Chapter 164 - Coronation
Chapter 164: Coronation
Immediately after Reylin left the dungeon, he used a scant amount of mana to bring Princess Rose to her kingdom.
He left her with stunning words, then logged out.
Once he appeared in real life, Reylin threw the VR Helmet away. He left the bed and promptly grabbed his phone.
His cheeks were still wet as Reylin cried in both worlds.
"I need an ambulance! The address is-" He shouted to the phone.
"Please, tell me what happened first-" A lady on the other side followed the procedure behind the ambulance's call.
However, Reylin quickly made her change her intent, "I am Crown Reylin! Shut the fuck up and send the ambulance! She needs your fucking support!"
No one was sane enough to introduce themselves as the Crown.
Reylin's voice was urgent. Still, his tone didn't allow the lady to reply. She became a servant after his voice rang out in her ears, then obediently issued his orders.
All done, Reylin ordered his butler, "Bring me to Maya's house."
-
"She's in the same coma as other players," Crown Liam said.
He stood behind Reylin, whose eyes hovered on sleeping Maya. She was indeed in a coma after her death in the game world.
Many cables were plugged into her as she needed the support to stay alive.
Reylin secured the spot in Crown Liam's hospital with his help.
Those words reached Maya's parents as they were naturally here.
Maya's mom burst out with cries. She concealed her face with her hands while trembling no end... Maya's father shook in the same way as Maya usually did...
Reylin saw it countless times now, so his eyes didn't move.
He stared at his friend in silence.
Crown Liam peeked at his brother's face, then retracted his eyes, "At most, one year... if I don't solve this in one year, I will no longer call myself the Crown."
That was a deep declaration.
Maya's parents stopped moving. They turned their eyes to two brothers, then gawked at them with hope!
Reylin smiled at them, "One year... That's what he said. For Maya's sake, take care of yourselves, please. If you need any help, call me... I will accompany you."
"Thank... you..." Maya's mother yet again let out tears.
Not many could afford such good care from the Crown's themselves. That appeased their pain a little.
At that time, a nurse entered the room. She brought warm blankets for the parents and provided some meals as it had already been a few hours for them in the hospital.
Reylin left the room, followed by Crown Liam himself.
They went to his office.
Liam approached the window and hovered his eyes on the night city...
He then sighed, "I felt a lot of responsibility ever since I can remember... When I was little, I was pressured by our grandpa too much... I started learning something I wasn't fond of... Medical School... It was scary to me.
But after so many years, I've grown to like this job. I saved so many people, made our parents and grandpa proud... I achieved the impossible..."
Reylin faintly smiled.
He was well aware of what his brother was trying to say.
Crown Liam saw that smile in the window's reflection, "Other than your love for flames, you were what I wanted to be... Well, I am not that loud or blunt either. Still, I am happy that you will also tread the same path as me, Reylin."
"Yes, I know what to do. I have already requested Aria's support for it... That's why come to the kingdom tomorrow. It's time we will dictate the battleground."
"I will be here, of course. Such an important event... I would also like to invite parents here, but I better not think about it," Crown Liam smiled.
The brothers spent a little time together, then returned back home...
Tomorrow would be one of the most critical days in the Crown's History.
-
It had been just two days since the hero's death.
In the Blue Rose Kingdom, an event that shook the whole city began.
Two guilds, Common Supreme led by Lioness, and The Hero's Party, now led by Titiana, gathered all residents en masse in the Blue Rose Kingdom's capital, Exodium.
Exodium brimmed with people. They filled streets, houses, and roofs. Those residents were naturally driven by the dark matter, so their bodies were tied to each other, sealed through various super fantasy means.
They were like frenzy beasts due to those ties, and it seemed like their symptoms grew worse as time passed.
A few stronger individuals were calmer, and they stood in silence as players managed to get them.
They wondered what was going on...
At last, all residents learned about today's event...
It began with Exodium City getting warmer. It was like the sun suddenly reared, which was weird as dark clouds still teemed within the sky. Then, the temperature grew to unprecedented heights...
That warmth... reached their hearts!
All residents became mute, their eyes going up to the sky.
That was when the clouds turned scarlet.
No dragon hid within those clouds, however.
Those scarlet clouds brightly shone. Beam after beam landed on the capital, slowly filling it with its rays.
Those rays seared the residents and their dark matter mana within.
Their eyes soon trembled, and tears tumbled down their cheeks...
"What have I been... doing? I..."
"It wasn't me... It wasn't me!"
"My daughter! My daughter... No... I sacrificed... my daughter... to kill a player... No... How... Why?"
Countless cries boomed within the city. Those cries came straight out of the purified hearts... All those residents became sane due to the event going on...
And that event was... Coronation.
A loud step rang out from the highest chamber. It formerly belonged to Princess Rose. Now, it has become the sole property of a different breed.
That step belonged to this existence.
The sound of these steps heightened as he slowly approached the balcony. At last, all the residents saw him.
"We have been outplayed... Players and residents... We both were, are, and will be tools in their eyes... Nerven Race... The Ascended... They are our enemies... They are why this world has been turned into what it is now...
Their greed knows no bounds. To achieve their ambition, they will sacrifice anyone, even their own family. Scum like that deserves no place in my kingdom, for I am the Crown Reylin, The King Of Scarlet Flake Kingdom."
[The Blue Rose Kingdom's Princess Rose has given rights to the kingdom's throne.]
[Crown Reylin becomes The King.]
[Crown Reylin establishes his own rules in the Blue Rose Kingdom.]
[The Kingdom's name has been changed.]
After Reylin took the throne, he changed the name and the whole royalty system. He also became the owner of the mana within the kingdom's lands. That was precisely why the scarlet clouds appeared without his Crimson Dragon's appearance.
Reylin injected his mana in the royal veins, then took the reign for himself.
His appearance became bare for all resident's eyes.
He stood with his royal clothes barely touching the ground... On his right shoulder, his Crimson Dragon slept as its whole body coiled around him.
He didn't have a Crown on his head as he was the Crown himself, "This continent only needs one crown...
Me..." Reylin canted his head to the side as he glared at all residents from above!
[King Crown Reylin has issued the new quests.]
[Legendary Quest: The Believers Hunt.]
[Legendary Quest: The Brightdoom Kingdom's Conquest.]
"Commoners are free to return to their daily lives. You've toiled enough... As for the knights and former royalties, you all shall enter the Crimson Dragon's Army. This army will be under Lioness' order.
All of you will follow her orders and attack the Brightdoom Kingdom's provinces. Your objective is to bring their people to our kingdom. Kill only if necessary.
Players willing to play by my rules are more than welcome. I will give you a list to conquer dungeons as my brothers need a few items." The King said.
He chuckled and added, "Since dungeons have epic monsters, we will be more than careful. However, being here means that you all have a few loose screws. Brothers and sisters, we will fight gods at some point. Turn away if you fear some hot chicks and handsome pricks."
Reylin turned around and faced his brothers and close ones, "I suck at speeches, don't I?"
Crowns laughed, "It was quite hype... It could've been more if you read Lawrence's script... He actually spent a night writing his speech."
"Liam, come on," Lawrence blushed, "Reylin already saw it, and he found it too cringe."
"Brothers and sisters sound pretty cringe to me, though," William whistled. He promptly turned his face to the side as Reylin glared his way.
Crown Liam grinned, "You never wanted to be a king, but that's your path, Reylin. Your mana kicked away the Nerven Race, and it should also bring back dungeons to their former state. We will plunder those thoroughly and find a way to solve this crisis. Let's not waste any time."
"Alright, alright. I am going to work with my mermaids," William skipped his way toward his party that he called Mermaids.
Other brothers also went to their new parties as new people joined their teams.
They possessed the Crown System as well.
Reylin's system allowed this whole event, and he naturally gave a lot of options to his close ones.
They possessed much more means than your causal player.
"No royalty should be able to oppose your Crown Mana... We all should be able to assist you with infiltration," A woman with blonde-blue hairs spoke after all brothers scattered away.
She was the former owner of this chamber, Rose.
Clad in black clothes, she stood at the helm of the black-cloaked group known as Black Rose Shadows.
They were waiting for Reylin's orders.
He smiled faintly, "Our army needs to get used to Lioness' command. The quest to conquer the Brightdoom Kingdom is what they need. Players will also assist them, so there's no danger at all.
Most of them will go to the dungeons as that's precisely what's the most dangerous for all of us. But just as my brother said, the dungeons in my kingdom have retracted to their former selves. We will all learn now before the showtime," Reylin stared at Rose, then stepped forward.
He faced her, "We will focus on the believers now. Time to enslave all that still believe in their petty ascended. If they refuse my system, we will forcefully implant it within them to cut all power from the ascended."
Rose nodded, "I will personally interrogate them all."
"Leave some fun for me," Reylin chuckled.
Both of them disappeared from the chamber...
It was time for a lot of clean-up.
[Thanks for the magic castle, Rynoviper! Merry Christmas everyone!]
