Chapter 2135 - 2128: Everybody Line Up

General Xiwat rolled his eyes; Zhang Menglong’s words clearly lacked credibility. Supreme crystals can be found, and such miraculous transcendence techniques can be picked up. Why is he the only one with such luck to stumble upon these things while others can’t?

Of course, he didn’t voice these thoughts. In fact, Zhang Menglong’s appearance is already an incredible event. Perhaps he had some unbelievable encounter that transformed him from a slave to the extraordinary genius he is now?

This matter was arranged as a military secret, and other than the core personnel of the army, no one knows why they suddenly acquired so many beast wings. All anyone noticed was the blood-stained beast wings being transported in large batches to the military fortress.

Acquiring these beast wings wasn’t really difficult. Although the Mansha Kingdom couldn’t collect so many themselves, they could purchase them through the Qinglan Empire’s merchant guild.

The Qinglan Empire is the largest empire nearby, with many affiliated kingdoms like Mansha. The commerce is bustling, and with enough money, even acquiring low-level spiritual beast wings is achievable.

This acquisition effort lasted ten days, piling beast wings like mountains in a training field. With no preservation measures, the area reeked terribly!

"Menglong, these wings have started to rot. Will it really not affect the practice of that so-called flight combat technique?" Xiwat asked worriedly.

Though he is a general, his funds are limited. These beast wings were only approved for collection by giving his military command to reclaim two cities within a month.

"No worries," Zhang Menglong waved his hand. "The skin and flesh rotting doesn’t matter as long as the bones are intact."

"Everyone, step back a little."

"Teacher, what are you going to do?" Karon asked, curious, watching Zhang Menglong, not knowing what he intended.

"These wings need a bit of processing," Zhang Menglong replied.

They were curious but did not ask much, knowing the answer would soon reveal itself.

"Phew!"

A golden flame rose from Zhang Menglong’s palm, its high temperature even dispersing some of the rotten smell.

Having become an ultimate life form, Zhang Menglong could now fully unleash the power of his strange fire. Even with distance, those nearby felt a burning sensation on their skin.

"This..." Xiwat’s eyes widened; he hadn’t expected Zhang Menglong’s display at all.

Transcenders can transform their body’s energy into flames, but he’s never seen such terrifying fire before; the surrounding space visibly distorted due to the heat.

"This flame shouldn’t be from Zhang Deputy General’s energy conversion; it’s likely an inherently natural flame he’s captured!" said one deputy general. "I’ve heard some extreme locations can spawn similar flames or icicles, which transcenders can integrate to enhance their power, but this is the first time witnessing it."

"Where did he collect this flame from? We must ask him later."

"Better not ask; asking is as good as not. He’ll say he picked it up himself," others seemed familiar with Zhang Menglong’s ludicrous tales.

"Let’s first see what the teacher is up to!"

As Zhang Menglong pushed the flame forward, the mountain of beast wings burned up immediately. Under his control, the flame’s temperature was maintained at a threshold, burning off the flesh and refining impurities within the bones without damaging their structure.

As rotten skin, feathers, scales, and flesh vanished, the foul stench disappeared, leaving only the scorching air surrounded by remarkably blue gem-like colored bones!

"Amazing!" Karon exclaimed like a fan, "The teacher’s flame isn’t just hot; it seems to alter the components of beast wing bones."

"What else is he hiding from us?" Xiwat muttered to himself.

"General, regardless of his abilities, at least now, he’s on our side. But I don’t understand why he appeared as a slave," someone noted.

"We were mistaken all along," Xiwat said. "I’ve had someone review the battle scene from that day again; he wasn’t a slave but appeared suddenly on the battlefield, and we misjudged."

"Appeared out of nowhere?" Everyone was stunned, "Wouldn’t that make him a mystery?"

"Yes," Xiwat nodded, "You might find it hard to believe; he was inexplicably drawn into this war simply because he fell and killed someone from the Hongteng Kingdom, thus joining our ranks."

"Really?" The deputy generals were speechless; luckily, he hadn’t accidentally killed anyone from Mansha Kingdom, or he would be with Hongteng Kingdom now.

"Still, why he agreed to join us is unknown," Xiwat added, "Karon, you know Menglong best; what do you think of him?"

"The teacher is mysterious; he often speaks of things I don’t understand and eats food I’ve never seen," Karon said, "But I believe he’s not against us. He genuinely teaches me, and what he offers far surpasses anything I’ve learned over the years!"

"What are you discussing?" Zhang Menglong completed the first step, "Karon, come here!"

Karon approached, "Teacher, any orders?"

"Let’s start with a pair of wings for you!" Zhang Menglong stated, "We’ll use this intermediate beast wings for now; when we find higher-level ones, I’ll replace them for you!"

Throwing the refined wings that almost turned into blue jade, Zhang Menglong instructed, "Listen to my directions, and use your energy to envelop these bone wings!"

Karon glanced at his father, who nodded to him.

Following Zhang Menglong’s teachings, Karon wrapped his energy around the beast bones, marking them with his soul imprint.

The wings astonishingly shrank and slowly merged into Karon’s back, which now bore tattoo-like wings!

Karon tried to awaken the tattoo, and as energy flowed in, a pair of purple wings over 5 meters wide suddenly unfurled.

With excitement on his face, Karon leaped into the sky, accelerating more than 30% faster than ordinary transcenders!

"Wuhu!" Karon shouted excitedly in the air, "This is amazing, these wings are incredible!"

The others saw the purple cloud wings and lit up, "Deputy General Zhang, what about us?"

"Form a line, form a line, one by one!"
