive physical objects in darkness, the gesture seemed entirely unnecessary. Perhaps Ulysses was nervous as well.
After a while, An Ruo felt his breathing draw closer, followed by a much softer touch.
Dazed, An Ruo sank into the warmth. It was as though he had fallen ill, a high fever making his face burn until even his breathing felt scorching hot.
An Ruo suddenly remembered something.
Would Ulysses have trouble breathing underneath the covers?
Still muddleheaded, he raised a hand, intending to lift the covers slightly so Ulysses could get some air.
The covers were hurriedly held down from the inside.
Ulysses seemed to choke, and a cough sounded from underneath. An Ruo could feel the vibration as well, seemingly accompanied by the trembling of his Adam’s apple and vocal cords.
He immediately stopped moving and lay obediently where he was, impossibly well-behaved.
An SSS-rank female Zerg would not suffocate so easily, but an SSS-rank female Zerg’s teeth could kill him instantly.
Ulysses kept his teeth carefully restrained. With his extreme control over his body, he left no possibility for any accident to occur.
An Ruo continued burning with feverish heat. He did not know how much time passed before he suddenly felt his entire body loosen, all the pain and discomfort fading away.
Only after a while did Ulysses crawl out from beneath the covers and look at him.
The corners of his eyes were flushed, and he looked somewhat disheveled, his lips pressed tightly together. Yet those eyes stared at An Ruo with unwavering determination and stubborn intensity, searching his face for the slightest change in expression to make sure he was satisfied.
An Ruo raised his arms and hugged him.
Ulysses paused slightly, then his entire body relaxed. He collapsed onto An Ruo, his pheromones finally spilling out without restraint, their dark fragrance filling the room.
An Ruo felt the faint trembling of his body. He soothingly stroked Ulysses’ back and asked with concern, “Are you all right?”
Without a male Zerg’s pheromones, it was difficult for a female Zerg to experience true satisfaction.
But Ulysses was already satisfied.
This was already the absolute limit of what he could have imagined—better than even the best.
He responded quietly, unwilling to move, and hugged the male back, wishing this moment could last forever.
Feeling the weight of the female Zerg pressing against his chest, An Ruo still had not entirely recovered his senses.
How had things suddenly turned into this?
Although Ulysses had kissed him before, those two kinds of kisses seemed to carry entirely different meanings.
Ulysses was still assuring him, “I’ll do better next time.”
An Ruo believed him. He was extremely good at drawing conclusions from practical experience, and his ability to learn was astonishing.
But did something like this really need to get any better? He was already... incredibly good at it.
Besides, don’t just assume there’s going to be a next time!
An Ruo had not given him any pheromones.
He had completely forgotten about that.
By the time he remembered and looked over again, Ulysses had already dressed beside the bed. He was neat and immaculate once more, no different from before.
There was no dissatisfaction between his brows. On the contrary, there was a faint trace of satiation.
It was only between female Zergs and male Zergs that pheromones were necessary.
Ulysses did not seem to have any intention of seeking pheromones from him.
An Ruo had been in this world for so long, yet he had only provided pheromones twice for Axel while he was still inside the egg. Normally, he completely forgot about the whole pheromone setting.
He was somewhat different from other male Zergs. Under normal circumstances, his bodily fluids did not contain pheromones. Pheromones would only appear when he remembered that he had them and actively intended to release them.
Ulysses did not seem inclined to ask him for any either.
An Ruo agonized over it for a while, then decided that Ulysses probably did not need them and tossed the matter of pheromones to the back of his mind.
“I’ll take you back... there?” Ulysses asked.
He did not particularly want to mention going back to prison. But the male wanted to continue living there, so he could only take him back, which left him somewhat depressed.
“Mm.” An Ruo straightened his clothes and answered quietly. When he raised his eyes toward Ulysses, they were bright.
When he went into the bathroom to wash and change, he discovered that his body was actually quite clean, with only a little of Ulysses’ fragrance lingering on him.
He had no idea how Ulysses had cleaned him up underneath the covers. Somehow, there had not been even the slightest trace left behind in the end.
An Ruo’s mind had been muddled at the time, so he could not remember much. All he remembered was that when Ulysses emerged, he had caught a fleeting glimpse of his firm chest rubbed red and his vividly colored lips.
He suddenly felt a little regretful that he had not seen anything else. Somehow, it felt as though he had missed out on quite a lot.
Meeting the smile in the male’s eyes, Ulysses froze slightly. In an instant, he forgot everything else and reached out to take his hand.
An Ruo naturally clasped it and followed him into the spatial passage.
He was perfectly steady when entering the spatial passage, yet when they came out, he ended up pressed against Ulysses again.
He had just been about to steady himself when Ulysses embraced him.
“May I invite you to my residence sometime?” Ulysses asked softly.
Before An Ruo could speak, Ulysses hurriedly added,
“You don’t need to worry about not being used to sleeping in a bed outside. I kept the bed you used before.”
The male had mumbled in his sleep last night that the bed was too soft and uncomfortable.
Ulysses had remembered.
An Ruo: “?”
Wait.
What?
His bed?
