Chapter 1043 - 1041: Strong Sword Sect
Chapter 1043: Chapter 1041: Strong Sword Sect
“Thank you for the reminder, Uncle Master. I will go and collect relevant information on advancing to the Nascent Soul Realm.”
Lu Xuan nodded gently.
“It’s just that I have recently reached the Golden Core Completion, and there is still a long way before I try to advance to the Nascent Soul Realm, so there is no need to rush.”
“The Sword Talismans and Spirit Brews will continue to be supplied steadily to Sword Peak and will not be delayed because of this.”
“Disciple Lu’s thoughtfulness is appreciated, just make sure to keep it within measure.”
Yuan Rong sighed with relief, pleased that Lu Xuan was thoughtful about Huanzhen Sword Peak.
After finalizing the Sword Mark, she took the Sword Talisman and Spirit Brew and left.
Lu Xuan’s inadvertent exposure of his cultivation level soon became known to the people of Sword Peak, who continuously came to congratulate him.
You see, the difference between Golden Core and Nascent Soul is enormous. If Lu Xuan successfully advances to the Nascent Soul Realm, with his mastery in Spirit Plants and Spirit Brews, he would indeed be like a tiger with wings, easily becoming one of the high-ranking members of the Sword Sect.
Inside the Cave Abode.
Ge Pu and Fire Scale Child sat in the courtyard, overlooking the sea of Sword Qi clouds below.
“Junior Brother Lu, your pace of cultivation is truly a bit too fast.”
Fire Scale Child set down the white jade wine cup in his hand and exclaimed.
“Indeed, when we first met at the Sky Sword Sect, you addressed me as Uncle Master while solving the breeding issue of the Yin Yang Koi Fish. I never thought that not only would your cultivation level surpass mine, but also that in ten or several decades, I might have to address you as Uncle Master.”
Ge Pu also felt nostalgic.
“Thank you for the compliment, Senior Brothers. I’m just lucky, plus I haven’t had to be distracted by other matters.”
“Like Brother Ge and Elder Brother Huo, other than cultivating, you have to spend a lot of time on various divine skills and secret techniques, often going out to explore secret lands, fighting life and death battles with demon beasts and Demon Envoys, tempering your battle experience and seeking fortuitous treasures.”
“As for me, since I have already decided to enjoy the protection of the Sword Sect and stay here until my end, I don’t need to spend extra effort on those things.”
Lu Xuan spoke slowly.
Now that his cultivation level couldn’t remain hidden, he could only establish himself as a Spirit Plant Master who is not adept at fighting.
Whether it be divine skills or high-rank treasure items, he wouldn’t readily reveal them, especially not in front of his fellow disciples of the Sword Sect.
“Having such thoughts is excellent.”
“To break through to the Nascent Soul Realm would grant you a lifespan of over a thousand years. Even if you can’t defeat cultivators of the same level, relying on your own spiritual power to deal with those whose cultivation levels are lower is not a problem at all.”
Ge Pu nodded in agreement.
“Furthermore, choosing to stay in the Sword Sect might be an even better choice.”
“So many Primordial Infant True Monarchs have fallen while pursuing the Great Dao. There are countless who have died under other cultivators, demon beasts, and powerful prohibitions.”
“Very few manage to live until their natural death. Disciple Lu, your choice is absolutely correct.”
Fire Scale Child agreed with a nod.
“Ha ha, don’t think too far ahead. What you two Senior Brothers are saying makes it sound as if breaking through to the Nascent Soul Realm is as easy as drinking water.”
Lu Xuan laughed heartily.
“Anyway, I have a feeling that Junior Brother Lu will definitely advance to the Nascent Soul.”
Ge Pu said solemnly.
He had indeed witnessed too many miracles created by the junior brother in front of him.
With his unparalleled mastery in Spirit Plants, growing from an outer sect disciple of the Sky Sword Sect to his current realm, his progress was extremely rare in the entire Cultivation World.
“You really don’t have to worry about this.”
“Not to mention anything else, the True Sword Master of Huanzhen, by sheer perseverance, will push Junior Disciple you to the Nascent Soul Realm.”
“You know, Junior Disciple’s progress is crucial for the ranking in successive Sword Peak contests.”
Fire Scale Child spoke with some envy about Lu Xuan’s position in Huanzhen Sword Peak.
“In the case of Disciple Lu, these considerations are not debatable; we should strive for self-improvement too.”
Ge Pu said kindly.
“There’s some truth in that, Junior Brother. Although you’ve completed the Golden Core, you’re just a step away from the Nascent Soul Realm, but the two of us are not far behind.”
“Who ends up calling whom ‘uncle’ is not yet certain!”
Fire Scale Child threw down the gauntlet.
Looking up, he saw Ge Pu’s meaningful black and white eyes and immediately lost his momentum.
Among the three, he was the last to achieve the Golden Core and, having done so less than ten years ago, he indeed lacked the confidence to make such a statement.
Beside them, Lu Xuan laughed without comment.
“I’ve had some insights recently and might enter seclusion to try and break through to the late stage of Golden Core,” Ge Pu said with a solemn expression.
“I’ve heard there’s an unknown Cave Heaven that appeared deep in the Void. The sect plans to take it under its wing, and I’m thinking of joining the uncles, as well as the brothers, in taking it over,” revealed Fire Scale Child about his recent plans.
“An unknown Cave Heaven? What’s the story there?” Lu Xuan asked curiously.
“It’s said that cultivators from a nearby realm accidentally discovered it while exploring; it seems to be an ancient battlefield full of remnants with high exploratory value. The sect has decided to claim it for itself.”
“The Purple Cloud Sword Master will lead the charge, and many Nascent Soul cultivators from the nine great Sword Peaks are currently being gathered and organized from the disciples at the Core Formation and Foundation Establishment stages,” Fire Scale Child said softly.
“What do the sects near this Cave Heaven think? Logically, as they first discovered this unknown Cave Heaven and expended a lot of manpower and resources inside, they have plenty of reasons to prevent other forces from entering,” Lu Xuan said, as he freshly brewed another full cup of Green Condensation Dew for the two of them.
“Pff, what reasons could they possibly have? Just because they discovered that unknown Cave Heaven? Blame their incompetence,” snorted Fire Scale Child.
“Monsters and vicious spirits are rife inside the Cave Heaven, releasing them could cause irreversible damage to the entire Cultivation World.”
“If they’ve had so much time and still can’t handle it, then it’s up to the Dongxuan Sword Sect to step in and quell the turmoil,” Fire Scale Child said righteously.
“That’s right, we must uphold the name of our Sword Sect justice,” Lu Xuan laughed in agreement, the assertive actions of the Dongxuan Sword Sect not only failing to bother him but instead giving him a great sense of security.
“That unknown Cave Heaven is only a bit closer to those few sects, but they don’t hold the jurisdiction over that part of the Void.”
“Our Sword Sect is such a colossal entity, slight expansions of our sect’s territory are well within reason,” Ge Pu said casually.
“Haha, Brother Ge makes a good point.”
“The truth lies within the range of a Flying Sword, the Sword Sect is merely claiming back the Cave Heaven that belongs to us.”
“Together, cheers!”
The three raised their cups in unison.
“Junior Brother Lu, are you interested in exploring that unknown Cave Heaven together?”
“With the Purple Cloud Sword Master stationed there, and many Primordial Infant True Monarchs around, safety shouldn’t be an issue.”
“Most importantly, less than a tenth of the Cave Heaven has been explored; there’s definitely a lot of rare treasures inside, and if you’re lucky enough to find one, it would no doubt greatly enhance your strength,” Fire Scale Child asked curiously.
“I am considering it, but I currently have a lot of responsibilities from Sword Peak that I can’t neglect,” Lu Xuan smiled helplessly, politely declining with an excuse.
“I’ll wait within the Sword Sect for some good news from Elder Brother Huo and the other fellow disciples.”
“Once that unknown Cave Heaven is completely under our control, if there’s time, Lu Mou will go there to broaden his horizons.”
