Chapter 75 Forever
Chapter 75: Chapter 75 Forever
Li Ruoxi could not believe her ears for several breaths, her mind momentarily blank as the weight of his words settled in.
Yet she was not someone who remained shaken for long.
She forced herself to calm down, her expression smoothing out as she regained her usual composure.
Although she was only twenty-eight years old, her cultivation allowed her to live for more than a thousand years as a Foundation Establishment expert.
More importantly, the training she had undergone under her master’s harsh and meticulous guidance was nothing short of brutal.
Every lesson had tempered her will, every trial had honed her instincts, and every setback had strengthened her resolve, forging her into someone powerful in both body and mind.
Needless to say, she was sharp and perceptive, someone who knew exactly when to push, when to retreat, and when to negotiate.
Her master had specifically tasked her with shadowing Lin Feng’s movements and extracting every piece of useful information she could about him.
Her eyes narrowed slightly, a faint glint of calculation flashing within them as she silently resolved not to let this opportunity slip through her fingers.
“I could do that, Master Lin Feng. But there’s one condition I want,” Li Ruoxi said, her tone calm yet firm, as if she had already anticipated his reaction.
“Oh? You still want more?” Lin Feng chuckled, a teasing smile playing at the corners of his lips.
“I thought keeping my mouth shut about the Li clan’s business was more than enough to earn me a gaming partner for every weekend.”
“It’s really just a small thing,” Li Ruoxi replied smoothly, her eyes steady on his.
“I have no doubt you can accomplish it easily. Think of it as a harmless request from your future weekend gaming partner.”
“Fine,” Lin Feng said after a brief pause, his curiosity clearly piqued.
“What exactly is it that you want from me?” He didn’t have to wait long for her answer.
“I want to exchange pointers with you, Master Lin Feng,” Li Ruoxi said without hesitation.
“I’m certain my horizons will be broadened by witnessing the myriad surprising skills you’ve hidden within yourself. After all, someone as mysterious as you surely has more to offer than what you’ve shown so far.”
Her words were polite, but beneath them lay unmistakable intent… to test him, to probe his limits, and to finally see what kind of monster truly sat before her.
“Yup. That’s an easy request to fulfill. And here I was, thinking you wanted my body for your pleasure,” Lin Feng said, placing a hand over his chest and letting out an exaggerated sigh of relief.
“That’s something I can’t give. My body is precious. I’m afraid to say that I’ll only offer it to the one I truly love.”
His tone was playful, but his eyes held a faint glint of amusement as he rose from his seat.
He casually placed a large tip on the table, far more than necessary, as if the money meant nothing to him.
Then he turned back toward Li Ruoxi and gestured lightly in her direction.
“Shall we? There’s no time like the present, after all.”
“I agree, Master Lin Feng,” Li Ruoxi replied, standing up as well.
Her expression was calm, but there was a subtle anticipation in her gaze as she followed his lead.
The two walked side by side toward the exit, their steps unhurried yet purposeful.
But just as they reached the doorway, something astonishing happened… their figures blurred, then suddenly vanished into thin air, leaving the place completely empty, as though they had never been there at all.
When they materialized again, they found themselves standing in the blazing desert a few miles away from Clear Moon City.
Waves of heat shimmered across the endless dunes, and not a single living creature could be seen for miles in any direction.
It was the perfect battlefield… no bystanders, no structures, nothing that could be damaged or destroyed by the clash of powerful cultivators.
Lin Feng and Li Ruoxi stood facing each other, separated by nearly a hundred feet of open sand.
The wind howled faintly between them, carrying grains of dust that danced across the ground like restless spirits.
Shhtt!
Li Ruoxi drew her sword in one smooth, practiced motion.
The blade flashed in the sunlight as she held it to the side in her right hand, her stance elegant yet lethal, every movement radiating discipline and refinement.
“Hold up,” Lin Feng said calmly, raising a hand.
“Since you made a request, it’s only fair that I make one of my own,” he added, his tone casual but firm.
“And what is it, Master Lin Feng?” Li Ruoxi asked, her gaze sharp and attentive.
“I want to see the real you,” Lin Feng said, his eyes narrowing slightly.
“It’s not good to have a gaming partner covered in makeup and fake skin.”
“As you wish,” Li Ruoxi replied without hesitation.
In the next instant, the illusion shattered.
The frail body of the old woman vanished, replaced by an intimidating, ominous dark aura that surged around her like a living shadow.
The disguise she had worn was gone, and what now stood before him was a woman clad in tight, seductive dark robes that accentuated her powerful yet graceful figure.
Her presence alone caused the surrounding air to feel heavier, more oppressive.
However, her face was still hidden beneath an inky veil of darkness, concealing her true features.
“The face as well,” Lin Feng said lightly. “There’s no need to hide between game friends.”
Li Ruoxi hesitated, her fingers tightening slightly around the hilt of her sword.
For a brief moment, her expression flickered with uncertainty.
But remembering her mission and the importance of gaining Lin Feng’s trust… she finally relented.
Ding!
A breath later, the veil dissolved like mist in sunlight.
Lin Feng’s eyes widened almost imperceptibly as he took in her true appearance.
Before him stood a woman of breathtaking beauty, her features cold and flawless, like a celestial being carved from ice and moonlight.
Her eyes were deep and sharp, carrying both elegance and danger, while her aura radiated an overwhelming sense of authority and exquisite beauty.
For a brief moment, even the desert winds seemed to still, as if the world itself was acknowledging her presence.
