I Have a Dice Left by a God

Chapter 724: Chapter 316: The Prophecy Approaches
"The purpose of the Hundred Martial Hall is to ensure the Li Long people live well, and the Night Patrol aims to uphold justice and ensure secret security. Would you say our goals align?" Jian Lezhi smiled.
"I’m not sure if the Li Long people are living well, but the Hundred Martial Hall is definitely thriving." Li Xin smiled.
"Li Xin is very perceptive. Indeed, Governor Luthor’s Hundred Martial Hall has ideals and goals, protecting ordinary Beijing people’s interests to the maximum extent, and serving as our means to combat power. However, wealth and power do lead to corruption. Later on, Governor Luthor realized this, hence the division into Inner Hall and Outer Hall. Initially, the Inner Hall was just a small part of the Main Hall, specifically handling secret affairs and punishing traitors. It gradually developed and refined until it reached its current state, capable of counterbalancing the Outer Hall. But..."
"But you’ve found that you can’t fundamentally change the Outer Hall." Li Xin interjected.
Jian Lezhi smiled bitterly, "Yes, honestly, it started a long time ago. We’ve tried to change this situation but found that no matter how hard we work, it’s all in vain. The Hundred Martial Hall started as a guide but has become an oppressor like other forces, and our Inner Hall also enjoys the advantages brought by this exploitation. All we can do now is try not to be disturbed, like the Night Patrol organization, which I still find unbelievable."
"Hall Master Jian, no one is perfect, and neither is any organization. Where there’s an advantageous side, there’s a dark side. Now that Hua Qianzan is dead, can’t the Inner Hall control things?" Li Xin asked.
"We thought it was our opportunity but realized we were wishful thinking. The Outer Hall is deeply tied to the Royal Family and Cabinet, with more intricate entanglements involving the Potter Family, Maxine, and others. Many businesses have hidden shares, involving many people, and this has penetrated to the marrow. Forcibly controlling it would tear the Hundred Martial Hall apart," Jian Lezhi said. "Li Xin, what do you think we should do about this situation?"
Li Xin looked at Jian Lezhi, unsure of her intent, as this deeply intertwined interest left him powerless.
"Hall Master Jian, if there’s a way, it’s ’No destruction, no establishment.’ But with Li Long now, once destroyed, it may bring greater turmoil," Li Xin said. The Hundred Martial Hall still had high prestige among the public compared to other forces; they were relatively better, offering at least a way to survive, though how long it would last, no one knew.
Jian Lezhi eyed Li Xin, "I thought you’d encourage me to clash with the Outer Hall."
"In the current situation, the disadvantages outweigh the benefits." Li Xin didn’t want to, but other forces in Li Long wouldn’t stand idly by.
"Is there no other way?" Jian Lezhi asked disappointedly. The Inner Hall was restraining its impulse to act, mainly due to the inability to assess the pressure from above.
"This is the limitation of this era. From top to bottom is completely impossible, as you know. While bottom-up, objective conditions don’t allow, nor there is a foundation," Li Xin said. Seeing Jian Lezhi unable to hide her disappointment, he found it a bit strange, "But, there’s still a way. Awakening from bottom-up is inevitable, and it’s the trend of the era. The awakening opportunity has actually appeared, just development still takes time, and people’s awakening needs time. We need patience. As for the future, I’m confident we will prevail."
Jian Lezhi looked at Li Xin, thinking for a moment, "Are you referring to the Celestial Principle School? That outsider, why can’t it be the Hundred Martial Hall?"
"Who says the Hundred Martial Hall isn’t? It’s a crucial part, but it needs the guidance of the awakening ideas from the Celestial Principle School. Otherwise, its inherent limitations can’t solve the current issues. To put it bluntly, if it could, it would have done so early on. A new world needs new rules and new understanding aligned with world principles." Li Xin said.
"Really? The Celestial Principle School in Hedan seems quite tragic, not even as good as the Hundred Martial Hall." Jian Lezhi looked at Li Xin, clearly unconvinced, not swayed by his grand rhetoric.
"Hall Master Jian, truth knows no boundaries, nor nationality. I think you must understand the Celestial Principle School to some extent. Traditional organizations and sects essentially gather people territorially, regardless of who they are. But the Celestial Principle School enhances each scholar’s understanding. Consider when people’s general understanding improves, is it more likely to change the current situation? Moreover, the Celestial Principle School grew under Luthor’s influence and continuously absorbed Li Long’s culture upon entering. I believe the Celestial Principle School is the way forward, at least the best visible path now." Li Xin said, "As for failure and setbacks, they are only minor episodes on the path to success. Was the Hundred Martial Hall built in a day?"
Jian Lezhi remained silent for a while, watching the confident Li Xin, somewhat infected by his energy. Yet, to her, the Celestial Principle School was still a fragile, new path. Changing things seemed formidable, "Li Xin, your speech is passionate, somewhat hopeful, but I still can’t see clearly. I’ll bring your proposal back and discuss it with the Hall. If feasible, we are willing to sincerely collaborate with the Celestial Principle School."
"And can we cooperate with the Night Patrol?"
"Haven’t we already started cooperating?" Jian Lezhi blinked.
Li Xin smiled slightly. Both sides had some common goals, but, after all, they belonged to two different factions, maintaining a certain level of caution, which was normal. "With Hua Qianzan dead, what does the Outer Hall plan?"
"Before a new elder is selected, there shouldn’t be any action against the Night Patrol." Jian Lezhi said, "Once chosen, there likely won’t be big conflicts. The main issue is still the profit and influence of the Black Market."
Li Xin was noncommittal, "Do you know who killed Hua Qianzan?"
"There are guesses." Jian Lezhi said, "The core personnel of the Outer Hall may know better, but they don’t dare say, indicating the perpetrator is someone they can’t afford to offend."
"Hall Master Jian, have you considered why that behind-the-scenes boss didn’t hesitate to kill Hua Qianzan given his usefulness, even if he’d made some foolish decisions?" Li Xin asked.
"The Hall discussed it. It’s highly likely their collective plan exceeded Hua Qianzan’s value, and the current view is the Grand Governor’s election." Jian Lezhi said.
"Hall Master Jian seems insincere. Watching Song of Hell for so long, should there be more than superficial aspects." Li Xin gazed at Jian Lezhi, speaking deliberately, "I want to offer some help."
"Li Xin, it’s not that I don’t trust you, but the intelligence we have is not accurate enough, and we don’t dare speculate. Currently, we know multiple singers of Song of Hell have arrived in Dragon Capital, including Life Master singers, seductive woman singers, Curse Master singers, and a Puppet Master singer. There are also some apostles with unknown abilities, except for the local Puppet Master found during our long-term searches. Others are very hard to trace; they are very adept at hiding." Jian Lezhi explained, "Many want to kill them. If they were easily found, Song of Hell wouldn’t be a top travel group."
"Could Song of Hell’s actions be related to the prophecy of Dragon Capital’s Great Disaster?" Li Xin asked.
"It’s possible." Jian Lezhi nodded.
"How did the former Chief Red-robed Archbishop die?" Li Xin inquired further.
Jian Lezhi looked at Li Xin, silent for a long time, shaking her head, "I don’t know. We’d like to know too. But involving the Church Court, our forces can’t penetrate, nor do we dare. ...Li Xin, the Church Court is much more frightening than we can imagine. If not shackled by law, we couldn’t possibly resist. When Governor Luthor introduced the Moon God’s Court, it did integrate Li Long Kingdom and ended the turmoil, but it also allowed the Moon God’s Court to take root in Li Long."
Somehow, both Li Xin and Jian Lezhi felt the chill. In terms of hidden power, the Church Court could easily destroy the Hundred Martial Hall, only restrained by Era Law. If the Hundred Martial Hall dared to infiltrate, once caught, they would suffer greatly. The Inner Hall acted judiciously.
"Li Xin, the prophecy’s time is less than a month away. Although the former Chief didn’t specify the exact timing, a Life Master Great Angel’s prophecy can’t be ignored, which is why this is the Inner Hall’s primary task now."
"If we can’t approach the Church Court, we can only target Song of Hell." Li Xin pondered, knowing Sister Kathy wouldn’t speak much either, clearly avoiding the topic.
"Li Xin, what stance do you think the Church Court has in this matter?" Jian Lezhi queried.
"I’m not sure, but personally, I believe every outcome will ultimately benefit the Church Court. I just can’t figure out what they truly want, or rather, what the Moon God Pope wants." Li Xin answered.
Song of Hell dared to blatantly enter; the Church Court received rumors but took no action, including with Ji Sheng’s issue. During the Council meeting, the Church Court’s attitude was evident as quite perfunctory.
Considering from the Moon God’s Court’s perspective, what premise would lead the Church Court to judge Song of Hell?
