Chapter 734: Chapter 326: Aspiring to Be Emperor
Ye Shidao glanced at Dirac, never underestimating this student of his. Though not yet thirty, Dirac was extremely deep-minded and very restrained when it came to matters with women, except for the nun.
"I want to advise you not to get involved. You’ll definitely be more interested; she has walked very far down the path of the seductive woman. Even I get a little stirred upon seeing her. Not to exaggerate, but if it weren’t for my strong vigilance and the fact that I’m not her target, I might not have been able to resist." Ye Shidao advised, not out of sheer goodwill, but because, at a critical moment, he didn’t want unexpected problems. Dirac was a very important card in his hand.
Dirac’s eyes lit up. He understood Ye Shidao’s state; his desire for power and blood far outweighed that for women. This was also a side effect of the transformation. Even such a man could be influenced, proving the nun’s power is extraordinary.
Dirac smiled slightly, "Let’s not delay your important business, teacher. But after things are settled, you’ll have to keep her for me. I want to give it a try."
"Alright," Ye Shidao nodded, "If you can withstand her power, great things can be achieved."
Both Dirac and Ye Shidao laughed. The struggle for the throne in the Black Meteor Empire was hellish, the fiercest among all the kingdoms. It led the princes and princesses of the Black Meteor Empire to either look human while actually being perverse or appear perverse and be even more so.
It’s just for survival.

In the distant Moncalleta, the sunlight was harmonious, and spring blossoms were in full bloom. This season wasn’t too hot, making it the most comfortable time of the year. Ola the Nineteenth was hosting distinguished guests from the Black Meteor Empire.
Moncalleta and the Black Meteor Empire served as the stabilizing foundation of the Eastern Continent. Historically, there had indeed been constant disputes. Although Moncalleta was more often the invaded side, neither could overpower the other. Strong faith and formidable national power allowed for warfare endurance. Though there have been minor conflicts in the last few decades, everything remained controllably manageable. During Ola the Eighteenth’s reign, a cold treatment was maintained, avoiding exacerbating tensions. Although internally some saw this as weakness, the actual outcome maintained the kingdom’s peaceful development.
In diplomacy, of course, Moncalleta also restricted the Black Meteor Empire’s development from various fronts as part of the Celestial Principle School’s strategy, avoiding direct conflict and instead creating trouble through infiltration.
But during Hokele’s rule, he wanted change, hoping to resolve significant threats through marriage alliances. He disliked the feeling of being threatened, as it would cause him restless nights, especially since the other side shared the same thinking. Thus, he saw it as fate’s favor, a great chance to eliminate the rift between the two nations. If achieved, Moncalleta would no longer have any worries.
However, many opposed this, believing the Black Meteor Empire was untrustworthy. These people always thought he was naive.
Naive?
He certainly knew the Black Meteor Empire had ill intentions, but Moncalleta was not a kingdom that the Black Meteor Empire could simply defeat. More importantly, he understood Estella’s allure; no man could refuse such a perfect woman. As long as Frederick could inherit the throne of the Black Meteor Empire, Estella would become an incredibly important cornerstone. Even if Frederick had other ideas, Hokele would be the first to know.
What kind of spy could lie deep within the enemy’s core? His sister, after undergoing treatments at the Withered Wood Monastery and the Celestial Principle School, with the Earth Mother Goddess’s blessing, exuded extreme allure. She was far from being just a pretty face. The greater the power of the man, the greater the temptation. Not to mention the rich dowry from Moncalleta; as long as Estella desired, she could certainly seize control of that man. Once an heir is born, ha!
Of course, the premise was that Frederick could inherit the throne; otherwise, it would all be empty talk. He was merely baiting, to whet the appetite and also prepare Estella psychologically.
There was bound to be some uproar, first to exhaust emotions, and once depleted, things would proceed smoothly. She really thought without the permission of the king himself, Estella could sneak out right under his watch?
Frederick had been in Hedan for a week. Hokele, citing busy official duties, had left him waiting for a while before meeting him today, accompanied by Grandmaster Kundra to show due respect.
"Frederick, have you been enjoying your time in Hedan?" Hokele asked with a king’s reserved smile.
"Your Majesty, Hedan truly lives up to being the pearl of Dao Yuan; it is exceedingly comfortable. I like it here." Frederick replied with a smile. Standing two meters tall, mighty and towering, he wore the Black Meteor Empire’s favored black casual attire. His features slightly rugged, yet exuded a carefree masculinity, full of sexual tension. While his haughty nature was unconcealed, he maintained respect towards Hokele during their conversation.
"If you like it, stay a bit longer." Hokele smiled slightly, greatly satisfied with the feeling. Back when he was a prince, he too spent time at the border, gaining a deep understanding of the opposing side’s arrogance and hubris. Now, with the change of status, becoming king, even such unruly people had learned to bow.
"Your Majesty, this is precisely what I desire. I originally hoped to meet with the Princess, unfortunately." Frederick said with a wry smile. "In a couple of days, I must return. We’re old friends. Not hiding anything from Your Majesty; you’re aware of the current situation in the Black Meteor Empire. None of my brothers and sisters are easy to deal with. The second is now in Lirong, plotting against me, the third and fourth have gone to Tebatan, and the fifth is in Mosel searching for the Wish Book."
Hokele chuckled. He certainly knew that, unlike Moncalleta’s orderly succession, the Black Meteor Empire’s succession was literally hell mode. Every emperor had to fight through numerous offspring. In most kingdoms, the eldest had a natural advantage, but in the Black Meteor Empire, the eldest was usually the first to be eliminated. The fact that Frederick had survived till now was a miracle as well.
"Your succession system has significant issues. I believe the primogeniture is rightful and conforms to the natural order." Hokele said, indicating why he chose to engage with the Crown Prince, believing only the firstborn should become king.
"If only it were so. If I could become the emperor of the Black Meteor, the moment I marry the Princess, the Black Meteor will become a brotherly nation to Moncalleta, and Your Majesty would be my elder brother." Frederick’s rough voice resonated.
Hokele smiled at the flattery, conscious of the sincerity, yet still found it very pleasing, for this was his current power and status, whereas the other was merely one prince among many competitors.
"Oh, do tell, how can you become the emperor?" Hokele inquired.
Frederick stood up, "Your Majesty, for a millennium, our two countries, the most powerful on the Eastern Continent, have been in constant strife, yet neither gained any real advantage. This is partly due to historical factors, but also due to the surrounding nations’ incessant incitement. We have not benefited; instead, our mutual consumption has allowed neighboring countries to develop entirely, with Lirong, Tebatan, and Mosel having conquered many smaller nations. Now, they have become forces we must deal with seriously. If this continues, our countries’ statuses will be continuously eroded, so my father has a very sincere proposal, which is also my mission for this visit, a major assessment for me."
