I Was Caught up in a Hero Summoning, but That World Is at Peace

On a clear, sunny afternoon, after finishing brushing Bell, I suddenly thought I’d check out the special space in the backyard and headed over.

The door in my backyard connects to a space created by Canalis-san. Inside, there’s a workshop where Nebula and Illness-san do their crafting, and fields with tea trees and cacao trees.

Although Nebula, Illness-san, and Canalis-san use it most often, I was told I could come and go freely, so I decided to check out the fields to see what they were like.

Incidentally, there’s only one door, and by sliding the plate above the doorknob, you can switch between the workshop, the fields, or other connected spaces.

When I reached the backyard and checked the plate…… Arehh? Have the options increased? There used to be just two, the workshop and the fields, but now there was a third one.

I had planned to look at the fields, but the mysterious third space caught my attention, so I set the plate to it, turned the doorknob, and passed through a thin, membrane-like barrier that obscured the view ahead…… and found myself in a wide, grassy meadow.

[Hello, Canalis-san…… is this a new space?]

Inside, Canalis-san appeared after the space shimmered like noise before my eyes, so I greeted them lightly and asked about this new area.

[Yes, it’s a space I made recently. How should I describe it…… it’s kind of like a ranch.]

[A ranch? You mean you raise cows and stuff?]

[Rather than raising them, it’s more like the place where I do selective breeding. Tahaa~~ I’ve been creating dairy cows for use in Nifty’s dairy products, experimenting to see if I can improve them.]

I see…… Comparing it to Kuro’s baby castella might be a bit rude, but it’s like Kuro’s idea of infinite potential. There’s the possibility of new flavors emerging accidentally in ways the creator didn’t intend. If you start with a “finished product”, you might overlook those accidental delights along the way.

[Also, tastes vary widely. Even if you make something most people find amazing, it isn’t an absolute “correct” taste. Well, you could theoretically imbue it with a property that changes the flavor to match whoever’s tasting it, but even then, it would vary with the person’s mood, so there may be no absolute answer.]

[That’s true. In terms of flavor, there might be tastes most people enjoy, but there isn’t a universal perfect taste. That’s why you keep experimenting.]

[Exactly. Since I’m a God, I can shorten the time needed for selective breeding, which normally takes a long time. That way, I can make various improvements in a short period. Tahaa~~ I apologize for prioritizing efficiency in a modern way!]

After giving Canalis-san, who spoke in their usual expressionless yet brisk tone, a wry smile, I suddenly thought of something and decided to ask.

[……Canalis-san, by the way…… do you happen to have any really good water?]

[Leave it to me! Well then, here’s the God-Approved Mineral Water, trusted and proven. This water…… is incredibly delicious! That’s all it does, no other effects whatsoever! Would you like a cup?]

[Well, it’s just good as water, so don’t expect an emotional, mind-blowing taste or anything like that.]

The water Canalis-san offered was indeed delicious. Well, as Canalis-san said, it was just good water, nothing overwhelmingly amazing or emotionally stirring. It was simply high-quality, easy-to-drink water…… no more, no less.

[Actually, someone I asked a favor of is coming tomorrow. She hardly eats anything and mostly just drinks water, so I thought giving her good water as a thank-you would be nice…… and honestly, your water tastes better than the stuff I bought.]

Talking about water had been by chance, but since the person coming tomorrow had agreed to an urgent favor, it made sense to give something of good quality as thanks. And so, I decided to prepare Canalis-san’s delicious water as a gift.

I hope she’ll be pleased, though I don’t know her very well yet, so there are still many things about her I’m unsure of.
