Chapter 503: Chapter 503 You Dare Give Me a Gift Without Kowtowing? Wait, Never Mind, It’s Shiny

Gu Tianzun whispered.

"Those..." His voice became louder.

"Those are exactly what I want!" His eyes turned red.

"Give them to me!"

The pressure of a Divine Tribulation Realm expert leaked from his body. The heavens trembled. The earth shook. Many cultivators turned pale. Yet Su Wanwan remained completely unaffected.

She simply looked down at the pen and paper. Then she remembered something. The day Lin Feng had given them to her. She remembered proudly showing her drawings.

She remembered Lin Feng praising her. She remembered how happy she had felt. A warm smile appeared on her face. Then she hugged the pen and paper tightly against her chest.

The smile on Gu Tianzun’s face froze. Su Wanwan shook her head.

Once. Twice. Three times.

"Wanwan is sorry." Her voice was soft. But her answer was firm.

"Wanwan can’t give them to you."

Gu Tianzun’s expression darkened.

"What?"

"They are gifts from Mentor Lin Feng." Su Wanwan spoke with complete sincerity.

"And Mom says gifts are important." She nodded seriously.

"If someone gives you a gift, it means they care about you."

"So Wanwan has to treasure them." The little girl hugged the pen and paper even tighter.

"They’re very important to Wanwan."

Gu Tianzun’s face became uglier. His patience was rapidly disappearing. Yet Su Wanwan seemed completely unaware. Instead, she looked genuinely apologetic.

"But..." Her eyes brightened.

"Maybe Wanwan can give you something else!" She quickly opened her storage ring. A mountain of random objects appeared.

Candy. Cookies. Colorful stones. Wooden toys. Hairpins. Dolls. Pretty shells. A slightly damaged kite. A wooden sword. A basket of fruits. Several half-finished drawings.

And many other miscellaneous treasures collected by a child. The cultivators stared blankly. Even Gu Tianzun froze.

"Wanwan has lots of things." She proudly pointed at her collection.

"You can pick one." Then she thought for a moment. Seeing how unhappy Gu Tianzun looked, she generously added, "You can even pick two."

The city became silent. Many cultivators lowered their heads. Their shoulders shook. Some were desperately trying not to laugh. Others wanted to laugh but feared Gu Tianzun would kill them.

A supreme Divine Tribulation Realm expert. An ancient monster who had dominated countless generations. A terrifying existence capable of destroying kingdoms.

Was currently being offered candy and toys in exchange for treasures beyond imagination. The contrast was simply absurd.

Meanwhile, Gu Tianzun’s face had turned completely black. The veins on his forehead bulged. His fists clenched tightly. The last remnants of his patience finally reached their limit.

Yet Su Wanwan still looked at him expectantly. In her innocent little mind, she had just made an extremely generous offer. After all, sharing two toys instead of one was a very big sacrifice.

Unfortunately for Gu Tianzun, he had just discovered a painful truth. Negotiating with an innocent child was far more difficult than negotiating with immortal emperors.

Gu Tianzun wanted nothing more than to abandon all restraint and go berserk. Every instinct in his body screamed at him to seize the treasures by force and crush anyone who stood in his way.

However, the stinging pain in his face reminded him why such an approach would be foolish. Even now, he could still taste blood in his mouth.

His expression darkened as he recalled what had happened earlier.

A mere pen and a sheet of paper... objects that should have been completely harmless had somehow slapped him away like a disobedient child and had managed to hurt him.

The humiliation was unbearable. He was Gu Tianzun, an immortal whose name alone could cause countless worlds to tremble.

Yet he had been injured by two treasures that did not even possess mouths to speak or eyes to see. The more he thought about it, the more furious he became. Still, he forced himself to suppress his anger.

His eyes narrowed. Since force had failed, he would use another method. A smile appeared on his handsome face, though there was not the slightest warmth behind it.

"No," Gu Tianzun said slowly. "I only want those two things of yours... the pen and the paper. I have no interest in anything else." His voice echoed throughout the sky above Clear Moon City.

"I will not take your toys, your food, your clothes, or anything else you own. Give me those two treasures, and I will leave immediately."

The citizens listened carefully, their hearts hanging by a thread. Then Gu Tianzun’s voice became cold.

"But if you refuse..." A terrifying pressure descended from the heavens. The clouds darkened. The winds stopped. The entire city felt as though an invisible mountain had suddenly fallen onto their shoulders.

"...if you continue to be stubborn, I will kill everyone in this city." His gaze swept across the countless mortals below.

"Every man." His eyes moved to the women.

"Every woman."

Then toward the children.

"And every child."

The city instantly fell silent. No one dared to speak. No one dared to move. Even breathing felt difficult.

"You have twelve breaths to decide, little girl."

One breath.

Two breaths.

Three breaths.

The countdown had not even been spoken aloud, yet everyone could feel time slipping away. Many citizens turned pale. Some began praying. Others lowered their heads in despair.

Against an immortal, what could they possibly do? Their fate was now entirely in the hands of a little girl.

"Killing is bad!" Su Wanwan suddenly shouted. Her childish voice shattered the silence.

Everyone looked toward her.

"You’re a bad person! Wanwan doesn’t like you!" The little girl glared fiercely at Gu Tianzun. If looks could kill, Gu Tianzun would have died several times over. Unfortunately, she was still only a child.

Her brave words could not hide the tears beginning to gather in her eyes. She hugged the pen and paper tightly against her chest. Her small body trembled. She did not want to give them away.

She really, really did not want to. The pen and paper were special to her. They were her friends and she loved them so much.
