Chapter 507: Chapter 507 Look, If the Immortal Emperor Didn’t Want Me to Have It, He Shouldn’t Have Left It In His Tomb
A moment later, they began streaming down her cheeks.
"Waaaah..." She cried while clutching her belongings.
"You came back!"
"I missed you so much!" The sight was both adorable and amusing. The servants passing nearby looked at one another awkwardly. It was only a pen and some paper.
Yet the little girl was reacting as though long-lost family members had finally returned home. Su Wanwan paid no attention to anyone. She continued hugging her treasures tightly.
Then she carefully inspected every page one by one. She flipped through them nervously. Her expression became increasingly relieved.
"Nothing is missing..." She checked another page.
"Wanwan’s notes are still here..." Another page.
"Wanwan’s drawings are still here too..." She even found a crude drawing she had made of her mother the first time she tried drawing her.
Although the drawing looked nothing like her actual mother, Su Wanwan still nodded proudly.
"It’s perfect."
After confirming that everything was intact, she hugged the paper and pen once more. Fresh tears appeared in her eyes. These were tears of happiness.
Lin Feng quietly watched the emotional reunion from his seat beneath the tree. A faint smile appeared on his face.
Cultivators spent their entire lives chasing supreme treasures, divine artifacts, immortal techniques, and heavenly fortunes. Many would kill, betray, and scheme for such things.
Yet here was a little girl crying tears of joy because she had recovered a simple pen and a stack of paper. She knew nothing about how special these items were. There was something strangely pure about it.
Something that many powerful cultivators had long forgotten. To Su Wanwan, value was not determined by rarity or power. Value was determined by how much something meant to her.
The pen and paper contained her memories, her stories, her drawings, and her dreams. That was why they were precious. Lin Feng found himself appreciating that simple perspective.
Meanwhile, Su Wanwan suddenly turned around and ran back toward him. Before Lin Feng could react, the little girl threw herself into his arms.
"Thank you, Mentor Lin Feng!"
She hugged him tightly.
"If not for you, Wanwan would never have gotten them back!"
Lin Feng gently patted her head.
"It was nothing."
"It wasn’t nothing!"
Su Wanwan immediately protested.
"It was very important!"
She lifted her pen high into the air as though presenting a supreme treasure to the heavens.
"Without this, Wanwan couldn’t write stories anymore!" Then she raised the stack of paper.
"And without this, Wanwan couldn’t draw either!"
Lin Feng laughed softly.
"Then make sure you take good care of them this time."
"Wanwan will!" Su Wanwan nodded so vigorously that her blonde hair bounced up and down.
"I’ll protect them forever!" The little girl then carefully stored her treasures away before sitting back down beside Lin Feng. The smile on her face was brighter than the morning sun itself.
For the rest of the morning, she never let the pen leave her sight for even a single moment.
Lin Feng was happy to see that, and after a while, Su Wanwan finally calmed down.
The little girl continued hugging her precious pen and paper tightly against her chest as if she feared they might suddenly disappear again.
Her eyes were still slightly red from crying, yet her small face was overflowing with happiness. She looked at Lin Feng as though he were the greatest hero in existence.
"You’re really the best mentor, Lin Feng! Wanwan likes you so much!" Su Wanwan said sincerely, cute tears still lingering in the corners of her eyes.
Lin Feng chuckled.
"Of course. I always try my best, Wanwan." He gently patted her head. The little girl immediately revealed a bright smile.
"Come. Let’s tell the others about this good news."
"Hmmm!"
Su Wanwan nodded repeatedly before turning around and running toward the mansion.
"Mama! Mama! Look at what Wanwan has right now!" Her excited voice echoed throughout the entire residence as she took out her pen and paper from her storage ring again.
The servants, guards, and maids along the way couldn’t help but smile when they saw the little girl running around so energetically. Inside the mansion, Su Wanwan quickly found her mother.
"Mama!" Before anyone could react, she threw herself into her mother’s embrace. Her mother caught her with a helpless smile.
"What happened? Why are you so excited?"
"Look! Look!" Su Wanwan immediately raised the pen and paper high into the air.
"Wanwan got them back!"
The woman’s eyes widened slightly before a look of understanding appeared on her face.
"You got them back?"
"Yes!"
"How?"
"Mentor Lin Feng helped Wanwan!" Su Wanwan proudly puffed out her chest as though she herself had accomplished something incredible. The other women nearby soon gathered around.
"What happened?"
"Didn’t those treasures disappear?"
"How did she recover them?"
Su Wanwan instantly became the center of attention. Like a storyteller performing before an audience, she began explaining everything that had happened.
Of course, as she told the story, many details became exaggerated.
"Wanwan was very brave earlier!" The little girl struck a heroic pose.
"The bad evil man took Wanwan’s treasures away. Then Mentor Lin Feng calculated with his fingers saying Wanwan’s treasures will come back soon and they did!"
She spread her arms dramatically.
"Wanwan think Mentor Lin Feng defeated the bad people in secret!" Everyone listened while trying their best not to laugh. Even Lin Feng, who had just entered the room, found the scene amusing.
One of the women covered her mouth.
"Really? Was Wanwan that brave?"
"Of course! Wanwan fought evil and succeeded!"
The little girl nodded seriously.
"Wanwan wasn’t scared at all." Everyone knew she was lying. Just earlier she had cried enough to flood a small pond. Still, nobody exposed her. Instead, they continued listening to her adorable story.
By the time she finished, she had transformed a mysterious retrieval of her items into a legendary adventure worthy of being written into history books. The room was filled with laughter.
The cheerful atmosphere spread throughout the mansion.
