I was Chosen By A Perverted Goddess To Help Save Her World
Chapter 81: I Might As Well
Though the walk back from Nymira’s accommodations was technically the same distance, Ben felt that this time around, the journey was much more easier and equally delightful.
He had gotten more than he bargained for, and he couldn’t be happier at the surprising development. Now he just hopes everything keeps going smoothly like today.
As Ben got closer to the immediate estate mansions, he began to see a few servants here and there, as well as some others whom he noted weren’t servants from their dressing and actions, as well as how they were regarded.
Both the servants and these few guests or special staff of some status seemed to have all familiarized themselves with who Ben was in this short period of time.
Ben wasn’t sure if a missive was sent out informing the whole estate of their new guest staff.....
But while the servants held scrutiny and a few other turbulent emotions in their expressions seeing Ben, most still showed proper respect to his status as he walked by. Except for a select few, that is.
The few in question did nothing to hide their distaste for Ben wherever he passed through.
Though he was technically a special staff above them, also a special healer mahji in training, these couple of servants didn’t appear to care.
Another thing he noted about them was that they all were basically loitering around while other servants did the jobs they were supposed to be working on together, which began to paint a picture of who exactly these rude servants might be.
Adhering to Nymira’s advice, Ben had no plans to get involved with any of them, even though they were staring daggers at him, and others snickering amongst themselves for some unknown reason as he moved through the gardens and corridors.
Luckily, the one who had blocked him earlier in the day was nowhere in sight, so Ben managed to make it to his room without having to deal with any unnecessary problems.
Pushing the door of his room open, Ben found the twins were yet again absent. He wondered where they always went since they should be attending to him at all times. Not that he wanted that type of service to begin with; he was just curious.
Sighing in exhaustion and wishing they would arrive back in time so he could have a proper shover as they had offered to him before, Ben went forward and collapsed onto his mattress, looking up at his ceiling with a smile on his face.
"I might as well."
Ben murmured as he decided to simply go ahead and raise his realm, seeing the twins weren’t currently there.
This would technically make him as strong as the strongest person in the estate, even though he doesn’t exactly know how to fight, knows any techniques, forms, or how to properly utilize his soon-to-be abundant levels of natural power.
Even without being able to do all that, at least it would make him nearly impossible to kill by all those below the noble knight realm, unless they employ some special means.
A thought then crossed Ben’s mind.....
"What if I purchase a fighting technique from the system shop?... since just like the concealment skill that was assimilated into me...."
"What if it too simply gets perfectly assimilated as well?"
The logic made sense. His realm concealment skill was basically a technique that has been mastered enough to conceal one’s realm from others, passively using his very own natural power.
Following that thought process, any other technique he purchased from the system, would be like him already having gone through the rigors of training and mastering, with the system directly imbuing him with this experience.
Ben decided he would give it a try and find himself some useful fighting techniques so he could more efficiently utilize his growing strength.
He fell into recollection of how immensely powerful Nymira was when practicing her great sword techniques, Ben was in awe.
Though she dropped her realm to the lowest and didn’t even apply any noteworthy form of her technique or utilize her natural power, just the basics of her great sword technique were enough to lead Ben around like a child, unable to even fraze her throughout the spar, with him finally resulting to underhanded means.
It wasn’t just about her swinging a great big sword; it was the manner of execution, the stances, forms, fluidity as all movements led into the next, the grace with which she flowed, strength in her legs, and the power behind her every movement that sometimes made her look like she was effortlessly blurring between places.
As Ben recalled their battle, he realised that even with him being in the master realm and actually being very strong compared to others, if Nymira wanted to kill him right now, it would happen before he even had time to react. He would be dead before he could arrange his thoughts.
It wasn’t only the difference in their realms, which was monumental, even though its just a single realm difference. It was also the level of mastery of her technique, her body, her weapon; all was a work of art.
And since almost all people are bestowed a weapon of specialty in this world, most of them would have certain levels of mastery in techniques and chosen weapons.
Ben needed his as well, or even with his growing strength, he might still fall to someone not nearly as strong.
Though Ben’s purpose was to bed every beauty this world had to offer, ambition without strength to back it up at the end of the day was just unfounded hubris.
There was also the tyrant he would have to face, so laying the foundation right now was the best course of action.
"I need the best technique there is."
Ben murmured, thinking that just as he would be facing threats whose techniques and methods would progressively become more outrageous, he needed something that was at the pinnacle.
He didn’t have to worry about actively meditating to increase his realm like others, which usually took years upon years, especially in the later realms.
The goddess’s gift gave him a method to skip all that and directly reach the peak level of every realm, and just as powerful as this system is, he believed his advancement was as well suited to perfection.
"System... raise my realm to Noble Knight."
