Chapter 82: Chapter 82 How to Make a Goddess Forget Her Vow of Chastity

And yet, unfortunately, the big fatty ultimately failed as there was simply too much to cover.

His large belly betrayed him, swaying slightly as he shifted his weight, making him appear more like a wobbling balloon than a noble gentleman.

He cleared his throat dramatically, as if preparing to deliver the speech of a lifetime.

“Hello, ladies!” he boomed, his voice loud enough to echo throughout the classroom.

“My name is Yuan Bao! I hadn’t imagined that I would come here only to meet Teacher Lin Feng and become his student but fate, it seems, has decided to smile upon me. Today, I have the supreme honor of meeting my future wives!”

He gestured grandly toward Chu Jiangyue, Wang Yuyan, and Qiao Mei, as if he were unveiling priceless treasures to the world.

“Please, from this day forward, take care of me, your devoted servant! Your faithful husband! Yuan Bao shall devote his heart and soul to your happiness!”

The three lovely women froze. Chu Jiangyue blinked twice, her lips parting in disbelief.

Wang Yuyan raised a single brow, giving him a look that could have cut through steel.

Qiao Mei folded her arms, her expression flat, but her eyes clearly revealing her unspoken thoughts.

“What in the world is wrong with this man?”

Even little Su Wanwan, seated slightly behind them, felt her small jaw drop.

She tilted her head and whispered to herself, “Wanwan thinks… maybe there’s something wrong with this big brother.” Her tiny hands clutched her pen and paper tightly, and she instinctively dragged her chair a bit closer to Wang Yuyan for reassurance.

But Yuan Bao was oblivious to the mixture of shock, confusion, and mild horror he had inspired.

He puffed out his chest even further, making a small wheezing noise as he did so.

Then, with all the dignity of a man entirely convinced of his own charm, he stepped forward, as if to inspect each of his supposed “future wives” more closely.

“You!” he pointed at Chu Jiangyue with a shaky finger.

“Your elegance and beauty… truly unmatched!” He turned to Wang Yuyan.

“And you! Such grace in every movement! And you!” He swung toward Qiao Mei.

“Oh, marvelous one, your aura rivals even the stars themselves!”

The women remained perfectly still, their faces blank or filled with silent judgment.

Yuan Bao, misinterpreting the silence as awe and admiration, gave a triumphant clap and a wide, beaming smile.

“Ah! I see that you are already enchanted by my presence! Naturally. Who could resist such perfect charm, such talent, such destiny?”

At this point, even the classroom doorframe seemed to sigh under the weight of his ego.

Wanwan glanced at the floor, trying not to giggle, while Chu Jiangyue let out a soft, incredulous laugh, shaking her head ever so slightly.

Wang Yuyan rolled her eyes so hard it was almost audible, and Qiao Mei gave a faint, exasperated sigh.

But Yuan Bao remained undeterred.

“Fear not, my future queens! Yuan Bao shall protect you, provide for you, and most importantly ensure that no other man dares approach you without my permission!”

“Can I at least get the names of my future wives?” Yuan Bao asked eagerly, his eyes sparkling as if the answer would change the course of his life.

“I thought that with how rich your clan is, you could just buy a woman to love you, Yuan Bao,” Wang Yuyan said flatly, her tone dripping with disbelief.

Qiao Mei blinked in surprise. “You actually know this guy, Yuyan?”

Wang Yuyan let out a soft sigh.

She looked every bit the image of a precious daughter, her beauty flawless and refined, like she had been sculpted from the finest marble.

Meanwhile, Yuan Bao stood before them, round and jiggly, looking more like someone who had wandered into the kitchen one day and never left.

His oversized clothes strained slightly at the seams, and his face was flushed with excitement.

The contrast between them could not have been more comical.

And this was why Qiao Mei found it hard to believe that the two actually knew each other.

“I know of him,” Wang Yuyan replied, shaking her head with a mix of amusement and exasperation. “This guy is infamous throughout the city for all the wrong reasons. He’s confessed to hundreds of maidens, and not a single one has agreed to be with him.”

Her lips curved into a faint, wry smile. “He flatters so excessively, it’s as if his tongue were made of sugar. He plans these extravagant confession schemes that are so over-the-top, so absurd, that several songs and poems have already been written about them. Nevertheless, this big guy is harmless… he’s just far too obsessed with finding the woman he wants to spend his life with.”

Qiao Mei’s eyes widened. “Songs? Poems? About him?”

“Yes,” Wang Yuyan continued, rolling her eyes.

“He thinks he’s a romantic genius, but really… he’s just ridiculous. Once, he rented an entire courtyard, filled it with lanterns and flowers, and waited for a girl to arrive… only for her to see him and run away screaming. Another time, he sent a whole flock of pigeons with love letters tied to their legs… all of them returned to him the next day.”

Wanwan, sitting quietly behind the older girls, giggled softly at the stories. “Wanwan thinks… Yuan Bao is very strange,” she whispered.

“Very strange is putting it lightly,” Qiao Mei muttered, folding her arms and giving him a long, assessing look.

Yuan Bao, oblivious to their mockery, puffed out his chest even more, swaying slightly with his large belly, and cleared his throat.

“You all will see! Fate has brought me here, and I am destined to be with the most beautiful women in the world! You will come to love me, whether you like it or not!”

“I’ll do anything you ask. I’ll cook for all of you, do your laundry, wash the dishes… and I’ll even run errands at any hour, carry your bags, polish your shoes, and memorize every little thing you like and dislike. I’ll remind you of birthdays, anniversaries, and every minor event that matters to you. I’ll even—” Yuan Bao went on and on, his voice growing more desperate and earnest with each promise, his simp mode fully engaged, radiating an almost comical level of devotion that left no doubt he would move mountains for them.

After several long minutes, the classroom door finally opened once more.
