Chapter 783: Chapter 374: The Creator Takes Action (Part 2)

When he woke up, he found that Lin Fei and Kathy had already gone to work, Xueyin had returned to the academy, and Ma Liu had prepared breakfast and gone to the market to shop.

Li Xin finished breakfast, changed into his Night Patrol uniform, and looked in the mirror. Damn, he was even more handsome. Recently, he hadn’t called Qi Badao over, nor ordered a carriage, but instead had been walking around Dragon Capital to observe the reconstruction situation.

On the way to Shadow Owl, he suddenly saw a crowd gathered in a neighborhood, and there were occasional shouts of praise.

"So realistic, it’s simply miraculous!"

"Comparable to the Hex Camera."

"Look, the person in the painting moved, their eyes moved, it’s like they’re alive."

...

Li Xin frowned, squeezed into the crowd, and saw a handsome curly-haired guy painting portraits with flair and focus. His handsome face was extraordinarily personable under the morning light.

"Dalivin!" Li Xin wondered who it was, turned out to be their wandering Painter.

Dalivin was engrossed in his work and was startled. Just as he was about to complain, he looked up and exclaimed, "Brother Li, haha, it really is you!"

Dalivin threw down his paintbrush and stood up, giving Li Xin a big hug.

"I’m glad you’re okay. I was wondering where to find you." Li Xin said.

Dalivin’s face broke into a bright smile, "How could anything happen to me, I want..."

Suddenly, the lively crowd looked at the two with a strange gaze, Li Xin’s body suddenly stiffened, as if trapped in a swamp. A terrifying and unbeatable pressure descended, Dalivin’s pupils disappeared, turning into a pale white.

"Missed you." A deep, heavy voice sounded.

In an instant, Li Xin’s whole body stood upright with goosebumps—a Great Angel Level pressure, with a perverse and mocking intent. His whole body felt encased in cement, unable to move, and all his strategies seemed helpless in the face of such absolute power disparity.

"Dalivin" surveyed his prey. This level didn’t require him to personally act, but the Porcelain Doll’s words piqued his interest—protected by Secret Castle’s Immortal, perhaps hiding a secret. He wanted to collect any peculiar specimens, though the approach of Angel Level power could draw the attention of the Immortal. Yet, this couldn’t pose a challenge for him.

At that moment, Li Xin knew who the enemy was. Most likely, it was the "Father" that Dalivin referred to—the creator, second chair of the Song of Hell—an adversary whose power Li Xin could not currently defeat.

Li Xin’s dice turned, Dalivin’s pupil-less body suddenly started to tremble, "Dalivin" frowned—his masterpiece was resisting his control?

Seizing this instant, Li Xin grasped a Bell. As the Bell’s urgent shakes resonated, mist began to appear.

Meanwhile, at the Celestial Principle Academy, Philson’s expression drastically changed, a furious shout, "Scoundrels!"

A beam of golden light, the figure vanished.

The creator quickly suppressed Dalivin’s soul’s strange resistance, but he sensed two formidable forces approaching, a playful smile curled at his lips. Interesting, the Great Angel of the Celestial Principle School and Secret Castle’s Immortal actually came. Although he wasn’t intimidated, he didn’t intend to engage unnecessarily.

Extending his right hand, his fingers like sharp arrows instantly pierced through Li Xin’s body, ready to tear him apart. But as Li Xin’s life-saving talisman given by Old Fang was touched—golden light erupted, runes covered Li Xin, and his body began to fade, leaving the creator’s claws empty, as Li Xin vanished without a trace—a process that seemed slow but was actually in the blink of an eye.

Stunned for a moment, the creator mused—an Ancient Talisman? Such things are extremely rare nowadays.

Dalivin’s body suddenly shook, pupils restored, followed by blood streaming from his eyes, ears, mouth, and nose, and he collapsed stiffly.

Philson appeared beside Dalivin, scanning the surroundings yet sensing no presence, looking at the nearby blood on the ground.

The mist that was forming also dispersed.

The entire Dragon Capital lost any trace of Li Xin’s presence.

At the Sun Circus.

"Lord Chou, once Lord Creator brings Li Xin back, my task in Dragon Capital is complete. Will you leave with me?" The Porcelain Doll asked while licking a candied hawthorn, "The environment in Dragon Capital is too poor, too dull."

The clown shook his head, "This place is ideal for my practice."

The Porcelain Doll looked at the clown; if the other progressed further, it would be extraordinary—the Great Demon of the Demon Race hadn’t appeared in a long time.

Mist emerged, hats and clothes were absorbed upwards, the Porcelain Doll and clown immediately stood up.

"Huh, Lord Creator, is he already killed? I still wanted to play." The Porcelain Doll said regretfully.

"Unfortunately, he ran. But the chances of survival are slim." Creator’s deep voice sounded, full of heavy interest.

"Ran?" The Porcelain Doll seemed to hear a joke, "Did the Pope intervene?"

In Dragon Capital, only the Pope could snatch someone from the creator’s grasp.

The creator glanced at the clown, "Did Lord Chou foresee this?"

The clown shook his head, "Some humans aren’t bound by destiny. Yet, I’m also curious about how he escaped."

"He had an escape talisman from the old era; once used, it transports to an unknown place. The power of the old era was indeed unbridled." The creator’s voice held nostalgia.

With the era’s evolution, the constraints on Hidden Powers increased, and their usage became more intricate. But during that old era, a time dominated by power, a myriad of Hidden Powers flourished.

"An escape talisman from the old era? Such things are still lingering?" The Porcelain Doll also paused, "That talisman is priceless, unstoppable below Deity’s level. He couldn’t possibly have such a thing."

"Perhaps someone gave it to him. Dragon Capital has two Great Angels on the Life Master path—they’re not from Dragon Capital; they came from that place." The clown said.

"Oh, that’s fascinating. Secret Castle, Celestial Principle School want to protect him—the Great Angels on the Life Master path also gave him their Life-Saving Talisman. Porcelain Doll, inform me if you hear anything." Creator said.

The Porcelain Doll lifted her skirt, "My pleasure. If convenient, I’d also like to play."

The clown bowed, slightly, as Creator’s presence faded, hats and clothes fell to the ground.

"Lord Chou, I’ll leave Dragon Capital’s affairs in your hands. I’ll inform the leader."

"Thank you, Porcelain Doll. Please send my regards to the leader."

The Porcelain Doll nodded politely, lifted her skirt, along with Rune Array brightening underfoot, body flickered and disappeared.

The circus was silent, and humans and animals slept peacefully. Yet, if the Eye that Sees Secrets were opened, one would find that every creature had a faint thread attached, with all threads in the clown’s hand.

The clown toyed with the threads in his hand, gazing at the red moon in the sky, crouched down, opened his mouth wide, began to absorb the moon’s essence.
