I Just Wanted to Teach Cultivation, But Goddesses Keep Coming!

Chapter 77 Painting

Chapter 77: Chapter 77 Painting

Li Ruoxi’s technique collapsed instantly, the dark glow around her body fading as if it had never existed.

All she could do was stand there, rooted to the spot, staring in utter disbelief at Lin Feng’s overwhelming spiritual pressure.

If her aura had only enveloped her own body, then Lin Feng’s had swallowed the entire world.

The desert, the sky, the air itself… everything seemed to exist beneath his presence.

His aura was blood-red, violent and suffocating, radiating a terrifying majesty.

In that moment, he no longer looked like a human cultivator at all, but like a demon incarnate, a being that stood above heaven and earth.

She had thought she had a good grasp of Lin Feng’s power.

She had even believed that her estimation was already generous.

But at this moment, she realized how catastrophically wrong she had been.

From the beginning, Li Ruoxi had judged that Lin Feng was hiding his true cultivation base.

She was the one who thoroughly investigated him after he defeated Li Tianhao.

The sheer amount of spirit stones he possessed and the way he squandered them without the slightest hesitation had convinced her that he must come from an ancient, powerful clan.

That alone had made her cautious.

But now, after witnessing his true power, she finally understood just how shallow her assumptions had been.

If Lin Feng attacked her at this very moment, she would not even have the chance to resist.

She would have no choice but to die… not once, not twice, but countless times over.

There would be no struggle, no escape, no miracle.

Her intuition screamed in terror.

She had a terrifying certainty that if Lin Feng merely raised that annoying finger of his one more time, it would be more than enough to turn her into a cloud of blood mist… or simply squash her like a bug beneath his presence alone.

For the first time in her life, Li Ruoxi felt true fear… not fear of death, but fear of something far worse… absolute helplessness.

Li Ruoxi didn’t know how long she stared at him. Seconds felt like eternity.

Her mind went blank, her heart pounding wildly as countless thoughts collided and shattered within her.

Then she blinked.

And everything was gone.

The blood-red aura vanished. The crushing pressure disappeared.

The desert returned to its quiet stillness, the wind blowing gently across the dunes as if nothing extraordinary had ever occurred.

Lin Feng stood there casually, looking no different from before.

For a moment, Li Ruoxi wondered if what she had seen was real or merely an illusion born from fear and shock.

“So… can we play my shooter games now?” Lin Feng said calmly, as if nothing out of the ordinary had happened at all.

Li Ruoxi gulped and trembled at the same time.

Her throat felt dry, her heart pounding violently in her chest as cold sweat slid down her back.

She blinked hard several times, forcing herself to breathe, forcing herself to calm down, until she finally managed to steady her shaking body.

“If… if that is your wish, Master Lin Feng, I’d be more than happy to oblige,” Li Ruoxi said.

Yet even as the words left her mouth, her voice sounded strange and unfamiliar to her own ears, as if it no longer belonged to her.

The shock she had suffered from Lin Feng’s earlier display of power was far deeper and more devastating than she had initially thought.

Deep in her heart, she felt a terrifying premonition forming.

Lin Feng would either become her greatest opportunity… or her heart demon.

If she could not defeat him or at the very least surpass him then her path of cultivation might stall forever, her progress completely halted by the shadow he cast over her Dao heart.

“Do not fear, Li Ruoxi,” Lin Feng said calmly. “I mean you no harm. I am a friend, not a foe… unless you choose to change the nature of our relationship.”

Li Ruoxi froze.

She was stunned to realize that he was already standing right in front of her, so close that she had not even sensed his movement.

One of his hands lightly tapped her shoulder, the touch gentle, almost comforting.

And yet, that simple action alone was enough to mend her cracking Dao heart, soothing the turmoil in her mind and stabilizing her spirit.

In that moment, the fear that had threatened to overwhelm her finally receded, replaced by a strange sense of reassurance and clarity.

Li Ruoxi choked back a sob in reply, her throat tightening as words refused to come.

She had been born for war, molded from childhood to serve the Li clan, to obey, to sacrifice, and to endure.

More than anything in this world, she did not want to disappoint her master or fail the expectations placed upon her.

A tear slid down her cheek, then another. But there was no third.

She forcibly crushed her emotions once more, sealing them deep within her heart, just as she had been taught to do countless times before.

Even so, she could not deny the gratitude she felt toward Lin Feng for what he had done for her.

“Thank you, Master Lin Feng!” Li Ruoxi bowed deeply, her posture low and sincere, filled with genuine respect and appreciation.

“No thanks are needed between game allies,” Lin Feng replied with a relaxed smile.

“You just need to perform better later on and win for me. That’s all. Now let’s go, Li Ruoxi… we have a marathon of slaughter ahead of us.”

As his words faded, Lin Feng vanished from where he stood, leaving only the whisper of his presence behind.

“I understand, Master Lin Feng,” Li Ruoxi whispered softly to the empty air.

A heartbeat later, her figure blurred, and she too disappeared from the scorching desert, leaving nothing behind but the drifting sand and the fading echoes of their encounter.

A few hours later, two serious faces could be seen teaming up in the game once more.
