I Just Started College, How Could I Become a Part-Time Papa?!
Chapter 226 Parent-Child Hairstyle
Chapter 226: Chapter 122: Parent-Child Hairstyle
"No!" Zhao Wen Cheng said. "I want one just like Uncle’s."
"Hmm..."
Zhao Wen Cheng’s words seemed to serve as a reminder for Fang Youqing, who took a moment to carefully study Chen Yuan’s haircut.
It looked like an American textured crop, simple and unadorned.
But Chen Yuan’s features were sharp enough, and with his good facial structure, he didn’t need any extra frills. He was the type who was just naturally handsome.
’Without the right haircut to complement his features, my son might not be able to pull off the same look as Chen Yuan.’
"I think it’s worth a try," Fang Youning said quietly.
"Then let’s give it a try."
Fang Youqing didn’t dwell on it. It was just a haircut, after all. And for a two-year-old, if it turned out to be a disaster, they could just change it back next time.
The hairstylist glanced at Chen Yuan’s hair and immediately knew what to do.
Tools in hand, the hairstylist began to cut.
Seeing that the shop was a bit crowded and that he wasn’t needed, Chen Yuan stepped outside and sat on the edge of a planter.
The External Liaison Department’s group chat was buzzing. Filming for the third video was complete. Although he didn’t know how it had turned out, judging from all the excited chatter, everyone seemed very pleased with it.
Just then, Chen Yuan caught a whiff of a pleasant fragrance.
He looked up, only to find his view obstructed by two enormous, round objects. It was Fang Youqing, standing before him.
"Sister Qing."
Chen Yuan dusted off his pants and stood up.
"That formula you prescribed for my son to help with his digestion—I seem to have lost it. Could you tell me what was in it again? I want to go buy the herbs."
"You’re going to buy it now? Are the shops still open?"
Fang Youqing pointed across the street.
"A new traditional Chinese medicine clinic just opened over there. He’s busy getting his haircut and Xiaoning is watching him, so I’m free. It’s the perfect time to go pick up the herbs."
He glanced over his shoulder. The clinic’s facade was decorated in a quaint, traditional style. Lights were on by the entrance, which was flanked by flower baskets and balloons. It had definitely just opened.
"A brand-new shop probably wouldn’t sell counterfeit goods," Chen Yuan remarked.
"That’s what I was thinking, too. I’ll just buy a small batch for now."
"I’ll go with you. That way we can just have them prepare the herbs on the spot. I’ll send you the formula on WeChat later."
"Okay. It’s good you’re an expert in this, you can come with me and take a look."
The two of them crossed the street to the TCM clinic.
It was getting late, so the clinic wasn’t crowded. An employee greeted them as soon as they walked in.
"Are you here for a consultation? We’re offering them for free during our grand opening."
They saw an elderly traditional medicine doctor sitting not far away. He had a kind and benevolent face, though they had no idea about his actual skill level.
"We’d like to buy some herbs," Fang Youqing said.
"Of course. Please follow me."
A woman in a white coat greeted them at the counter.
"What can I get for you?"
"Codonopsis, poria, atractylodes..."
Chen Yuan listed the ingredients he needed, and the female clerk went to prepare them.
"How have you been feeling since you started drinking the Nine Treasures Soup I prepared for you?"
"Much better, actually. I even recommended it to Xiaoning. Her qi and blood circulation isn’t great either."
"Do you still have enough of the herbs at home? Should we buy some more while we’re here?"
Fang Youqing thought for a moment. "Alright. Since we’re both drinking it, we’re almost out."
Fang Youqing still had the recipe for the Nine Treasures Soup, so she went up to the clerk and asked her to prepare another batch.
The clerk was quick and efficient, finishing everything in just a few minutes.
After paying for and collecting the herbs, Fang Youqing glanced over at the old doctor.
"I’m going to let him take my pulse. It’s free, after all."
"Okay."
The two walked over to the old doctor, who put on his glasses.
"I overheard you ordering your herbs," he said. "One prescription is to regulate the digestive system, and the other is to balance qi and blood. Are you seeking treatment for these issues?"
’He seems to know a thing or two,’ Chen Yuan thought, hearing the old doctor’s words. ’In any case, the consultation is free, so his skill level doesn’t really matter.’
"The herbs for digestion are for my son. The ones for qi and blood are for me."
The old doctor placed a small pulse pillow in front of Fang Youqing.
"Here, place your wrist on it."
Fang Youqing did as she was told, and the doctor rested his fingers on her wrist.
"Your pulse is somewhat weak, yet the amplitude is quite broad. This is a classic sign of qi and blood deficiency."
"Is it serious?"
"It’s moderately serious. But you already have a formula, don’t you? Go home and start with that. If you see improvement, continue with it. If you’re not satisfied with the results, you can come back and see me."
"Okay."
"Are your periods regular?"
"I..."
Fang Youqing wanted to hide her face. ’How did a consultation about qi and blood get to this?’
"They’re... pretty normal."
"How old is the child?"
"Two years old."
"Ah, then it should be fine."
"What should be fine?"
"I mean, if you two are thinking about having a second child, your body has recovered sufficiently. It would be best to get your qi and blood in order first, though. In any case, you’re both still young, so there’s no need to rush."
"Doctor, this is my brother," Fang Youqing explained.
"Oh, your brother."
The old doctor smiled, not at all embarrassed. "There’s quite an age gap between you."
"He’s not my biological brother."
The female clerk’s eyes shifted to Fang Youqing.
’If he were her actual brother, that would be one thing. But another kind of "brother"... well, that’s a whole different story.’
’All I can say is, the lives of the rich are beyond the imagination of an ordinary person like me.’
’Still, a girl can dream, right? What if it came true for me someday?’
’When will I get a "brother" like that?!’
"Then there’s nothing else to add. Just follow your current prescription. The results might be a bit slow to appear, however," the old doctor said.
"Understood. Thank you, Doctor."
Having bought their herbs and finished the consultation, the two of them left.
Fang Youqing was quite satisfied with the results of the consultation.
When Chen Yuan first gave her the recipe, he had already told her it was more of a wellness soup, so the effects wouldn’t be immediate.
