Chapter 1078: 17.5 Fourth Violet Star - Chaos in the Laboratory
Chapter 1078: 17.5 Fourth Violet Star – Chaos in the Laboratory
What happened to Megan Shelley yesterday?
Megan Shelley went to his room after he had finished arranging everything. His body collapsed and was carried back to the infirmary after being punished by his professor and running ten laps around the training field. The nurse in the infirmary had let him sleep and rest for as long as he needed. The memories of the original had returned to him during this brief sleep. Furthermore, for some reason, the memories of the previous life were incorporated into the current one.
In his previous life, he witnessed the original owner of this body employing every trick in the book in order to obtain what he desired. He used his main family’s naive cousin. Tried everything he could to ruin his cousin’s reputation so that the Imperial Royal Family would cancel Silvan von Rosegard’s engagement to Christopher Klein von Imperlian, the second prince. What’s surprising is that he did everything and accomplished everything. The majority of it was due to the system in his head. This system just popped into his head one day and told him to do this and that.
It was a typical system in the story, with a villain who would directly punish him whenever he failed a mission. It’s an electric shock that comes from his brain, and it’s so painful that if he survives the punishment, he’ll go insane. Megan Shelley did everything he was told in his previous life, but it was all for the sake of survival. He did not complete the mission, however, because he was apprehended by the Second Prince and died.
The system in Megan Shelley’s head malfunctioned after the host died, but it still attempted to transport the host’s soul to the past. As expected, when the system returned to the past to bring his Host’s soul, Megan Shelley’s soul broke down, especially when his soul in the second life completely melted into nothingness. The system had also crashed, leaving only a few functions that could be controlled manually.
Someone from another world has taken over Megan Shelley’s soul. Zane Lin is his name. 𝒃𝒆𝙙𝙣𝒐𝒗𝒆𝒍.𝙘𝙤𝙢
He is a rogue Sorcerer in his world. He is one of the greatest Sorcerers in the world, but he is too eccentric because he enjoys breaking sorcery laws. He is killed in an explosion caused by accidentally mixing spells.
As soon as the nurse left, Megan Shelley, or so the body was called, opened his eyes and looked around cautiously. After whispering an unknown spell, a thin barrier separates the sounds and protects the one who appeared unexpectedly inside. Megan Shelley’s eyes sit up and he checks it with his body’s qi. He used to be a sorcerer, which explains why he is skilled at the circulation of energy in his body. As a Magic user who does not use mana to activate a spell but rather a catalyst, the qi in his body becomes his most powerful source of control over his spell.
Zane Lin noticed something strange in his mind. He suspected this was the reason for the so-called system that controlled Megan Shelley in his previous life, much like a microchip.
He began chanting again as a few magical circles appeared on his head, and then a small chop was teleported directly out of his brain, leaving the inside of his brain unmoved.
While examining the microchip he had removed from his head, Zane Lin decided to keep it instead, and once again looked through the original memories before storing it somewhere. He understood the laws and concepts of this world because he had complete control over Megan Shelley’s body. Even though there is no magic or spell in this world, there are people who have what is known as Mental Ability. They have the ability to manipulate the qi around them, not only to attack and defend, but also to heal.
Zane Lin mumbled, “As long as my spells are considered invisible no one would notice right? I can just say I am capable of using elemental abilities if I really need to use them. Though those people are rare, they do exist in this world.”
“The problem is the Protagonist Shou of this world. His hatred for the original owner of his body is too much. He even used a potion to completely destroy his cousin’s soul. What a cruel child. Anyway, this body is now mine so who cares about him? If he dares to touch me I can ensure he will go down with his sins.”
“I still have classes in Apothecary. Let’s go make an arrangement for the dormitories and rest.”

Back to the laboratory…
The sudden clashes of attacks between the Dean and the intruder had caused chaos in the laboratory just below them especially when the mirror of the hidden room burst due to their fighting.
BOOM! CRASHED!
AAAHHHH!
The students below screamed in shock and terror. When a burst of qi was felt, most students hid under the table, with the exception of Yara von Chrysalis, but Jace Green still pulled his friend under the table with him. Glass shards scratched some students, causing cuts and wounds on various parts of their bodies. Fortunately, none of them were seriously injured because their Apothecary professor is also a Mediator and assists the students in blocking the glass shards. But, as a C-ranked Mediator, he could only protect those who were close to him.
The Professor shouted urgently, “Students! All of you get out of the Laboratory!! Also, call the guards of the school. Tell them an intruder had come inside the school!!”
The terrified students were mostly trembling in terror. They were just ordinary people, so the battle between warriors, regardless of whether they are Mediators or Adjudicators, was inevitable. They’d look like shrimp among the whales. They can even be injured by a simple swing of these guys. They were deemed fragile in comparison to the others. Some teachers also arrived on the scene to assist in the protection of the students. After all, ordinary students are protected by the law, and if they are harmed by an Adjudicator or Mediator, the latter will bear the consequences.
Jace Green murmured at the scene, “It was at this time that I truly wanted to become an ordinary person.”
“Aren’t you an ordinary person?” Yara von Chrysalis said he looked strangely at Jace Green. Whose lips twitched at such a question.
But before Jace Green could say anything, he noticed his friend crawling towards his plant not far away. All of the students’ bags and belongings were left in one corner of the room during Apothecary Class. Their class had just finished Agriculture, and their plants had been brought to the laboratory with them. He noticed his friend approaching his flower pot. Everyone in their class knows that Yara is obsessed with his flower pot and treats it as if it were his child. He wasn’t surprised to see him crawling over the pink flower pot.
Jace Green said, “Y-Yara… What are you doing? Come back here!!”
“My flower… I don’t want it to die.” Yara von Chrysalis responded.
Meanwhile, Dean Frey had injured the intruders physically, but he had severely harmed the other’s mental strength. His mental abilities are exceptional, as he is the strongest Mediator in the First Military Imperial School. At the very least, he can make his opponents go insane.
The intruders who entered the school without permission and intended to harm the students were suffering from mind mania at the time. Not only that, but all of the awakened teachers and security guards had gathered to surround him. He was aware that things had deteriorated.
This intruder had forgotten what his Master had instructed him to do. His only mission was to look into a student named Jace Green. But, in order to finish his mission as soon as possible, he intended to kidnap the student and bring him to his Master. Who would have guessed that the man watching the students with him was the Dean of the First Military Imperial School before he was able to do so? He is a rough warrior with an ugly face, which scared the delicate Mediators and prevented him from curing his mental disorders. Because of his dislike, his mental disabilities weakened his strength, and he nearly died on the battlefield.
As a result, his dislike for the picky Mediators had turned to hatred. He began losing his temper whenever he encountered a Mediator and began taunting any Mediator in sight. Dean Frey von Gregory simply happened to run into him. His eyes began to turn a bit red, indicating that a mental riot was in full swing. He began hearing and seeing illusions that forced him to work. The uneasy words of disdain he had heard in the past because of his appearance, the rejections of Mediators, and his hatred for them became more intense. In this state, he can barely maintain his sanity.
Dean Frey von Gregory noticed his changes and said to everyone in the area, “His suffering from mania! He is an A-ranked adjudicator who gets someone to subdue him physically. I can barely hold him back!”
As a result of his master’s mental riot, the intruder’s gorilla quantum beast began attacking the area and even falling into the laboratory where the students were. When the gorilla fell, not all students had been evacuated. The students screamed once more and ran out of the laboratory in terror. A stampede occurs, adding to the chaos in the area.
Suddenly, the gorilla began acting strangely like its owner and turned to look at the plants in the corner of the room. They dash into that area, as if something in there could alleviate the pain in their heads. Yara von Chrysalis happens to be nearby, clutching his pot of pink astilbe. Nobody expected a student to be standing in that spot right now. They only realized when Jace Green, in shock, screamed his friend’s name.
Jace Green shouted, “YARA! RUN AWAY!”
“What is that student doing there?!” Their Apothecary professor exclaims in incredulity.
When someone called his name, Yara von Chrysalis turned around, hugging a pot of pink flowers. The professors were terrified when they saw an ordinary student like Yara being attacked by a crazy Adjudicator and a mad gorilla quantum beast.
“No! Stop them! Don’t let the student get hurt!” Dean Frey von Gregory ordered, but he was already panicking. He already suspects that this student, Yara, is a soul fragment of his Lord. But, unlike the soul fragment from the previous world, he can’t see anything that proves this young man is a strong existence.
His thoughts, ‘I will be dead if this young man really is Lord Hei’s Soul Fragment and I let him get hurt.’
But, in full view of everyone, Yara von Chrysalis just stood there dazed as the two beings attacked him. In his arms is that pot of pink astilbe, which grows quickly and begins to move on its own, as if it has gained intelligence. Its flower wined out into countless thick branches, instantly forming a wood cage to protect Yara von Chrysalis inside. The gorilla quantum beast and its master had been attacked by the two thickest vines. They were grabbed by their legs and slammed against the laboratory walls like toys until they were dizzy from being slammed here and there.
Surprisingly, the pink astilbe flower even covers its owner’s eyes as it beats up the two creatures who dare to harm them. Dean Frey von Gregory and the other professors in the area were taken aback. Yara von Chrysalis is a typical ordinary student. There was no qi emanating from his body at all. So they were certain he was just a regular person.
But, if that’s the case, how did that ordinary flower pot gain intelligence like this one in just one night of his care? It was so powerful that it threw an A-ranked Crazed Adjudicator around like a toy. Everyone was stunned as they watched the scene, which was both amusing and disturbing. Because the person under protection is oblivious to what is going on around him.
Dean Frey von Gregory mumbled, “What the hell is happening?”
The area is filled with the sounds of something hinting at the walls and pleading to be saved. Even the intruder, who had had almost gone insane, had returned to normal after being played with by the pink flower vines around its feet. The Gorilla’s eyes were already swirling from being thrashed around and unable to utter a single sound.
