I Just Wanted to Be a Galactic Hunter—Why Am I on the Wanted List?
Chapter 448: A Unique Voice!
After Retab Collin finished speaking, he stared intently at Loren, wanting to see his reaction to the current state of the Federation.
After all, Loren had some part to play in the failure of the Resistance this time.
This dangerous man who emerged from the slums of a remote planet had already reached a point where he could influence many things.
Facing Retab Collin's undisguised gaze, Loren calmly looked back at him.
"So you want to know my stance that badly."
"Has my threat level within the Association been raised again?"
Retab Collin nodded.
"Your position remains an unknown bomb to the Association's internal affairs."
Hearing this, Loren smiled meaningfully.
However, he didn't say much more.Nor did he tell Retab Collin his true attitude toward the Federation.
After obtaining the latest intelligence on the Federation, he simply tipped his hat slightly to that deeply hidden "Fat-Headed Lazy Fish" and spoke:
"See you next time, Slacker Chief."
With that, Loren calmly turned and left.
As if his return to the Interstellar Hunter Association was only to repay a loan.
Miss Silver Dragon stood quietly to the side, watching this scene unfold. She unconsciously tilted her head, her eyes spinning strangely as she scanned back and forth between Retab Collin and Loren.
It seemed that Mr. Loren's relationship with the Interstellar Hunter Association wasn't all that great.
This was truly... surprising for a dragon...
"We should go, Miss Jessistan." Loren's voice came from ahead.
Hearing Loren's urging, the corner of Miss Silver Dragon's mouth curled up strangely again.
"Coming, Loren!"
After one last glance at Retab Collin, she turned and quickly followed Loren's pace...
At that moment.
The dark clouds in the sky happened to disperse at just that instant.
The setting sun of Radiant Flow Main City descended.
A dim golden light gently fell upon Loren and Miss Silver Dragon.
Their shadows stretched long by the sunset, cast onto the castle gates of the Interstellar Hunter Association.
Man and dragon walked side by side toward the distance.
A remarkably harmonious scene.
A proud dragon and a solitary human walking together—unexpectedly, it fit.
Retab Collin stood still before the castle gates, watching the departing figures of man and dragon, choosing silence.
...
A long time later.
After Loren and the silver dragon's figures had completely disappeared from Retab Collin's perception range, he, still standing silently before the castle gates, pulled a special red communicator from his chest.
He dialed.
"Update an internal intelligence report: the silver dragon is exceptionally close to Loren. Do not rule out the absurd possibility of her being a pet."
Pausing here, Retab Collin took a breath.
"...This person is extremely dangerous. If conflict arises with them, it is recommended to handle it carefully."
"My suggestion is that, from now on, commission tasks related to kidnapping or hunting the Dragon race should be quietly shelved."
...
------------
Federal Calendar 7709, January 5th, evening time.
Radiant Flow Star Domain.
Outside the Main City, within the vast, uninhabited Nature Reserve.
Deep in the dense forest.
A tall figure and a gracefully proportioned figure were rapidly weaving through the thick, damp woods.
Moving as if on flat ground.
After racing through the forest for thirty minutes, the two figures finally came to a stop.
They had arrived at their destination.
Since the distance wasn't too great, Loren and Miss Silver Dragon, who both loved natural surroundings, had chosen a more nature-close method of travel instead of more convenient options like Teleportation Arrays.
This place was a silent land covered in accumulated and decaying leaves.
Surrounding them were tall, straight primordial trees.
Their intertwined canopies blocked out most of the light.
Compounded by the evening hour, the depths of this forest spot had already fallen into darkness.
When Loren and Miss Silver Dragon arrived here through a relatively rough method of travel,
a subtle, particular change finally occurred in this silent land.
The sturdy, straight trees around them began to shake and flicker.
The next moment.
The thick natural scenery here receded eerily, like a stage curtain being drawn back.
In its place were gleaming white metallic floors and complex walls with gear-like mechanical structures.
The sky above was no longer a dense canopy of leaves.
Instead, it was filled with countless small spherical robots blanketing the dim sky.
These spherical robots, responsible for disguise, maintained a height similar to the distant trees, using their unique abilities to transform this place into a "hidden sanctuary."
Just then, a voice echoed from the surrounding complex gear walls:
"They're my latest holographic high-fidelity stealth series robots."
"So? Pretty good disguise tech from these little ones, huh?"
"With them, I finally don't have to dig underground anymore."
As the voice finished, a section of gear wall beside Loren began to split apart eerily.
A loud "cracking" sound filled the air.
A metal passage, two meters in diameter, was revealed.
The next moment.
Hans, dressed in a black trench coat with his face slightly rounder than before, stepped out of the metal passage with a warm smile, enthusiastically waving at Loren and Miss Silver Dragon.
"Mr. Loren, long time no see."
"Nice to meet again, Miss Jessistan."
At the same time.
The twelve robots, each of a different color, silently following behind Hans also expressed their genuine longing for Loren:
"Mr. Loren! We missed you too!"
"Mr. Loren, I asked the Repairman to update my knowledge base again!"
"Come have a big gamble later!"
"This time, I've prepared a ton of Spirit Stones!!"
"We don't need Reserve Energy anymore! Our controllable wealth level has risen to a whole new height!!"
...
Hearing these sincere greetings, Loren looked at the twelve robot gentlemen, whose appearances and auras had changed dramatically, and a genuine smile spread across his face.
"Is that so? I missed you too, my lovely robot gentlemen."
After greeting the robots, Loren smiled and walked over to Hans, who had clearly put on some weight, and lightly tipped his hat.
"Long time no see, Mr. Hans."
"Looks like you've been doing well..."
Hearing this, Hans gazed at the figure before him, whose aura was even more terrifying than before, and nodded with a smile.
"Thank you for your advice back then, Mr. Loren."
"After my robot partners achieved Legendary status, they finally got some say in the Radiant Flow Star Domain..."
Upon hearing Hans's words, Loren glanced at those slightly excited, adorable robots.
He could tell from the energy fluctuations emanating from these robots.
These lovely robots were now no weaker than ordinary human Legendary powerhouses.
That's not just "some say," Mr. Hans...
