Chapter 2094: 24.355 Sixth Violet Star - Key

With the whole world shaking, both the lands and the skies had some cracks, every living being in this star had fallen into panic. They couldn’t believe that after fighting for their lives in this almost endless war, the world would still come to end. Those at the borders were panicking. But under the command of the two commanders, they had moved in an orderly manner and avoided a stampede that would most likely unintentionally kill people. After all, in the face of death everyone is equal.

At the borders...

The Beast God Mo Minkong and Lord Huzi were supporting those who were slow on the move due to their injuries. Most of these injured ones were supported by soldiers. The elite force led by Long Juedi was in the lead and was also protecting the flanks as for the rear it was completely left for the two commanders to handle. After all, as gods they can fly. What made it worse was that even the beast race were racing towards them as if they knew that the safest place in the world right now is the ancient forest.

In the midst of running, the border walls which no wars can destroy are now completely gone. The earth under it had collapsed which instantly destroyed the walls that separates the barren and fertile lands.

With most of the survivors heading to the ancient forest, Mo Minkong and Huzi were checking the borders for those who were left behind. As expected, there were some who could not move because of a collapsed wall imprisoning them in some small space. This time, the shaking of the land still continues and it would frequently get stronger and weaker with unknown patterns. Only those who had full control over their bodies can move in this kind of situation.

The Ninetailed Fox Beastmen Huzi was listening for the sounds of cries within the debrises trying to find more who were still alive. He can hear even the weakest sound at such a noisy place. He and the Beast God were in their beast forms so their sense and strength are heightened to the fullest. They didn’t want to miss any survivors as all of them were a part of the borderland and under their command.

"Brother, there is someone over here! Please help me with the walls. I cannot just kick it away afraid that the ones under might get buried." The Ninetailed Fox Beastmen Huzi said. He is now a Ninetailed Fox with the size of a huge building with silver fur. On his back, were some survivors they had found all the way.

Coming closer is a black bear even bigger than the ninetailed fox. The real form of the Beast God Mo Minkong is a Chaos Earth Bear which explains his huge size and towering presence.

Mo Minkong said, "I will lift the big and heavy parts. Watch out for some smaller sizes and protect those that are under."

"Leave it to me!" Lord Huzi said.

While they are busy saving people, some beastmen and elves come to support them. They would take the survivors off their commanders hands so they can focus more on rescuing. Though they wanted to help as well, they were afraid that the land under them might collapse and that would be the end of them. They aren’t like their commanders who were already gods and can fly in their human forms.

"Lord Mo, Lord Huzi, please leave the survivor to us. We can bring them over to join the group ahead." The beastmen said.

"We can heal their wounds as well!" The elves said.

"How about the dwarves?" The Ninetailed Fox Beastmen Huzi asked,

"As for the dwarves, they are looking for the area with the strongest land and no caving. Thanks to that we were able to avoid some routes that could collapse anytime."

"Good. You guys should go ahead. We still need to check one last area before retreating," said the Beast God Mo Minkong.

After saving the family that was stuck under the walls, the survivors were all taken away by the other group of soldiers to lessen the burden on their commanders. Once they were gone, Mo Minkong and Lord Huzi were the only ones remaining. All of the sudden, the Evil Beast God Ouroboros and Pei Jin had appeared before them. They had descended from the sky above and were obviously flying the whole time.

Lord Huzi turned serious when he saw them while Beast God Mo Minkong held back his wife and calmed them down.

"These two are no longer enemies," whispered Mo Minkong to his mate.

Confused, Lord Huzi couldn’t help but ask, "What do you mean?"

"Their missions as Villains ended when the world and entered this state of apocalyse. The world can no longer control them to do things against their will," Beast God Mo Minkong said.

The Evil Beast God Ouroboros said, "As expected from a being born from chaos. Even though you are mixed, you know more than others."

"There is no need to be sarcastic at this point. If you want to enter the ancient forest, the two of you must hide your appearance. The protagonist’s hatred from you killing his family is something that can be easily forgiven," said Lord Mo Minkong.

The Evil Beast God Ouroboros said, "I know. I will keep that in mind. However, why are you still staying in this place? You cannot be waiting for him to arrive?"

"There is something we must do," said Mo Minkong.

Lord Ouroboros asked, "Do you need help?"

"No! You cannot defend against him! Why do you want to see him?" Pei Jin said. He is obviously terrified by something.

The beastmen leader, Lord Huzi asked, "What is wrong with him?"

"Just a few nightmares about the future which might become reality," said Lord Ouroboros as he soothes Pei Jin’s emotions. "Calm down. Nothing will happen. Alright, we are not alone this time."

It was only under these words that Pei Jin had somehow calmed down.

Lord Ouroboros said, "We should be leaving."

"It’s already too late!" said the Beast God Mo Minkong.

As if making his words reality, the four of them flew off the ground only to witness the line that separates the barren and the fertile land to completely collapse. Now a huge, long and deep trench had appeared before them. It was so deep that they couldn’t even see the depths of this hole.

The Beast God Mo Minkong said, "Let my wife take away your mate. We can slow him down at least."

"No!" Pei Jin and Lord Huzi said.

The Evil Beast God frowned as he could feel the familiar dangerous aura coming from the depths of that trench and said, "He is right. Xiao Jin. I’m sorry."

He chopped the neck of Pei Jin forcing him to fall unconscious and passed him to Lord Huzi.

"I will leave him in your care," said Lord Ouroboros.

As for the Beast God, he coaxed his wife and said, "Don’t worry. I promise you I will not die."

"... You better keep this promise!" The Ninetailed Fox Beastman Lord Huzi said as he carried Pei Jin who was unconscious and flew as far away as possible.

A few moments after Lord Huzi and Pei Jin had left. The Beast God Mo Minkong had suddenly puke some blood.

Cough!

The Evil Beast God doesn’t seem surprised and said, "As being born from chaos and this world, if this world dies you will as well. This trench is proof that the world is crumbling. You have sent away your mate because you have something to tell me is it?"

Lord Mo Minkong nonchalantly wipes the blood at the corner of his lips and says, "How did you know?"

"Your mate is still a demigod so he cannot see the golden chains on you connected to this world. You’ve sent him away because you don’t want him to witness your death," said the Evil Beast God Ouroboros.

The Beast God looked at him as his eyes turned purple at this moment. "Death? That is something us Chaos Creatures will never experience. As long as chaos exists we will be resurrected endlessly."

"This cosmos is truly full of treasures and resources. Especially this chaos energy which allowed the stars, universes and cosmos to regain life and vitality. But the chaos in your world is far too powerful, how are you even able to control it?" The Evil Beast God Ouroboros asked.

When he had asked this question, he wasn’t expecting any answer. After all, information about the chaos itself was a secret that every cosmos tries to hide from outsiders.

As for Beast God Mo Minkong, he told Ouroboros what he knew. This is also because he knew that even if he knows, as someone considered a part of this cosmos, he had the right to know.

"...I do not control. The only ones who can control it are those who were born with its bloodline. I am not one of them."

"..."

"I let you stay because there is something you must do," said Lord Mo Minkong as he passed some kind of key to the Evil Beast God.

Lord Ouroboros asked, "What is this key for?"

"Go to the core region of the barren land and you will see a mansion covered in restriction. This key can remove the restriction around it. Free the ones staying inside the mansion. They are our only chance of survival," said Mo Minkong.

As if realizing something, the Evil Beast God looked at Mo Minkong in disbelief.

He exclaimed, "You are crazy! You’ve truly restricted your two sons!?"

"The heavenly laws of this world are my parents and my sons were the ones who agreed to this as well. We can only keep the balance of this world this way. Moreover, it cannot completely stop them anyway if they become serious about leaving," said the Beast God Mo Minkong.

The Evil Beast God Ouroboros asked, "What is this restriction all about?"

"You will open it if you want to survive and if you want your partner to leave. Your partner is a mortal. He cannot exist outside of this world unless he had become a god himself. He won’t be able to leave with you. You can only save him if this world is saved," Mo Minkong said.

Lord Ouroboros grits his teeth and tightly holds the key in his hand, "You aborigines of this world are truly crazy!!!" He flew away in a hurry heading to the core region of the barren land. His mission is to free the two people in this existence that can save their world.
