Chapter 1354: 19.13 Second Red Star - Blue Morpho Butterfly
Outer space, somewhere within the wide galaxies.
Lucas watches as the route he picked back to their home planet is finalized. Their departure from the Zerg planet, the Hive, was unexpected. Not only was the spy mission exposed, but now only he and Major Cid Warlock remain in their troop. All their other comrades and friends died to save them.
They lost everything and everyone. Lucas experienced what it is like to lose something valuable that one has fought so hard to obtain just by thinking about those brothers who were in a similar situation and ultimately had to die in order to save them. On human planets, halflings are treated exactly the same as female zergs. Surprisingly, though, the Hive treated these halflings exactly the same.
Your status in the Hive was influenced by your gender. You will be seen as being under the command of a male zerg as long as you are a female zerg. Despite having mixed genetics, halflings are nonetheless seen as superior to female zergs in the Hive because the majority of them are guys. Since zergs do not make decisions based solely on appearance, they were not mistreated by anyone in the Hive.
As Lucas wallowed in his sorrow, the spacecraft sank deeper and deeper into the galaxy. It was Cid Warlock who had finally stirred from his sleep inside the hovering capsule. He awoke within the healing pod, sensing that all of his wounds had healed. Lucas pulled the Major out of the healing pod as soon as he noticed that he had woken up.
Major Cid Warlock saw that their spaceship was empty save for Lucas. His face paled in horror; there are only two presences in the entire spaceship. Before passing out from blood loss, all he could recall were the horrified expressions on his subordinates’ faces.
Now that he is awake, he sees that not only have they left the Hive, but his other subordinates are all gone. Major Cid Warlock guessed what might have happened. Most likely, only he and Lucas had survived and escaped from the Hive.
After trying to calm his anxious heart, Major Cid Warlock finally asked, “Where… where are the rest?”
At this question, Lucas’ eyes turned red once again. Despite the sadness in his heart, he still responded to the major’s question.
“Boss, they are all gone!”
“The Zerg Queen appeared after you arrived. To send us away, everyone… Everyone blocked the Zerg Queen to make us a path.”
“Everyone chose to stay. I… I… don’t know why am I still alive? Why can’t I die with them instead!?” Lucas was suddenly undergoing a mental riot.
A powerful, warped mental wave swept across the spaceship. Cid Warlock was impacted as well. Despite having a weak Zerg bloodline—so weak that it hardly shows in him—Lucas is one of his halfling subordinates. With the exception of his eyes, which occasionally turned round, black, and monstrous.
He now believes differently from what they had always believed—that it was just a non-bug with limited physical capabilities.
Lucas is not a helpless person. There is hardly a trace of him that embodies the Zerg lineage. This is not due to a weak lineage, but rather to a very strong bloodline purity. After all, a person appears to be human, the more powerful his zerg lineage is. Similar to how Queen Titania refrained from revealing any inhumane body parts until he unleashed his zerg bloodline.
Lucas appears to be that way, but tests have shown that he is in fact mixed-blood. Thus, the Lucas situation has only one possible outcome.
Major Cid Warlock mumbled in shock, “Quarter human. Lucas only possessed a quarter of his human bloodline. He had a stronger zerg bloodline than the rest of us. This bloodline seems to come from a female zerg. That can only mean I…”
He can only grit his teeth as a way of helping Lucas calm down using his zerg bloodline. This also means exposing Major Cid Warlock’s worst secret. A male zerg was the source of half of his lineage. His other father is a male zerg who pretended to be human and fell in love with his father, who is among the greatest Sentinels.
Though they knew about his dad’s race, his father killed him for the federation and killed himself as payment for killing his beloved.
Cid Warlock did not understand at the time why his father had killed his dad if he was going to later repent and commit suicide. Cid Warlock discovered his ancestry through his dad’s journal after both of his parents passed away. One could argue that although his father did not prevent his dad from killing himself, he was not unaware of it.
Once the federation discovered his father’s Zerg identity, they kidnapped him. In order to spare him from torture, his dad pleaded with his father to kill him.
As a newborn, Cid Warlock inherits two of his parents’ genes. Thus, it did matter what gender his parents were when he was born. It can be claimed that Cid Warlock detested the federation after discovering the truth about the deaths of his parents. Sadly, despite his hatred of people, he cannot detach himself from them because they are his origins.
Rather than that, he made the decision to embrace all halflings, half zerg or half beast. Cid Warlock took them all in. His ideal society would be one in which race and lineage are irrelevant.
He agreed to the suicide mission to kill the Zerg King since the federation granted his request to give him a planet where halflings have the freedom to depart with their own rights. Sadly, all of his people were slain before his hopes could come true, leaving only Lucas at his side. He came to the conclusion that he would not be genuinely alone if he lost Lucas.
Inside the spaceship materialized a female zerg who took on the appearance of a black widow spider. It was Lucas speaking through his insane black widow spider form. Lucas replaced the head with his upper body. Appearing more like a chimera than a halfling. Cid Warlock shuddered at the sight of it. Cid senses the mental riot Lucas is going through, even if his father’s Sentinel lineage is stronger.
Cid Warlock sent forth his Butterfly, the Blue Morpho. This is the Zerg bloodline he employed to disguise his beastly summons. His actual summon beast is not the same. It is a blue dragon descended from the king. He called forth his blue lesser dragon and turned to face the agitated Lucas, who was injuring himself to relieve the agony.
{Master, this halfling is more like a zerg than a human. Are you sure you want to save him? Exposing your other bloodline is more dangerous than using it as a fake summon.} The lesser blue dragon said.
Sentinel Cid Warlock said, “It’s fine. Even though my zerg bloodline is only half, it’s powerful enough. After all, my dad is the real royal butterfly tribe and not that fake one on the throne!”
“Azure, restrain him. I will try to wake him up and cure his spiritual domain,” Cid Warlock said
{As you wish, Master!}
ROARRR~
With a roar, the lesser dragon took off in the direction of the black widow halfling. He bound even the black widow’s limbs, encircling its body with itself. Lucas can only scream now as he tries to free himself. Regretfully, he remains less powerful than an S-class Sentinel such as Cid Warlock. Cid Warlock noticed Lucas confined and peered around him at the Blue Morpho butterfly.
It fell gently between his fingers. Cid Warlock bowed his head, letting the Blue Morpho butterfly’s antennae brush against his brow. The Blue Morpho Butterfly absorbed itself into Cid Warlock’s body and manifested itself in him under the blue dragon’s sight.
His black hair turned light blue, his eyes turning the same color, and a pair of blue Morpho butterfly wings sprouted on his back. Like all male zergs, his features grow a little delicate. His human ancestry is what maintains his physique manly. He now has the most attractive appearance of any human.
Cid Warlock had trouble utilizing his butterfly wings to fly and came dangerously close to falling several times. Once he was close to Lucas, he gave him a forehead bump with the former and used his mental qi to quell the disturbances inside Lucas’s spiritual realm. He did not know any spiritual cultivation techniques to help Lucas refill his qi, therefore it took him hours to fully cure Lucas.
Lucas eventually woke up and saw the stunning halfling of a Blue Morpho butterfly in front of him just as he was about to pass out. He thinks that Cid Warlock as she is now is far more beautiful than the Zerg Queen he previously seen. Before Cid Warlock could fall, he grasped him.
The Azure dragon, seeing the human clutching Cid Warlock, released his restraints and took off toward its master.
{Halfling. Are you capable of protecting the last pure Blue Morpho Butterfly Royal tribe of the Zerg Race? If humans learn about the Master’s special zerg bloodline, he will be restricted all his life. If the current Zerg Race knew about him, they would either revere him or get killed by the current Royal Tribe. Neither side is truly on the master’s side.
Despite that, he chooses to save you, even if it means this secret will be exposed. Are you willing to protect him until the end?}
Lucas looked at Cid Warlock in his embrace and in his current state. He controlled his transformation and returned to his full human state. The black widow spider disappeared on the spot.
“I’m willing to protect him with my life,” Lucas stated to the blue dragon in front of him.
He was aware that the Azure Dragons are supposedly the ancestors of the Warlock Clan. Major Cid Warlock had awakened a blue butterfly, not the Azure Dragon, which infuriated the federation. Cid Warlock had to start at the bottom like everyone else when the Warlock Clan lost their inherited general position. It took him only a year to get to the major position.
He truly have the capacity to be a colonel or higher, but he will never be able to advance because he chose to accept the Halflings. Cid Warlock would not simply be a major if it were not for them. He could have been the federation’s youngest general. He believed, as did his fellow allies, that they had brought the Lord to earth.
They are ready to take on this suicidal mission—killing the Zerg King—because of this. They ultimately fail, and the only people who survive are him and Major Cid Warlock.
Lucas asked, “Do you know what happened to me just now? I don’t remember much of what just happened to me.”
{You had a mental riot. Female Zergs have powerful abilities and physical strength but their minds are delicate. Only with the help of a male zerg’s guidance could you heal your disabilities. You are not a mere halfling. You are a hybrid with only a quarter human bloodline and the rest is your zero bloodline. Your Zerg Bloodline came from a powerful female zerg.
You are not weak but a powerful female zerg warrior. You have fully awakened just now.}
Lucas couldn’t believe what he just heard. He had always thought that, as a halfling, he was considered the weakest among Lord Cid’s troops. But now he was told that he was actually powerful. A female zerg like the Zerg Queen which sent fear directly to his soul.
“What did you say!? A hybrid female zerg!?” Lucas exclaimed.
Unbeknownst to them, Zhi Yang was now live streaming the scenes on this side while in invisible mode. System Yang, who had crept into the spaceship to investigate something in the Human Planet, had used Zhi Yue as a medium to show the God of Void the entire thing that was happening.

Imperial Palace, King’s Chamber…
Before King Augustus Kaiser floated a light screen, left to the God of Void’s side by the dumb small moon system’s subsystem. King Augustus was currently keeping an eye on Cid Warlock’s condition.
Gazing at the broadcast, King Augustus seems uninterested.
“Interesting. So Augustus Kaiser is the fake Zerg King while Cid Warlock is the real descendant of the Royal Zerg Tribe. No wonder in the plot he had successfully convinced Titania Ambrosia to rebel against King Augustus. So this is the real reason why, though it doesn’t matter much to me.”
