I was Chosen By A Perverted Goddess To Help Save Her World
Chapter 104: Dawn Auction House
"Lutia...is it true?"
"She really has sent that person over here?"
A slender man in simple clothing, with a greying goatee, sat contemplatively, with his right hand stroking his beard, as he asked the lady before him.
"Whether she sent this person or not is still unclear..."
"But he did have a plaque depicting her name. And he’s aleo the one we’ve recently heard about."
Lutia responded as she dropped some parchments on the man’s table.
"This is good.... "
"I hope you treated him with care ?"
"Of course...."
"He’s currently inside one of our special viewing rooms....."
"As for that young man from the Kanes who reserved prior, we can simply compensate for the inconvenience."
"Very good, Lutia....."
"A mahji healer, huh ?..... "
"Give him the best treatment, and at the end of the event, do inform him that I would like an audience."
"Understood."
"You should get prepared, Mr Gordin...."
"You don’t want to be keeping our guests waiting now."
"Alright, alright... I’ll be there soon."
While a conversation that might directly or indirectly affect Ben in the future was going on, Ben himself was contemplating his present predicament.
Ben had planned to simply go out and enjoy the scenery of this new world.
Meet some strong beauties in the process, and conquer as many as he could.
On his short adventure through the city, he had indeed formed some connections with some hot beauties from different backgrounds, having set in place a means for them to get more acquainted more. This much was easy for Ben.
This world doesn’t have phones or a means for direct contact, so locations around the city were the best bet.
Ben certainly couldn’t invite these beauties to the Wolf East for what he had in mind.
However, the quality of the ladies he’d met, though quite high, was still relatively underwhelming for Ben.
He needeed powerful beauties, and even if he was out and about in the city to have fun, visiting some of the places the twins had recommended, Ben still wanted to take advantage of the monthly Dawn auction to browse for special prospects.
That’s why he had gone out of his way to come here. But he wasn’t planning to be singled out like this and be treated as a VIP when he didn’t even have a penny in his name.
Ben was brought out of his thoughts as his room door was pushed open, through it was one of the auction house’s servants, dressed in similar servant garments to those he’s seen at the Wolf estate, carrying a wooden tray with assortments of fruits and a small silver jug of wine.
She greeted, then walked with her head a little bowed to the small round table before Ben, before setting the fruits down. She then poured a cup of wine, inching its contents closer to Ben, then bowing and exiting.
"Sigh!.....they are treating me like a noble, and I have no money. "
Ben murmured as he began to eat the fruits, taking a slow sip from the wine and finding it quite delicious, at least much better than the mass-distributed wine at the Wolf estate.
Ben relaxed into his chair as he sipped, looking lazily below as servants began to set up the stage, hushed whispers and murmurs from the seated guests, which, with a cursory glance, Ben could approximate their numbers to be more than fifty guests, seated with respectful spacing around the auction hall.
It’d been almost an hour since Ben had been in his private booth, and during that time, two others had taken their place in two other private booths.
One was two booths to his right , and the other directly opposite his.
The one directly opposite his was veiled with a purple curtain, and the one two booths sideways to his had a familiar figure in a cloak whom Ben had seen outside previously. .
These people certainly weren’t simple, and Ben’s curiosity was piqued.
Progressively into the afternoon , the other private booths were also filled with guests exhuding great affluence and nobility.
Two others chose to draw down their curtains for privacy, while the other two booths, aside from his and the cloaked figure, had a strikingly beautiful noble label, in a bright purple gown, cooling herself with a fancy fan, and the other contained a burly figure with one or two gold teeth and a scar drawn along his face.
The interesting part was that there was now three others in the noble realm assside from Ben.
’Hmm....so many powerhouses.’
Ben thought inside, deciding to act more cautiously.
Just as he was observing all those present in these private booths, he could feel them too observing him keenly.
But Ben wasn’t concerned much. All they would see when they tried to sense his essence was that there was nothing there.
Since they hadn’t met Ben before, they would probably assume he was simply a human mortal.
However, the fact that he was in such a special booth at all proves that he must be someone of some repute, hence the curiosity in their cursary glances.
The auction servant attending to Ben was already standing to the side after having explained to him how bids are called and presenting his own unique signboard with the large number one on it.
But suddenly, Ben felt a tingle at the back of his neck; his senses instantly picked up on a murderous aura focused on him.
As someone in the noble realm, Ben’s senses were heightened to an incredible degree, and it didn’t take much effort for him to locate where this was coming from.
Casually staring down at a particular seat amidst the crowd of guests, where a fancily dressed young man with short red hair was staring daggers up in his direction.
"The hell is his problem ?"
Ben muttered as he took slow sips of the first decent wine he’d had in this new world before nonchalantly removing his attention from this peculiar person and focusing on the stage where a slender, smiling man with a goatee and dressed like a varlet had now taken center stage.
"Honored guests, and distinguished ladies and gentlemen...."
"Welcome to Dawn Auction House."
