I Might Be A Fake Cultivator

Chapter 1817 - Where Did These Immortals Come From

Chapter 1817: Where Did These Immortals Come From

Chen Feibai rushed over to them while smoothing down his hair and clearing his throat as he thought about what he was going to say next.

However, what was surprising to him was that even though the two of them really did stop upon hearing his call, they did not turn around to look at him. Instead, they turned their attention toward the summit of the Corkscrew Heavenly Street.

Chen Feibai was quite confused and was just about to say something.

Boom!

A deafening explosion suddenly erupted up above.

All of the people on the streets were given a massive fright.

Immediately afterward, flames began to burn overhead.

Everyone finally came to their senses and screamed as they fled the scene.

“Run!”

“There was an explosion! We have to hide!”

“Don’t hide! Get down! This is a terrorist attack, and the Corkscrew Heavenly Street is going to collapse!”

“What do you mean by a terrorist attack? Which terrorist organization would dare to attack the Corkscrew Heavenly Street? Those Heavenly Human Tribe b*stards are definitely responsible for this! Rong City is no longer safe!”

Panic had begun to set in, and everyone fled for their lives.

The streets instantly descended into turmoil.

Chen Feibai looked up at the thick smoke and blazing fire rising from the summit of the Corkscrew Heavenly Street, and he finally came to his senses as he sought to run away.

“What are you two doing? Hurry up and run!” He discovered that the two people behind him were still standing on the same spot.

The man turned around with a friendly smile. “You do that. We’ll go up there and see what’s going on.”

Chen Feibai’s eyes widened. “Are you two insane?”

His voice had only just fallen when pure white wings of fire erupted from Xu Xiaolan’s back, and he was completely entranced by the sight of her spreading her wings as feathers of flames danced through the air.

She rose up and flew into the sky.

A gentle breeze blew past, and An Lin sprang up, rising several dozen meters with each and every step before transforming into a tiny black dot in the blink of an eye.

Chen Feibai’s mouth gaped open upon seeing this. He could finally understand why these two were not interested in becoming stars. They were immortals…

At the summit of the Corkscrew Heavenly Street.

This was where the most renowned museum in the southwestern region was situated.

At this moment, there were roaring flames and thick smoke rising from the museum.

The sound of a blaring alarm reverberated through the air.

“Enemy invasion!”

“Detected extremely powerful energy fluctuations of the most dangerous level…”

The most powerful emergency measures within the museum were triggered as five armored robots wielding extremely powerful tasers were deployed before running toward the source of the energy fluctuations.

Whoosh!

A bolt of white lightning suddenly streaked through the air before slicing one of the robots in half.

A young man with golden hair wearing a black jacket chuckled coldly as he rushed past the robot. His entire body was enshrouded in white lightning, and he slapped the robot’s head flying for fun.

“These toys are no match for me, the great Charles!”

A confident expression appeared on his face as crimson veined patterns spread throughout his body, upon which the white lightning enshrouding his body became even more powerful. He swept a hand through the air, and four bolts of lightning shot forth at the same time, striking the heads of the four robots with unerring accuracy and detonating them.

He held a skull with a black hole at its center, and a pleased smile appeared on his face. “Who would have thought that the final Fallen God Crystal Skull would be in a museum in Rong City? Each Fallen God Crystal Skull contains secrets about life… It won’t be too long until my title as the Flash Demon is known throughout the entire Genetic Alliance!”

Charles strode through the flames with blood and charred corpses all around him.

He looked at all of the bodies on the ground with a faint smile on his face. “The alarm has already been raised, and the Rong City police will get here in about a minute, but it will take at least ten minutes for the Hua Nation cultivators to get here. I’ll be long gone by then…

“Hehe, I did not receive my title of Flash Demon by accident. There is no one in this world that can match my speed, and no one can deliver judgment on me.”

The man made his way out of the museum.

“Waah…” A child was bawling with sobs in a corner.

The child’s mother instantly clamped a hand over the child’s mouth and urged her not to cry.

However, the sound of her sobs still managed to escape.

“Oh? There are still survivors who haven’t run away?”

Charles’ footsteps faltered as he turned toward the mother and daughter in the corner.

An expression of despair appeared on the woman’s face as she trembled. “I beg of you, please don’t kill us. I won’t tell anyone about what happened here, please…”

“Your daughter sure is adorable…” A warm smile appeared on Charles’ face.

Hope was ignited in the woman’s heart upon seeing this.

“It would be a pity if your adorable daughter is not fried by lightning.”

A sadistic light flashed in Charles’ eyes.

“No!” The woman was in complete despair upon hearing this.

At this moment, a bolt of white lightning tore through space and crashed down upon the mother and daughter!

Boom!

A deafening explosion erupted as a woman appeared before the mother and daughter and swatted the bolt of lightning into oblivion with a nonchalant slap.

“Who’s there?” Charles’ expression shifted.

How had this woman come here without him noticing?

Run!

He did not know how powerful this woman was, and as such, he chose to escape without any hesitation.

Charles unleashed his most powerful fleeing mystic technique from the get-go as the white lightning around his body intensified to further elevate his speed.

In his current state, he could cover a distance of over a kilometers per second. Even a Soul Formation Stage powerful being would find it very difficult to chase him down!

Whoosh…

He had only just made his way out of the museum when a hand reached for him.

Charles wanted to evade but was completely unable to. The hand before him was like heaven and earth, and it was completely inescapable.

His expression shifted to one of horror.

In the next instant, his neck was clamped tightly in a vice-like grip.

Less than a second had elapsed since he unleashed his mystic technique, and he had already been captured…

“That crystal skull in your hand looks quite interesting…” The man who had caught Charles was none other than An Lin, and he inspected the skull with a hint of intrigue in his eyes.

“Senior, if you like this skull, I would be happy to offer it to you provided that you let me go,” Charles trembled uncontrollably as he conceded.

He was no idiot. He knew that this man must have been far more powerful than he was to be able to catch him so easily. There was no way a Soul Formation Stage powerful being could do this. This man was most likely a legendary Return to Void Stage mighty figure!

“What a beautiful, delusional world you live in. You killed citizens of our Hua Nation, and you still want to escape with your life?”

An Lin’s hand became inky black as the extreme power of evil manifested onto Charles’ neck. “You’ll be subjected to the most horrific torture for what you’ve done! Perfected Heavenly Ghost Palm!”

Boom!

“Argh…!”

Charles’ bloodcurdling cries rang out throughout heaven and earth.

The Flash Demon, who was one of the most powerful beings in the Genetic Alliance, was tortured to death on the Corkscrew Heavenly Street!
