For long minutes they moved like that, her mouth working him with growing hunger, his fingers thrusting in steady rhythm, thumb circling the sensitive bud above. The wet sounds of their pleasure filled the quiet room. Lilith's hips rolled against his hand; Atheline's breath grew ragged.

Then he sat up, strong hands catching her hips. Without withdrawing from her mouth he turned her, lifting and guiding until she straddled his face.

Her startled gasp turned into a broken moan as his tongue replaced his fingers, licking into her with the same focused intensity she gave him.

The sixty-nine locked them together, her mouth sliding wet and eager along his cock, his tongue and lips devouring her from below.

Every time she took him deeper he rewarded her with a harder stroke of his tongue; every time his fingers joined his mouth she hummed around him, the vibration racing straight to his spine.

They came almost together. Lilith's thighs trembled around his head as pleasure crashed through her, her cry muffled against his length. The taste of her and the feel of her shaking pushed Atheline over the edge a moment later. He spilled into her mouth with a low, rough groan, hips lifting, and she swallowed every pulse, lingering until the last tremor left him.

Only then did she release him and crawl up his body, breathless and flushed. Atheline pulled her into a deep, slow kiss that tasted of both of them. He rolled them once more so she lay beneath him, thighs parting around his hips.

He entered her in one long, smooth thrust, still hard, still needing her. Lilith's arms locked around his shoulders; her legs wrapped his waist.

They moved together without hurry, deep and deliberate, foreheads touching, eyes open. Every roll of his hips drew a soft sound from her; every time she clenched around him he whispered her name against her lips.

When the second climax took them it was quieter, deeper, bodies locked, breath shared, the last waves of pleasure rolling through them in tandem.

Atheline stayed inside her afterward, weight braced on his forearms so he wouldn't crush her, face buried in the curve of her neck. Lilith's fingers traced idle patterns along his back until their heartbeats slowed.

Eventually he eased to the side, drawing her with him so she rested against his chest exactly as she would later that night. Moonlight spilled through the curtains.

Her hair spread across the pillow; one of his hands moved lazily through it while the other rested around her waist.

They spent most of the evening talking about the kingdom, about the surviving Sovereigns and about the possibility of visiting the fairy sanctuary again without having to fight something ancient and terrifying.

Atheline had also suggested traveling to the Beastmen Continent, which earned him a suspicious look from Lilith.

"You want to go hunting."

"Exploring."

"Hunting."

"Exploring with the possibility of hunting."

She'd laughed and told him they would discuss it later.

Now, as the night grew quieter, Atheline suddenly looked thoughtful.

"Lilith."

"Hmm?"

"Do you want a child?"

Her fingers stopped moving against his chest. For several seconds, she didn't answer, then she slowly lifted her head.

"What?"

"A child."

"I heard you."

"Then why are you looking at me like that?"

Lilith continued staring at him.

"Where did that come from?"

Atheline smiled.

"Well, I've been thinking."

"That's usually dangerous."

"About our future."

Her expression softened slightly.

Atheline continued.

"We've spent so much time fighting, surviving and dealing with the kingdom that we haven't really had the opportunity to think about what comes afterward."

He looked toward the ceiling.

"And now we have time. A ridiculous amount of time, actually."

Lilith watched him quietly.

Atheline glanced at her.

"Wouldn't it be nice?"

"A child?"

"Our child."

Something changed in her expression.

Atheline smiled.

"Someone with your eyes, perhaps. Although I'd prefer they inherit my personality."

Lilith immediately frowned.

"Absolutely not."

"Why?"

"One of you is already exhausting."

"That's cruel."

"It's true."

Atheline laughed.

Then his expression became suspiciously thoughtful.

"Besides, if we have a child, eventually they could inherit the throne."

Her eyes widened.

He continued with increasing enthusiasm.

"We raise them properly, teach them everything they need to know, make sure they're responsible, and once they're old enough, we hand over the kingdom."

Lilith slowly narrowed her eyes.

"Atheline."

"And then we can travel."

"Atheline."

"No council meetings. No paperwork. Just you and me exploring the world, visiting ancient ruins, perhaps discovering other realms..."

"Atheline."

He stopped.

Lilith stared at him.

"Are you suggesting we have a child because you want someone else to do your paperwork?"

Atheline became silent, then smiled.

"Not entirely."

Lilith grabbed a pillow.

Atheline laughed as it struck his face.

"You unbelievable bastard!"

"Think about it! It's a perfectly reasonable long-term plan!" He said between laughter.

"Our child wouldn't even be born yet!" She said, equally amused.

"Which gives us plenty of time to prepare!"

She hit him again.

Atheline caught the pillow, still laughing, and pulled her toward him.

Lilith struggled halfheartedly before finally settling against his chest again.

"You're impossible."

"So you've told me."

"And irresponsible."

"Occasionally."

"And the worst king this kingdom has ever had."

"That's objectively false."

Lilith lifted her head.

Atheline smiled at her, then his expression became gentler.

"But I do want a child with you."

Her teasing expression slowly disappeared.

"Not just because of the throne?"

He chuckled.

"No. The throne is a convenient bonus."

"Atheline."

"I'm serious." He brushed a strand of hair away from her face. "I want a family with you, Lilith. Not because destiny demands it, or because the kingdom needs an heir, or because we're supposed to continue some ancient bloodline."

He paused.

"Just because I want to see what our future looks like."

Lilith stared at him, then she smiled. A small, genuine smile that Atheline knew better than anyone.

"I'd like that."

Atheline's eyes brightened.

"Really?"

"Yes."

He leaned forward and kissed her. Lilith returned it, wrapping her arms around his neck as the last of their laughter faded into the quiet room.

When they finally separated, she rested her forehead against his.

"But there's one condition."

Atheline sighed.

"Of course there is."

"If we have a child, you're not allowed to start training them to take over the kingdom before they can walk."

Atheline considered it.

Lilith narrowed her eyes.

"Atheline."

"Fine."

"And no giving them administrative documents as birthday presents."

"You're destroying all my plans."

"Good."

He laughed and kissed her again.

Outside, the moon hung peacefully above the Dark Elven capital.

The world that had once been trapped beneath the shadow of the Cataclysm was finally free, and the man who had crossed worlds, died more than once, defied destiny and ascended to godhood had discovered that his greatest happiness had never been waiting at the end of some ancient inheritance.

It was here in an ordinary bed beside the woman he loved. With a future that no longer needed to be written by anyone else.

And as Lilith pulled him closer beneath the blankets, Atheline decided that perhaps the paperwork could wait until morning.

For once, even the King of the Dark Elves deserved a night off.

The End.
