I Have a Countryside Gourmet Restaurant
Chapter 360 - 333: Where to Open the Restaurant?
Chapter 360: Chapter 333: Where to Open the Restaurant?
This time, he got one.
Li You quickly felt a crab and immediately pinned it down.
The moment you feel a crab, you shouldn’t try to grab it directly.
For one, you might not catch it.
For another, the crab might pinch your hand.
The best first move is to quickly pin the crab to the bottom. This gives you a much higher chance of success, and you won’t get pinched.
Once the crab is pinned, you can slowly grip it by the sides of its shell and pull it out of the water.
If it’s tricky to do with one hand, you can use your other hand to help.
His first catch came so quickly. Li You was thrilled.
As he slowly gripped the sides of its shell, he realized, ’This one’s not small at all.’
He pulled it out of the water for a look.
Sure enough.
The carapace was about three centimeters at its widest point, making it slightly larger than the three crabs he’d just caught in the trap.
A size like this was excellent.
Ling Xiaoru and Chu Yiwei both quickly noticed that Li You had made a catch.
Both of them were thrilled.
"It’s a pretty big one! You’re amazing, Boss!" they both exclaimed.
Li You laughed, looking rather pleased with himself. After tossing the crab into the bucket, he said, "You two better get a move on. Try to get your first catch soon."
"Okay!"
Li You went back to it.
He soon had another catch. It was slightly smaller than the last one, but still a decent size.
He kept going.
Before long, Li You had already caught about ten of them.
The gorge was teeming with crabs. As long as you used the right method, catching them was a quick affair.
Just then, Ling Xiaoru finally made her first catch. It was a tiny crab, only about the size of a dime.
A crab that small was definitely not a keeper, but regardless, she had finally gotten on the board.
Ling Xiaoru was still delighted as she let the little crab scuttle around in her palm.
After playing with it for a moment, she tossed the little crab back into the water.
Meanwhile, Chu Yiwei still hadn’t caught a single crab, not even a tiny one.
Li You smiled. ’If he left it to these two, they definitely wouldn’t be eating crab tonight.’
He kept on catching.
After Li You had caught several more, Chu Yiwei finally made her first catch.
It was a decent size, its carapace about two centimeters at its widest point. Though not big, it was edible.
Chu Yiwei was overjoyed.
Li You offered a word of praise, then said, "Keep it up, Teacher Chu."
"Okay."
The three of them continued their search.
A short while later, Ling Xiaoru finally caught a big one too.
It hadn’t been easy.
Ling Xiaoru was equally overjoyed.
Just then, they saw several figures in the distance, walking toward them.
Ling Xiaoru said, "Boss, there are people coming. I wonder if they’re customers from the restaurant?"
Li You replied, "They’re too far away, I can’t see them clearly. Let’s just ignore them for now."
"Okay."
A little later, the figures drew closer. Now their faces were visible.
Li You got a clear look and saw that they were strangers, not customers from his restaurant.
At least, they hadn’t been before.
So he said, "They look unfamiliar. They probably haven’t eaten at the restaurant before. They must be tourists from out of town."
Ling Xiaoru and Chu Yiwei both nodded. It was perfectly normal for people to come here for fun.
The approaching group consisted of eight people, both men and women, all young adults in their twenties and thirties.
They were employees from a hotpot restaurant in Xingshui City.
They had arranged to visit the area together today.
They had read online that there was a place in Changxi County called Jiulong Gorge with stunningly beautiful scenery that was well worth a visit.
It wasn’t too far away, just a little over a two-hour drive to get there.
The idea appealed to all of them, so they decided to come here together today.
They parked their car in the lot of Li You Restaurant.
And so, naturally, they all saw Li You’s restaurant.
They weren’t too surprised to find a restaurant here at first.
’There must be quite a few people who come here to sightsee,’ they thought, ’so a restaurant is normal.’
However, after seeing some of the conditions inside and outside the restaurant, they were rather surprised.
From the outside, the restaurant didn’t seem very large. But upon stepping inside, they found a whole different world.
The space was enormous.
’There must be far more tourists here than we imagined!’
’Otherwise, how could the owner open a place this big?’
And the gardens outside the restaurant were also beautifully crafted.
’If there weren’t many customers and business was bad, why would the owner have the inclination to make the gardens so beautiful?’
Therefore, they all concluded that this place must get a huge number of tourists.
However, on their walk from the restaurant to the gorge, they didn’t run into a single other person.
This surprised them yet again.
It was a weekend, yet they hadn’t encountered a single soul. ’This can only mean that very few people actually come here to visit,’ they thought.
’Perhaps people only come here occasionally.’
’It seems this place is just too far from the city after all. What a waste of such gorgeous scenery.’
They were pleasantly surprised and very satisfied with the scenery. It was just as beautiful as the online posts had claimed—truly worth the trip.
But that wasn’t the main point right now.
The main point was, if there were so few tourists, why was there a restaurant like that at the mouth of the gorge?
’This trickle of tourists could never support a restaurant that size!’
’Could it be that the main tourist route is a different one?’
’But the scenery along this path is so beautiful. Even if it isn’t the main route, there shouldn’t be absolutely no one here!’
They all found it extremely strange.
Just then, they all spotted three people in the distance, standing in a shallow part of the gorge.
Their eyes all lit up. They had finally seen someone.
