I Write Novels in a Zerg Prison
Chapter 163: Virtual Love Interest × Legion Commander (20): Tonight He’s Going to Watch Morris’ Belly Glow!
[Is this really okay, Lord Roy?! (horrified)]
[I want to order the same model as Lord Roy. Does anyone know where to get one? (shy)]
[Morris really hit the jackpot—even in real life.]
[Single female Zergs can use them too. Machine Bug technology is incredibly advanced now. Just load in the pheromones you buy, and it feels amazing. You can even swap between different pheromone brands whenever you like.]
[Artificial pheromones or male Zerg pheromones? You can switch them that easily? That's some serious money.]
[It depends on your budget. The biggest problem is the appearance. No high-ranking Lord is willing to license his likeness, so the automatically generated models never look quite real enough. Some master designers specialize in custom appearances, but those come with a beautiful price tag.]
[Honestly, they can't lay eggs and they can't perform Psychic Soothing, so there's not much point beyond entertainment.]
[It's basically another way to enjoy purchased pheromones. Don't expect too much.]
[My verdict: not even one ten-thousandth as good as a real Lord.]
[If you have a Lord, of course you'd rather sleep with him. The problem is you can't get one.]
[Machine Bugs do have one advantage—they won't randomly smack you. Unless you specifically customize them to. (Private option.)]
[The lack of realism is still an issue. No matter how well they imitate a male Zerg's personality, there are always tiny details that feel off. You can always tell it's an intelligent program.]
[Morris doesn't have to worry about that. Lord Roy can actually perform Psychic Soothing on him.]
[Is it really Psychic Soothing? Wasn't it just Morris imagining things?]
[Lord Roy literally chased him out of the game using a Psychic Mark, and you still think it was just some in-game illusion?]
[Morris struck absolute gold!]
[An-shen really knows how to write female Zerg wish-fulfillment stories. I swear this is just a dream novel the marriage-averse Legion Commander commissioned for himself.]
[He doesn't want to marry a real male Zerg, so he dreams about the virtual male Zerg from his game being able to perform Psychic Soothing—and even crossing into reality to find him.]
[What a wonderful dream. As expected of a Legion Commander. He dreams on an entirely different level than the rest of us.]
Some male Zergs angrily protested:
[A dream is still just a dream! Morris will get married sooner or later! It's only a matter of time!]
[No matter how steadfast a female Zerg is, he'll eventually bow his head for Psychic Soothing!]
[Morris just hasn't experienced the pheromones of a truly high-ranking male Zerg yet. Once he does, he'll finally come to his senses!]
...
【Inside the aircraft, Morris and Roy discussed Roy's new body before placing a custom order with a single tap.
From ordering to manufacturing and packaging, everything was fully automated, with complete privacy protection.
The package would arrive at their home through spatial transport in just one star-hour.
That was exactly enough time for them to get back.
Roy's consciousness slipped into the aircraft, using its incredible visual system to gaze at the boundless sea of stars. Massive starships and private aircraft occasionally passed in the distance. The universe was vast, yet lively.
To Roy, it was an entirely new world.
He had never imagined what existed beyond a planet.
The farthest he'd ever traveled had been a city about a hundred kilometers away, and then a somewhat more distant island, when he and Morris had gone together to attend a wedding.
This world felt like a dream.
Once they left the military base and its restrictions, Roy connected to StarNet again.
Countless Zergs were discussing a virtual dating game online.
It was still in closed beta and hadn't officially launched, but beta testers were already sharing screenshots and videos, while some even streamed their gameplay live.
Roy spotted the male Zerg he'd met before in one of the livestreams.
He was playing a multiplayer game, and the female Zerg beside him was another player.
The two of them preferred staying inside their in-game home together rather than exploring or changing the game world.
All of those beta testers seemed like genuinely good people.
Roy quietly breathed a sigh of relief.
Besides the game, StarNet was also buzzing with discussions about a novel.
For some reason, though, Roy couldn't see its contents.
A layer of mist obscured everything, as though a firewall were blocking his view.
Just as he was wondering why, the aircraft announced that they had arrived home.
Morris' home.
On Capital Star, Morris owned a three-story villa.
As a female Zerg determined never to marry, he had no large family to support and had little interest in spending money on his residence. Compared to officers of the same rank, his home could even be described as rather modest.
But in Roy's eyes...
It was unbelievably luxurious!
Capital Star, where every inch of land was worth a fortune!
A detached three-story villa!
With its own yard!
Beautiful surroundings!
Not another resident within a hundred meters!
After stepping off the aircraft, Morris turned around to ask whether Roy had followed him.
Instead, he discovered that his front door had already opened by itself.
The male Zerg had not only walked right in—
He had already taken over the house's control permissions.
The feeling was strangely wonderful.
Morris had never imagined bringing a male Zerg home, opening every permission to him, and making him the Male Lord of this household.
Yet everything had happened naturally.
And, surprisingly...
He didn't feel the slightest resistance.
Roy was different.
Different from every other male Zerg.
Even though Morris still couldn't see him, simply knowing Roy was beside him filled him with peace.
Morris walked inside after him.
The package they had ordered had already arrived.
He took it out of the spatial storage container.
It was an enormous crate, wrapped in layer after layer of protective packaging, complete with a dedicated resting pod for Machine Bugs.
After opening it, he found the Machine Bug lying quietly inside.
It looked exactly like Roy.
The only difference...
Was that it wasn't alive.
Morris stared blankly.
The next moment, Machine Bug Roy opened his eyes.
Those beautiful blue eyes darted around before instantly becoming full of life.
Roy sat up excitedly and examined himself.
He was wearing the factory-issued white outfit: white pants, a fitted long-sleeved shirt that clung tightly around certain parts of his body.
He was dying to take a closer look.
But with Morris standing nearby, he couldn't bring himself to do something so image-destroying.
He flipped himself out of the pod, stood up, walked around, then bounced a few times.
It felt every bit as light and comfortable as his own body.
Amazing.
Roy sighed inwardly.
Morris stayed close beside him, afraid he might fall, ready to catch him at any moment.
Roy's balance was excellent.
If anything, it might even be better than the body he'd had inside the game.
Even the slightest loss of balance was corrected almost instantly.
Perhaps this body was even better suited to a male Zerg's naturally agile Psychic Power.
"Morris."
Roy turned toward him, blinking.
"What do you think? Do I look strange like this?"
As he spoke, Roy rubbed his cheeks and deliberately made several exaggerated expressions.
"Not strange."
"Very cute."
Morris answered honestly.
He looked so lively.
Even if Roy had still been nothing more than a round egg-shaped Machine Bug, Morris would have found him adorable.
Never mind now.
Roy wanted to try his wings.
The living room was spacious enough.
Golden wings burst open behind him in a dazzling display.
With a gentle flap, both of his feet lifted off the ground.
Morris hurried forward to steady him, his eyes reflecting those brilliant golden wings.
Roy glanced down at him.
His eyes twinkled.
Then he grabbed Morris by the arm instead and effortlessly lifted him into the air as well.
He flew while carrying Morris in his arms.
Never in his life had Morris imagined being carried through the air by a male Zerg.
The Machine Bug's wings were incredible.
Their lifting power was astonishing.
Roy absolutely loved them.
By the time Roy gently set Morris down on the sofa...
Morris was still frozen in a daze.
"You didn't like it?"
Roy asked after folding away his wings.
"No..."
"I was just..."
"Too shocked."
It completely overturned everything he thought he knew.
What male Zerg carried a female Zerg through the sky?
Roy found Morris' expression especially adorable.
The usually calm and composed military female looked utterly bewildered, as though his mind had gone completely blank.
Unable to resist, Roy hugged him and rubbed against him affectionately before asking whether he wanted to try out his glowing deluxe Roy.
The tips of Morris' ears turned faintly red.
Before he could answer, Roy abruptly sprang back to his feet.
"I need to take a shower first."
Fresh from the factory, it just felt dirty somehow.
Even though it smelled sterilized...
That almost made it worse.
Roy definitely didn't want to be intimate with Morris while smelling like disinfectant.
"Can Machine Bugs take showers?"
Roy suddenly remembered to ask.
"They can," Morris replied.
"They're completely waterproof. Just like a real male Zerg, they can shower, soak in a bath, or even swim."
Only then did Roy relax.
He asked Morris to take him upstairs to the master bedroom's bathroom.
Morris waited outside while Roy went in alone.
With Morris no longer around, Roy removed his clothes and carefully inspected every part of his body, exploring all of its functions.
Morris had insisted he didn't want any of it...
Yet he'd still installed the glowing function, vibration function, camera function, and everything else.
The only disappointment was the lack of built-in music.
Still...
That wasn't a problem.
He could just play his own.
Tonight—
He was going to watch Morris' belly glow!】
