I Punch the Tailed Beast Ball
Chapter 595: The Otsutsuki’s Actions
After completely eliminating Black Zetsu, Nagasawa turned his gaze toward the gradually fading Six Paths Sage and quickly said, "Wait a moment. I have one more thing."
According to Kaguya’s information, the Otsutsuki clan could not be said to be invincible in the starry sky, but they were not a force that the current ninja world could even hope to contend with.
Although the Otsutsuki clan was unlikely to regard the indigenous people of the ninja world, who had not even left their planet, as opponents, Nagasawa, who had a fear of insufficient firepower, still wanted to unite every force that could be united to deal with the possible crisis that might come.
He was even thinking of joining forces with Kaguya as an ally, so naturally he did not want to let go of the Six Paths Sage, who possessed Six Paths-level combat power.
Moreover, compared to Kaguya, who might slack off and run away, the Six Paths Sage was undoubtedly much more reliable.
One had to know that in order to protect the ninja world, the Six Paths Sage had personally sealed even his own mother, Kaguya, and had secretly protected the ninja world in a soul state for more than a thousand years. There was no doubt about the Six Paths Sage’s love for the ninja world.
The Six Paths Sage’s gradually disappearing figure became solid again. He looked at Nagasawa with some confusion, wondering what this incredibly powerful junior still wanted.
"I have a Secret Technique here that allows the soul to cultivate as well and become stronger. Would you be interested in cultivating it?" Nagasawa smiled as he looked at the Six Paths Sage.
The Six Paths Sage froze for a moment, recalling the terrifying soul pressure that had erupted from Nagasawa at a certain moment just now.
Because he was currently in a pure soul state, the Six Paths Sage felt it more deeply than the others. That terrifying soul power was such that even the so-called Death God from the Reaper Death Seal could only tremble and shiver in front of Nagasawa.
"Looks like you don’t want this old man to retire and enjoy his old age." The Six Paths Sage shook his head and smiled, understanding Nagasawa’s meaning.
Because of various special circumstances, he was now unable to exert his strength in direct combat. If he cultivated Nagasawa’s Secret Technique, that might no longer be the case.
"Even your mother is preparing to shine in Konohagakure and contribute to the construction of the ninja world. How can you retire?" Nagasawa teased.
The Six Paths Sage discovered that he actually could not refute this. It seemed to indeed be the case.
Even his unreasonable mother had joined the ranks protecting the ninja world. How could he, the founder of the ninja world, the Six Paths Sage, stand aside?
However, the Six Paths Sage had not originally intended to refuse. Fighting for the protection of the ninja world until death had always been what he was doing.
The Six Paths Sage finally nodded in agreement.
Kaguya had already been successfully revived, and the information had also been obtained, so Nagasawa sent the Jinchuriki of the various villages back, except for the One-Tail from Sunagakure.
Because Gaara was still in Konohagakure as an exchange student, there was naturally no need to send the One-Tail to Sunagakure.
After finishing these things, Nagasawa began teaching the Six Paths Sage the Shinigami system.
At first, the Six Paths Sage really thought it was some Secret Technique related to the soul. He did not expect that what Nagasawa brought out was actually an entire system related to the soul, a system he had never heard of or seen before.
The intelligent Six Paths Sage, combined with Nagasawa’s absurdly powerful strength, quickly thought of a certain possibility. However, he neither asked nor said anything, instead seriously learning what Nagasawa taught him.
Because no matter what, as long as Nagasawa’s position was on the side of the ninja world, nothing else was important.
Since the Six Paths Sage had already been in a soul state for a long time, he had some of his own research into souls. Combined with the fact that the Six Paths Sage was already a top expert in the ninja system, he learned very quickly, making things easy for Nagasawa as well.
Suddenly thinking of something, Nagasawa curiously asked a question.
"Since you’ve been secretly observing the ninja world all this time, how come you never discovered Black Zetsu?"
Although in a certain sense Black Zetsu and the Six Paths Sage could be considered brothers, the two had irreconcilable conflicts.
Black Zetsu’s goal was to revive Kaguya, while the Six Paths Sage could not possibly allow Kaguya to be released for the safety of the ninja world.
Nagasawa had reason to believe that if the Six Paths Sage knew he had a younger brother he had never met who had been constantly working to revive their mother, he would definitely continue to put righteousness before family and kill his own brother.
The Six Paths Sage shook his head and said, "I didn’t know of his existence when I was alive, and after I died, I could do even less than you imagine."
On the surface, it seemed that he had appeared as soon as Kaguya was revived, as though nothing in the ninja world could escape his notice.
But the Six Paths Sage knew his own situation. His powerful body had already disappeared over the passage of time, leaving only Chakra behind.
And interfering with reality consumed a tremendous amount of power. Therefore, even after the Six Paths Sage later learned that the ninja world was constantly plagued by wars and that shinobi were fighting among themselves, he was powerless to do more.
He had to preserve his remaining strength to prevent Kaguya from being revived.
The wars between the various countries of the ninja world were certainly cruel, but Kaguya’s revival was the true catastrophe that would affect the survival of the ninja world.
"Black Zetsu possesses my mother’s power. In my current state, discovering Black Zetsu isn’t an easy matter, especially since he was so cautious."
Listening to the Six Paths Sage’s explanation, Nagasawa nodded, considering the doubt in his heart resolved.
"What was the situation with Asura and Indra? What kind of relationship did they have with Hashirama and Madara, as well as Naruto and Sasuke?" Nagasawa asked again.
The Six Paths Sage was silent for a while before sighing and saying, "Chakra reincarnation does not mean that a person loses all their memories and starts over. Rather, a person’s Chakra enters another person’s body, while the two souls remain independent and different."
Nagasawa understood what the Six Paths Sage meant. This thing called Chakra reincarnation sounded mysterious, but it was actually equivalent to Chakra possessing another person.
This differed somewhat from what Nagasawa had previously thought. Nagasawa had assumed that although Chakra reincarnation did not mean they were the same person, they were at least similar leaves from the same tree.
According to the Six Paths Sage, they could not even be considered similar leaves.
The difference between the two was roughly that Nagasawa had previously thought that Asura’s Chakra had to exist first before Hashirama and Naruto could exist, but in reality, Hashirama and Naruto existed first.
Even without something like Asura’s Chakra, Hashirama and Naruto would still exist. It was just that their bodies would not contain Asura’s Chakra.
...
"Strange, a group that hasn’t sent back any information for more than a thousand years has one member who has completely lost all signs of life. What’s strange is that his Guardian is still alive and well."
In a room filled with a sci-fi atmosphere, an Otsutsuki frowned as he looked at the light screen in front of him.
"No information for more than a thousand years? The mission should have failed."
Another Otsutsuki beside him said indifferently.
In the boundless starry sky, anything could happen. Therefore, even for the Otsutsuki, mission failure was nothing unusual.
"Mission failure is certain, but whether it was because the external force was too powerful or because the Guardian betrayed us is uncertain." The frowning Otsutsuki said.
The Protected One was already completely dead, and not even a Kāma remained, yet the Guardian was still alive and well. This was far too unreasonable.
Under the Otsutsuki’s rules, the Guardian had to die before the Protected One. Therefore, in the eyes of the two Otsutsuki, Kaguya had most likely betrayed them.
"Wasn’t there a group recently that wanted to be evaluated as an elite group? Use this as their assessment mission."
"The Protected Ones of that group are already Advanced Gods, aren’t they? Isn’t that a bit excessive? The mission is too simple."
"Since they’ve already become Advanced Gods, becoming an elite group is only a matter of time. Traitors must die!"
