Chapter 236: Evil Second-year Student

“Tap.” “Tap.” “Tap.”

The sound of soft footsteps hitting the ground echoed through the silent environment. But with every foot step that rang, the tension in the atmosphere seem to thicken by a fold.

MVLeMpYr-only

The footstep paused and the fog of nuclear energy in the distance was softly cleared by the gentle wind, fainlty revealing the figure of the intruder.

It was a young man much older than the four first-year students fighting over the body of the beast. Tyrion along with Reitha, Seira and Dion felt an uncomfortable feeling in their chest but as their eyes glanced towards the chest of the intruder, their expressions changed, turning extremely solemn as they stared coldly at the new comer.

Two flaming fist! It was actually a student from Lion heart academy. A second-year student at that!

‘What the hell is a second year student doing here!?’ The four first-year students thought almost at the same time.

* * *

Now, let’s back it up from the very beginning.

This city had been overrun by dimensional beasts as a dimension descended upon this location.

Now, the military would naturally deploy their genetic soldiers to battle the dimensional beasts. But why would they? when they could use the demonic academy students to their advantage?

In exchange for turning a blind eye to some matters such as rape, mass murder, torture and other sadistic crimes to increase their strength, the military gets the rights to using their students freely during any emergency dimensional descent.

Usually, the regular students would be sent as cannon fodders to battle with the beast wave then more talented individuals such as Fiendgods candidates would be given special missions to head towards a specific location to battle the boss momsters within that area.

This is because dimensional zones have limit, restricting the power level of those who could enter.

For example, those above Demon Warrior level would can’t enter this dimension and even if they try to force their way in, the entire dimensional zone would collapse, resulting into either the evolution of the dimensional zone or the explosion.

Hence, they didn’t dare to risk it.

Which was why Fiendgods candidates were tasked with battling the more stronger beasts.

Now, Fiendgods are divided into 4 categories. Normal, Elites, Super and the most rare kind of Fiendgod, Sacred Fiendgods. Although there was another which is higher than the four, no one within blur Swirl continent had ever seen those before.

Now, mission given to Normal , Elites Super Fiendgods are far different from each other. Naturally, the Military didn’t care if these people died or not but if they were successful, they could earn blood points and exchange them for various rare prices from the army.

Now, second year students are surely given other missions as compared to first year Fiendgod candidates.

The missions of first-year, second-year and third-year students were widely different and far off. They were given a particular zone where they mustn’t cross. Take the center of the city for example. It was where the most danger within the city.

The 700 mile radius is of course is allocated to the third-year students.

While the outer edges of the city center is allocated to the second-year students to handle. First-year students were made to handle to edges of the city where there isn’t much danger. Of course they could die if they are one but careless, but it was better than been near the center of the city.

Right now, the four students were still within their Zone, about a few thousand miles away from the supposed second-year zone. The third-year student who had killed the beast was most likely there to clear the monster since it’s level was way higher than the supposed level.

But the appearance of a second-year student doesn’t spell anything good. He’s most likely also interested in the body of the monster. The organs of beast with a supergene had been enriched by massive amount of nuclear energy, evolving them to Mutagenic Organs.

This organs can be sold for alrge amounts and are used for various purpose. The most common purpose is by mixing them with herbs and other ingredients to create different types of serum that are used to either increase one’s strength, energy capacity or even talent!

If one could find at least three Mutagenic organ within the body of the dead Deviant, one could purchase Evolution serums and relax for three months instead of practicing daily.

“That was disappointing. I was really expecting to see a show.” The soft voice of a young man apparently filled with dissatisfaction echoed.

The fog of energy suddenly swirled as they were absorbed by the second year student through his pores. The pupils of the four first-year students constricted witnessing such fine controls energy.

As the fog cleared, the appearance of the second-year student was finally revealed.

The young man’s purple hair floated in the air as though the gravity around his was non existence. His eyebrows were relaxed but his crimson eyes shone brightly. But instead of his eyes to absorb light, it looked as though his eyes reflected the surrounding light instead, making it glow slightly.

An evil smirk settled upon his face, and he didn’t bother hiding his killing intent the moment he arrived.

The situation had turned extremely grave as the four first-year students were now filled with caution, but none of them spoke first.

Tyrion’s eyebrows twitched as be sensed dangers rippling off the bodybif the new comer. He knew fighting over the corpse was a lost cause and since he had given up already, he naturally would stick to his decision.

Tyrion gaze lingerie for a moment before he turned around and took a step forwards.

“I don’t think I gave you the permission to leave.”

Tyrion’s eyes squinted as he stopped dead in his tracks. As though he didn’t dare move a single step. Wasn’t this guy purposely making things difficult for him? Or for what reason would he want him to stay?

“Since you are here, we naturally wouldn’t fight you over the corpse. I see no reason why you would keep me here.” Tyrion opened his mouth and spoke.

The young man’s smile widened, his eyes glaring a sinister light as he spoke. “Do you think I am that shamless? I’m not so unreasonable as to steal things from my juniors. How about this, the three of you attack me together, if one of your attack touches me, the corpse of the monster is yours.”

“Are you telling the truth senior?” Seira’s blinked her eyes cutely as she asked.

“Of course!”

Reitha didn’t seem to buy his words. Her frown deepened, she stared at Dion and Tyrion from the corner of her eyes and saw that they also didn’t seem to buy the words of the third-year student.

From the murderous waves rippling through his body, they knew this young man is extremely blood thirsty and definitely wouldn’t let go of the opportunity to kill them if he could.

While they were confident he couldn’t kill all of them, they were most afraid of his Super gene and Fiendgod ability , just like the Atomic Breath. In what form the ability was, their bodies aren’t strong enough to withstand a single attack and would be killed the instant they came into contact with it

“Although we are Fiendgods, non of us are above Elite Fiendgods therefore absorbing our blood wouldn’t improve your gene by much.” Dion suddenly spoke, shedding all form of pretenses and went straight to the pain point.

The senior paused for a moment and gave Dion a sidelong glance then, he let out a heartened laughter that sent chills through the spines of the four students.

“Hmm, deserving to be called Elites. You know about the Blood Devour curse the Fiendgods. But do you think lying to me will work?”

He walked towards a rubble, bent down and picked up handfull of sand, pouring it softly to the ground as he continued. “I spent most of my wealth buying this device.”

“One of you surely is a Super Fiendgod. You can hide your energy from me, but the blood-seeking decvice is never wrong.”

The second-year student then stood up in his feet. Waves of energy rippled from his palm as he cleared off the dust from the sand stain on his hand.

“We are from the various academies, however, we each know our strength and weaknesses as we are quite popular.” Dion paused and his gaze hardened as he pointed at Tyrion.

“The one you’re looking for is him. We have no idea who he is and yet he was able to deflect our attacks easily as a first year.”

Tyrion’s face darkened. Dion had just offered him like sacrifice to the second-year student without hesitation.

Not many people within the academy knew this, but if one manages to absorb the blood of other Fiendgods, they could increase their Fiendgod talent and strength the to a certain state, one could increase his strength by killing and devouring the blood of others who is stronger than theirs.

Of course the academy wouldn’t make such a thing anyway public and have set up numerous countermeasures just incase the information gets leaked out.

It was unknown how Dion managed to got a hold of such important information which was why the second year student was slightly surprised.

“There’s no need to push the blame amongst yourselves, it useless doing that. Once I kill the three four of you, I will naturally find out who is the Super Fiendgod at the same time.”

Seeing his brilliant smile, the expression of the four first year students changed and their bodies instantly tensed up. Although there were three elite and a trooper in their team, the most they could do was defend until they have a chance to escape.
