Chapter 1764: 24.25 Sixth Violet Star - Healing Ability

Long Juedi and Long Teng’s arrival to the mercenary tower had caught everyone’s surprise. After all, one of them is the one those people inside the room are waiting for.

"You are finally here!"

"Get inside! Your egg was legit and was tested by the tower. Moreover, it’s a unique one for a support class beast."

"You are so lucky!"

"I can believe those two truly brought an egg over."

"People said they saw this pair coming out of the ancient forest alive."

"The patrol guards were alo shocked and thought that undead appeared in the city!"

"Go in."

"They have been waiting for you all this time!"

As expected, the people outside pulled the two youngsters and pushed them into the room which finally caught the attention of those three inside. The two wardens, Yun Ming and Lou Wuye, who were pretending to be mercenaries and the president of the mercenary tower were waiting for Long Juedi to arrive. Thus, when they saw him coming all eyes had fallen on this young lad.

Yun Ming was smiling when he saw the child. His face was as gentle as always as he welcomed Long Juedi.

"Young master, you are finally here. My husband and I brought your requested beast egg from the ancient forest. The tower master had checked it. However, just in case, would you like to check it before accepting the egg?" Warden Yun Ming asked.

Long Juedi and his cousin, Long Teng stare at the white egg with golden hue pattern. This is the first time they had seen such a gorgeous looking beast egg. It even looked a bit holy as well. Everyone can guess that these beast egg had most likely had connect with a rare ability which is healing.

"This egg... Is this the beast egg you got from the ancient forest?" asked Long Juedi with his eyes full of excitement.

The tower master commented, "Young master Long Juedi is truly lucky. This egg is considered a rare one with healing ability. It can be found at the hidden area within the outskirts of the ancient forest near a deep cliff. No ordinary beast master can do such a thing."

"Impossible! Our Long family even sent an Elite rank Beast master to the ancient forest but he never returned. How come these two can suddenly bring out a beast egg from a place considered as a dead zone!?" Questioned Long Teng. He truly believes such a rare beast egg wasn’t something taken from the ancient forest but somewhere illegal instead.

The Chief Warden looked at Long Teng with eyes full of indifference and said, "Are you saying that we are a fraud? If your Long family doesn’t accept it, it can still be sold for a price."

"The mercenary tower can buy it for a big price," said the Tower Master.

However, the one who issued the mission said, "No! Mister, please don’t listen to my cousin’s words. I am the one who had issued the mission. The decision will be made by me. I want it!" Long Juedi said.

Seeing this the adults didn’t say anything else. Before Long Juedi had arrived, the three of them had their own conversation in which, Yun Ming and Lou Wuye, pretended to be beastmaster with high rank and sold a few good beast eggs to the tower but saved the best for their client which is Long Juedi.

The tower master decides to leave and pats Long Juedi’s shoulder on the way out. "Truly a lucky boy. To think your mission would attract a Master level beastmaster to complete it. You deserve that egg. It’s the best beast egg for support."

Leaning a bit closer to the young man, the tower master whispered, "However, the payment won’t simply be money. Watch out."

Only when these words had been spoken that he walks out and meet these group of melon seed eaters.

The tower master looked at the people that had gathered by the door and said, "How long do you intend to eavesdrop? Disperse!"

After the people had left, they saw the face of the tower master commanding everyone to move away from the room and causing disturbance, they watched the cold appearance of the beast tower master and a group of bystanders start. Once they heard his voice, they had split up to hide something.

After the tower master had taken his leave, Warden Yun Ming had escorted the two children to their seats. The moment they had taken their seats, the two noticed that they couldn’t move all of the sudden and couldn’t speak or scream. Long Juedi and Long Teng looked at each other with fear in their eyes. They couldn’t believe that someone would truly make a move against them.

Seeing their frightened look, the warden chuckles. With a move of Yun Ming’s hand, a small snake slipped out from their back and crawled back to Yun Ming.

Warden Yun Ming said, "Alright. We are just scaring you or a bit. This is just a small joke suggested by the tower master of this building."

"Don’t be afraid. We aren’t that much interested with you two brats," said the Chief Warden voice still sounds unfriendly as always.

Warden Yun Ming said, "The tower master wouldn’t have lent this room if he didn’t trust us. Alright, let’s talk about the compensation. We do not need any money, just a few questions you need to answer honestly."

"Galaxy pattern one blackish-purple and one silver. Have you seen eggs like this?"

The two wardens were closely monitoring their reactions. But as children, how can they know something as a poker face? They instantly flinched when they heard about the galaxy patterned eggs and Long Teng even spoke up.

He said, "Those eggs had longed hat—"

Long Juedi urgently covered his cousin’s mouth and said, "We don’t know anything!"

The child, Long Juedi, looked at them vigilantly. Clearly, unlike Long Teng it seems that his relationship with those two are closer than they expected. Warden Yun Ming and the Chief warden looked at each other and nodded their heads.

Yun Ming placed a small envelope on the table beside the egg and said, "Please give this to your grandfather, the old marshal. The egg is the payment to do so. By the way, our names are Yun Ming and Lou Wuye, if those two asked for it you can tell them that."

The two wardens stood up and prepared their leave. They didn’t think much about the children and walked out of the door where the tower master himself was waiting. The Chief Warden glances at him and ignore. Only Yun Ming politely speaks to this tower master.

Yun Ming said, "We’ve returned the children to you unharmed."

"The father of one of those brats is a friend. I am just keeping an eye on them in my territory. One question: Did you actually enter the ancient forest?" The tower master asked.

The Chief Warden, Lou Wuye, responded. "Of course. Do you think we are lying?"

"You can go in now. We are taking our leave," said Warden Yun Ming as he pulled his lover away from him.

As the two of them disappeared from the crowd, a man appeared beside the tower master and ordered, "Tail them. Not too close and not too far."

"Yes, Master!"

After this command, the tower master entered the room to meet the children. As soon as he entered, he saw the two children having a brawl. Seeing them like this, the tower master recalled their father who would also brawl this way when they got into the fight. The tower master looked at the unmoved egg on the table. Beside it is a small envelope with no words.

The tower master checked the letter but found nothing unusual. He placed down the letter and grabbed the two brats still fighting. After a while, the two sat back on the table with a disheveled look because of their fight.

The tower master said, "Stop fighting. Tell me everything those two had done and asked."

However, Long Juedi didn’t speak a word. Long Teng wanted too but stopped after being blackmailed by his own brother. Seeing them keep quiet, the tower master understood that whatever those two had asked the children was something he can’t know even if he wanted to and it might be connected to the secrets of the Long Clan.

Sigh~

"Alright. It’s time to go home," said the tower master, then his eyes wandered to it and said to Long Juedi, "This egg is special and many outside this room wanted it. They might want to steal them as soon as you leave the tower. To avoid that I can only send you back home personally."

Long Juedi wanted to decline this escort but when they were pushed out of the room, countless eyes had fallen on to them and most of the intention behind this eye is not good. They are all staring at the egg in Long Juedi’s arm. Even Long Teng felt uncomfortable with their stares.

The tower master asked, "Are you still going to decline my escort?"

"Please send my cousin and I back home," Long Juedi said.
