I Tame Beasts by Feeding
Chapter 505 - 359: Fifth Beast (2)
Chapter 505: Chapter 359: Fifth Beast (2)
"Sigh... Alright, I respect your decision."
After a long silence, the Sui Xian Sword Spirit shook its head helplessly. It looked up at Yu Changsheng, patted his shoulder with undisguised admiration, and said sincerely:
"Such magnanimity, such boundless righteousness! To go this far... it’s truly a rare sight. You have my... admiration."
The Sui Xian Sword Spirit said the word "admiration" with great weight, and only Yu Changsheng understood the meaning behind it.
"Heh." Yu Changsheng gave a bleak laugh and gently shook his head. He clasped his fists, bowed to the Sui Xian Sword Spirit, and said, "What great opportunity could be more important than sentiment? I also thank you, Senior, for your accommodation."
"..."
The Sui Xian Sword Spirit was speechless for a long time. Finally, its gaze fell upon the Purple Child, and it asked coolly:
"If that’s the case, do you have any objections or anything you wish to say?"
By now, the Purple Child was so moved by the whole exchange that all worry was gone. Meeting Yu Changsheng’s expectant gaze, the Purple Child nodded without a second thought and said in a clear, firm voice:
"Thank you, Brother Changsheng. I’m willing to form a Contract with it, for life and death."
A child’s world isn’t simple, but they can feel more clearly who is good to them and who is bad. And obviously, after this series of maneuvers, Yu Changsheng’s status in the Purple Child’s heart had skyrocketed.
"In that case, go ahead and form the Spirit Beast Contract."
the Sui Xian Sword Spirit said with resignation. It really didn’t want to deal with this messy affair anymore. Especially looking into the Purple Child’s innocent eyes—every glance made the guilt and discomfort in its heart grow.
’This is all that bastard Yu Changsheng’s fault!’
the Sui Xian Sword Spirit cursed inwardly. The helplessness it felt was all too real.
"Alright."
Yu Changsheng nodded and took a deep breath. His expression solemn, he looked down at the Purple Child, his gaze sincere as he said earnestly:
"You must think this through. Are you willing to form a Spirit Beast Contract with me? Once it is signed, it cannot be reversed. From then on, our fates will be linked, for life and death. You will also have to follow me and leave Purple Bamboo Mountain."
The Purple Child hesitated for just a moment before nodding gently again, saying in a young, tender voice:
"I am willing. Brother, you were willing to give up the Bloodthirsty Ink Abyss Dragon for me. Why wouldn’t I be willing?"
"Besides, I’ve been on this Purple Bamboo Mountain long enough. I’ve always been stuck here, unable to leave. It would be wonderful if Brother Changsheng could take me to see the outside world."
The Purple Child giggled happily, his tone full of childish innocence and longing. Yet, his words made Yu Changsheng’s expression flicker in shame.
"Er..."
Yu Changsheng’s gaze flickered. He turned his head slightly, avoiding the Purple Child’s eyes, and slowly closed his own. After a long moment, he opened them again, gently touched his index finger to the Purple Child’s forehead, and said:
"Don’t worry. I will definitely show you all the sights in the world and take you to the highest peak. When that day comes, you will absolutely not regret forming this Contract with me today."
Yu Changsheng said earnestly as he slowly activated his Beast Taming Technique. His Divine Soul was stirred, and he cautiously entered the Purple Child’s Sea of Consciousness.
"Mhm. As long as Brother Changsheng doesn’t regret it."
the Purple Child said in a crisp voice. He slowly closed his eyes, submitting to Yu Changsheng, and completely lowered his mental defenses. His soul was drawn in, immersing itself in the Sea of Consciousness.
Within the Sea of Consciousness, golden waves surged. Dazzling golden radiances emerged continuously from Yu Changsheng’s and the Purple Child’s Divine Souls, eventually converging and slowly solidifying into a glittering golden page: a Contract.
This Contract radiated a flowing, golden brilliance, looking noble and sacred. It was a condensation of the Power of Rules, and one could even faintly discern the shadow of the Power of the Celestial Dao within it.
This was the improved Spirit Beast Contract that had been modified after his contract with the Profound Turtle. It was also known as a Celestial Dao Contract, considered one of the most robust types of Spirit Beast Contracts.
"Feel it out. If there are no problems, just leave your Divine Soul Brand on it."
Yu Changsheng suppressed the complex, churning thoughts in his mind and spoke softly.
"Mhm, okay."
The Purple Child nodded in agreement. After only a brief moment of sensing it, he unhesitatingly left his Divine Soul Brand upon it.
BUZZ BUZZ BUZZ...
The Contract Book trembled softly. As the Purple Child’s soul brand was inscribed, half of the page erupted with an even more dazzling golden light, illuminating the Sea of Consciousness.
Yu Changsheng exhaled.
Seeing this, Yu Changsheng no longer hesitated. He solemnly inscribed his own soul brand on the Contract. Instantly, the remaining half of the Contract Book also burst forth with a blinding golden light, shining ceaselessly.
’Thank goodness my Divine Soul is powerful. Otherwise, given the Purple Child’s Realm, I might not have been able to handle this Tier Three Spirit Beast.’
Yu Changsheng celebrated inwardly. If everything went smoothly, this would be his fifth Spirit Beast.
The golden light flashed, perfectly formed. Within this light, a golden Flame danced, gradually engulfing the entire Contract Book.
A profound ripple spread out. As the golden Flame blazed, the Contract Book, without any surprise, transformed into specks of golden brilliance and slowly dissipated.
A majestic and serene voice, like the tolling of a great bell, exploded simultaneously in both their minds.
The voice was ancient and weathered, carrying an air of supreme authority.
"The Contract is made, with no regrets in this life!"
"Should it be broken, both Divine Souls shall be extinguished!"
From the great unknown, a voice of utmost majesty echoed in their minds. Yu Changsheng and the Purple Child both shuddered. As they looked at each other, a sense of intimacy welled up from a connection deep within their blood and souls, shining brilliantly and linking them together.
"The Contract is formed. From now on, we are partners in life and death who will fight side-by-side, advancing and retreating together. Hehe."
Yu Changsheng chuckled, gently tapping the space between the Purple Child’s eyebrows. Deep in his eyes, a flicker of guilt vanished as quickly as it appeared.
"Mhm, mhm."
The Purple Child nodded lightly, looking rather elated. He danced with joy, his childlike nature on full display.
"And so, only the final step remains—to deepen your bond, to make you of the same origin, inseparable."
the Sui Xian Sword Spirit spoke coolly. With a flick of its finger, Spiritual Light flared, and the unsharpened Jade Sword appeared, floating in the void.
"I will forge you into this sword of Yu Changsheng’s, making you its Sword Spirit, a single, integrated whole. For you, this will also create greater room for future growth. You will naturally comprehend the Sword Dao and become a peerless genius in it. Do you have any objections?"
After the Sui Xian Sword Spirit finished speaking, Yu Changsheng also turned to look at the Purple Child, nodding gently with a hint of expectation in his eyes.
"Okay."
The Purple Child didn’t hesitate, nodding his agreement. For him, who had mutated and come into being partly due to the influence of Sword Intent, there was an innate and irresistible affinity for all things related to the Sword Dao.
And this was even more true for the Jade Sword’s absorption of him.
The Sui Xian Sword Spirit shook its head, speechless. "Give me your true form."
The Purple Child hesitated for a moment, then waved his small hand. The translucent Purple Bamboo appeared, shimmering with a soft purple light. He handed it to the Sui Xian Sword Spirit.
The Sui Xian Sword Spirit’s expression remained unchanged as it took the Purple Bamboo. Its hands moved in a continuous blur of gestures. A flicker of crimson Flame danced out, transforming into a lotus of fire that slowly enveloped both the Purple Bamboo and the Jade Sword.
The Flame blazed. Gradually, the Purple Bamboo began to show signs of melting, eventually turning into a mass of purple liquid. Then, with a point of the Sui Xian Sword Spirit’s finger, the purple liquid seemed to come alive. It flowed onto the Jade Sword, adhering to its surface and forming purple patterns that wrapped around the blade from top to bottom.
The Jade Sword, already radiant with Spiritual Light, now began to emit a faint purple fluorescence, adding a touch of mystery. Its overall Grade began to climb at a rapid pace.
The Purple Child’s eyes widened as he watched this scene with curiosity. His expression was normal, showing no signs of discomfort.
Although the Purple Child had been born from the Purple Bamboo and was dependent on it, he had long since become an independent Spirit Body. The Sui Xian Sword Spirit’s actions were akin to burning down his house; it wouldn’t cause him any actual harm.
