I Just Wanted to Teach Cultivation, But Goddesses Keep Coming!

Chapter 72 Compound

Chapter 72: Chapter 72 Compound

A few hours later, Li Tianhao’s father finally received a reply to his inquiry.

He opened it and read the words carefully. It was short, concise, and chilling in its authority:

“Do not touch Lin Feng.”

Li Tianhao’s father blinked, unable to mask his shock.

Anger surged through him, the same furious heat that had driven his son to madness earlier.

He wanted to roar, to lash out, to strike Lin Feng down despite the warning but there was nothing he could do also.

To disobey this command would mean certain death.

He looked down at his son, lying on the bed.

Li Tianhao’s body, once so full of vigor and pride, was now broken and humiliated.

Finally, with a slow, low sigh, he muttered to himself, his voice heavy with resignation…

“I suppose… this must be heavenly retribution for my son’s many wrongdoings as well. I guess it’s better to lose your balls, Hao’er, than to offend someone we can’t afford to offend.”

The room fell silent, save for the faint sound of Li Tianhao’s ragged breathing and the occasional creak of the bed.

Meanwhile, back in Lin Feng’s courtyard, he was busy playing his shooter games alone.

Emery wasn’t there to join him, as she had the weekends off, leaving him to play alone again.

Lin Feng lounged comfortably, controller in hand, completely immersed in the digital battlefield as one opponent after another fell before him.

By midnight, he had defeated every player he encountered without a single loss.

His kill count climbed to absurd levels, and his name dominated the leaderboard so thoroughly that it looked almost unreal.

On Earth, the game’s forums exploded with rage, disbelief, and helpless outrage.

“How is this guy still here?”

“I swear we got him banned already!”

“This has to be a fucking hacker… there’s no way a human can react that fast!”

“Fuck! I can’t take it anymore. This player named JuniorYouSeekDeath is practically unkillable in this game! I quit!”

Thread after thread filled with complaints, accusations, and desperate calls for moderators, but nothing changed.

No ban notice came.

No patch fixed the problem.

Every time someone respawned and tried again, they were gunned down in seconds by the same unstoppable player.

Back in his courtyard, Lin Feng merely yawned, his expression relaxed and bored, as though none of it mattered.

To him, this was nothing more than a casual pastime.

After all, with his current abilities, even reality itself could be bent to his will so what chance did a simple game ever have against him?

Eventually, Lin Feng shrugged and decided to call it a night.

He let the controller slip from his fingers, and the large floating monitor hovering before him flickered once before shutting down completely.

The room dimmed, returning to its usual quiet stillness.

He stood up and stretched lazily, rolling his shoulders and arching his back, then yawned again and again as if he were truly exhausted.

Although he no longer needed sleep, it remained a habit he cherished… one of the few simple pleasures he still enjoyed without restraint.

There was something comforting about closing his eyes, letting his mind drift, and pretending, if only for a while, that he was still an ordinary person.

He walked toward his bed, but just as he was about to sit down, his steps paused.

His gaze shifted to a seemingly empty corner of the room, his expression calm, yet oddly knowing.

“Well? Did you enjoy the show?” Lin Feng asked casually.

“If you’d introduced yourself earlier, I could’ve let you play the game with me.”

Silence.

The air remained still, and nothing stirred. Lin Feng waited, counting slowly in his head, giving whoever or whatever was there ample time to respond.

One minute passed.

Still nothing.

“So you’re pretending not to exist? That’s fine too,” he said with a faint smile.

“It’s actually quite convenient. A free guard and someone to watch over me while I sleep. Not a bad deal at all. Good night.”

With that, he turned away, lay down on the bed, and pulled himself into a comfortable position.

The room grew quiet once more, the only sound being the soft rhythm of his breathing.

A few minutes later, his gentle snores serenaded the darkness, as if nothing unusual had ever happened at all.

A gentle breeze passed through the room, stirring the curtains ever so slightly, and the unseen visitor vanished without leaving even the faintest trace.

The air returned to stillness, as though nothing had ever been there at all.

Several minutes later, within the deepest and most secretive grounds of the Li Clan, a shadow silently emerged.

It slipped through layers of formations and barriers as if they were nothing more than mist.

No guards noticed its presence. No alarms were triggered.

The shadow moved with flawless precision until it finally stopped before a tightly sealed chamber hidden deep underground.

“Midnight… is that you?” a woman’s voice called softly from within.

“Yes, Master,” the shadow replied.

Her voice was gentle, calm, and respectful, making it unmistakably clear that Midnight was a woman.

“…”

The woman inside the chamber remained silent, waiting.

Midnight did not disappoint.

“He saw me, Master,” she said after a brief pause. “Lin Feng broke through my Ghost Breath Secret Art. I was completely concealed, yet he detected me without hesitation.”

The words hung heavily in the air.

A long, tense silence followed.

Even the surrounding space seemed to grow still, as though it dared not disturb the moment.

Finally, the woman inside the chamber spoke again, her tone solemn and filled with gravity.

“Notify all the clan elders and issue a warning immediately. Lin Feng must not be provoked under any circumstances. If any of our clan members encounter him, they are to withdraw at once and take a long detour. No one is to engage him. No one is to test him. Anyone who disobeys will be killed immediately.”

“Yes, Master,” Midnight replied without hesitation, bowing deeply. “I hear and obey.”

With that, her form dissolved back into the shadows, leaving the sealed chamber once more in complete silence.

“Another troublesome variable has come…” the woman inside this secret chamber murmured.
