Chapter 594: Chapter 594: Closing the Net

Doctor Holloway listened for a long moment, his brow slowly knitting together. With a grave expression, he said, "Oh, I didn’t catch it before, but I can feel it now. Miss Sinclair, you have a deep pulse. You must be anemic!"

Claire Sinclair furrowed her brow slightly. "Just anemia?"

Doctor Holloway froze for a second. ’I can’t believe I actually guessed right,’ he thought. He then continued, "Anemia is a sign of weakness in the internal organs. I’m afraid there’s a problem with your heart. Miss Sinclair, do you experience symptoms of an irregular heartbeat?"

At his words, some of the anger in Claire Sinclair’s eyes faded. She deliberately softened her tone and said, "That’s right. Doctor Holloway, what else did you find?"

Doctor Holloway’s attitude shifted as well. "Miss Sinclair, pulse-taking isn’t foolproof. What I’ve found is the limit of what I can discern. I’m not sure what specific illness you have. Please, just tell me. My medical skills are rather... average. I’m afraid I can’t diagnose it just by listening to your pulse."

Claire Sinclair smiled faintly and said, slowly and deliberately, "I have a condition where I get an overwhelming urge to serve justice whenever I see someone prey on the weak and fear the strong. I also have this heart problem where, the moment I see a charlatan, I want to bring them to justice. And on top of that, I have a nasty disease that makes me want to rip the liar’s mask right off whenever I hear someone telling a bald-faced lie. So tell me, how would you treat all these illnesses of mine?"

"Huh?" Doctor Holloway stared blankly, not comprehending for a moment.

Cyrus Marshall was also completely bewildered. "Reporter Sinclair, those sound like psychological problems. The Miracle Health Clinic doesn’t treat those."

Claire Sinclair whipped her head around, her eyes veiled with a chilling frost. She ground out through her teeth, "Cyrus Marshall, are you still going to play dumb with me at this point?!"

One moment, she was a woman who looked weak and easily intimidated. The next, her aura was that of a queen, radiating sheer power.

It was as if something had slammed hard into Cyrus Marshall’s conscience, sending a tidal wave of shock through him. A sense of dread began to well up inside him.

"Reporter Sinclair, I don’t quite understand... what are you talking about?"

"You don’t understand, is that it? Heh..." Claire Sinclair let out a cold laugh, turning to look at Adrian Quincy’s stern, impassive face.

Adrian Quincy slowly raised his hand and gave a signal. Several plainclothes subordinates flooded in from outside, methodically blocking the examination room’s exit.

Seeing the sudden commotion, both Cyrus Marshall and Doctor Holloway froze, their faces pale with shock, too stunned to process what was happening.

Adrian Quincy’s cold eyes narrowed slightly as he watched the two men, his face devoid of expression.

His glacial gaze seemed to pierce right through them like a volley of arrows.

Aiden Howkins stepped out from the group and stopped before the two men. He said with a smile that didn’t reach his eyes, "Cyrus Marshall, Samuel Holloway, you are under suspicion for multiple crimes, including fraud, illegal human organ trafficking, infant abduction, and murder for profit. We are now placing you under arrest. Please come with us."

Cyrus Marshall’s mind went blank with panic, and he began to struggle. "You can’t just arrest us! Do you have any proof?"

Aiden Howkins calmly produced an arrest warrant, smiling. "We wouldn’t have a warrant without proof. But by all means, try to resist."

As he finished speaking, all the agents drew their weapons.

The color drained from Cyrus Marshall’s face in an instant.

Doctor Holloway had been scared witless for a while now, not daring to even fart.

And just like that, the two men were taken away by Aiden Howkins.

Claire Sinclair stood up gracefully and turned to the silent man. Seeing him lost in thought, she couldn’t help but ask, "Adrian, what are you thinking about?"

’She’d discovered that when this man zoned out, he could stay that way all night. He had barely said a word since they arrived.’

Adrian Quincy shook his head gently. "I’m thinking about how to clean up this entire industry."
