I Have A Dual World Seal
Chapter 1385 - 1384: Found the Primordial Fang Dog Demon Venerable
Chapter 1385: Chapter 1384: Found the Primordial Fang Dog Demon Venerable
Si Lingxi and Lu Zheng flew all the way, quickly exiting the boundaries of the Central Plains and arrived at the edge of the Lianshan Sect’s territory in the Southern Border.
"Demon Blood," Si Lingxi said.
Lu Zheng patted the gourd, and a drop of light blue blood, heavily sealed, was extracted.
The blood hovered in the air, as large as a marble, with rippling waves on the surface and a faint flame burning at its core.
Si Lingxi took the demon blood, added another layer of seal on it, then looked at Lu Zheng who had summoned the Cloud Palace Treasure Mirror in front of them.
With her delicate jade fingers, she twisted the seal technique.
Her graceful divine soul activated the demon blood.
In the next moment, the Cloud Palace Treasure Mirror emitted a subtle spiritual light, yet not a trace of energy leaked out.
Simultaneously, layers of clouds appeared on the mirror surface of the Cloud Palace Treasure Mirror.
Moments later, Si Lingxi’s eyes moved, and she said solemnly, "There are actually three!"
"Three?" Lu Zheng was startled.
Si Lingxi said faintly, "They’ve all been given demon blood by that Yuan Ya Old Demon, but there’s no sign of the old demon among them."
The next moment, the clouds on the mirror surface of the Cloud Palace Treasure Mirror dispersed, revealing a figure.
This was a middle-aged woman, currently standing on a cliff, absorbing sunlight, calmly cultivating.
"Someone from the Lianshan Sect?" Lu Zheng asked.
"It should be," Shen Ying nodded and pulled the camera back, revealing a mountain peak and some buildings in the frame of the Treasure Mirror.
The mountain peak was not big, but quiet and serene.
The buildings were few but harmoniously natural.
Centered around this mountain peak, within several miles around, in the valleys and by the river banks, many villages were settled by the locals, living a fortified life. There were also two medium-sized riverbed plains with towns nestled within.
Clearly, this was a sub-forum or branch of the Lianshan Sect, protecting a region’s peace.
Unfortunately, the people here, even the sect members of this sub-forum, didn’t know that their top expert was already implanted with a demon seed.
Once the demon seed takes form, she will be consumed by it, and once the Primordial Fang Dog Demon Venerable strikes, even the hands of the sub-forum won’t escape the demon’s grip.
"Seems that the woman has great potential to be gifted with demon blood."
Si Lingxi shook her head, then shifted the seal in her hand, and the Cloud Palace Treasure Mirror successively displayed the figures of two other men.
One was a very aged elderly man, the other a robust middle-aged man.
The only similarity was that they were all top experts stationed in different regions by the Lianshan Sect.
"Luckily, only three people have demon blood," Lu Zheng nodded.
He knew how vast Si Lingxi’s investigation range was, so just having three didn’t pose much of a problem.
Si Lingxi was less optimistic than Lu Zheng; she said solemnly, "But these are those with demon blood; how many have only demon seeds without demon blood is unknown, no wonder I went all through the Central Plains and investigated some places in the Southern Border yet found nothing."
"At least we’ve found them."
Lu Zheng said, "As long as we eliminate that Yuan Ya Old Demon, the rest will be easy to handle, right?"
"Lu Lang is correct, let’s go further in, first find Yuan Ya Old Demon, then look for Linglong and Meng Ye." Si Lingxi nodded with a smile, "The demon seed takes a long time, that Zeng Changlong — from what I’ve seen, it will still be years before the demon seed bursts forth."
Then the two delved deeper into the territory of the Lianshan Sect.
Except, the Primordial Fang Dog Demon Venerable, being the top demon, even with Si Lingxi’s seal intact, could still sense the casting of magic.
So it was essential to maintain a safe distance.
Even Si Lingxi exercised extreme caution, not delving too deeply in one go to avoid startling the snake.
However, Si Lingxi’s cultivation was profound; even advancing carefully each time, she still found him on the fourth investigation.
And locating his position, it was already in the southern core region of the Lianshan Sect.
"Primordial Fang Dog Demon Venerable!" Si Lingxi squinted her eyes, "Found you."
Lu Zheng raised his eyebrow, "Is it indeed him?"
The image in the Cloud Palace Treasure Mirror showed a hunched old man with shabby clothes and white hair and beard.
This old man was just staying in a riverside village, where he had set up a tent and was treating the villagers.
Inside the tent, three side fireplaces were heating three medicinal pots, the broth bubbling and emitting billowing white smoke.
In another corner, there were common herbs and animal bones piled up, some fresh, some dried.
Occasionally, some mountain dwellers would send the herbs they gathered into the tent.
In the center of the tent were two cushions wrapped with animal skins, the old man sat on one, and the other was occupied by a patient.
Outside the tent, three to five families were holding patients, waiting.
"A doctor?" Lu Zheng blinked.
"Clever," Si Lingxi nodded.
Lu Zheng suddenly realized, "A traveling doctor, it’s never suspicious for him to stop wherever he goes, and during his stay, he can easily plant a demon seed in a high-level practitioner."
"Exactly," Si Lingxi said, "Planting a demon seed also needs some time."
But Lu Zheng considered and asked, "With his Dao practice, hiding in Invisibility should be easy right?"
"It certainly is," Si Lingxi nodded, "but what if he encounters a master?"
Sometimes, walking in human form is more concealed than hiding.
Hiding could result in unexpected discoveries, but wearing a human guise usually doesn’t reveal any qi.
At least, when he walked in human form, without Si Lingxi holding a drop of demon blood, it would be impossible to discover this old fiend.
As they were talking, they saw the old man in the Treasure Mirror finish treating this patient and then called another waiting patient into the tent.
The Primordial Fang Dog Demon Venerable truly embodied his role impeccably, portraying the image of a physician, proficient in mountain walking, but aged in appearance.
Kind browed and good-natured.
Until the setting sun faded, darkness descended, and the old man sent all the patients away, accepted the food offered by the villagers, then drew the curtain and rested in the tent.
Now without anyone around, Si Lingxi also shifted the lens of the Cloud Palace Treasure Mirror.
As the moon rose to its zenith, nearing midnight.
A wisp of faintly visible demonic qi suddenly appeared around the tent, transforming into a thin line, extending over ten miles, directly shooting into a wooden building in the eastern valley of the village.
Within the wooden building, a young, graceful-looking woman was meditating, oblivious as the demonic qi floated towards her dantian, infiltrating it.
"A demon seed, initially, requires nourishment from demonic qi for a few days," Si Lingxi said.
Lu Zheng said solemnly, "Perfect timing for that old demon to be nearby practicing medicine."
Si Lingxi nodded, "Let’s go find Linglong."
But in the next moment, the peach wood token on Lu Zheng’s waist began to vibrate wildly.
