Chapter 412: Plan For future And For Absolute Victory

Chapter 412: Plan For future And For Absolute Victory

“So yeah… that’s pretty much it,” Razeal concluded with a small, almost indifferent nod, as if he had just summarized something inconvenient rather than something utterly catastrophic, his tone lacking any drama despite the magnitude of what he had just said, and that calmness alone made everything feel heavier, more real.

“What…?” Maria blinked, her brows pulling together as she tried to process his words, her mind almost instinctively rejecting them before they could fully settle, “Gods? Heavens?” She shook her head slowly, confusion and disbelief mixing together as she looked at him..

“What are you even saying?” Her voice carried a strained edge now, as if her thoughts were scrambling to find something logical to hold onto, because this this wasn’t something she wanted to understand, not something she could easily accept, not when it sounded this… impossible.

Sofia, however, reacted differently. She didn’t question it out loud. She didn’t try to argue against it immediately. She simply… went silent. Completely silent. Her eyes, which had already been distant before, seemed to lose even more focus, as if her thoughts had been pulled into something far deeper and darker than before, because when Razeal had said he found a way… for a brief moment just a brief moment she had allowed herself to believe there might actually be one.

But now… now that he explained what that “way” actually was… that fragile hope collapsed instantly.

“What… what’s even the difference between this and impossible then?” She suddenly said as her fingers curled slightly at her sides, Fight the heavens…? fight gods…? supreme gods…? change the cosmic order itself…? Her head moved faintly, a subtle, almost unconscious shake as if trying to deny it,

“No… Thats” she murmured under her breath, her voice barely audible, “…Thats just…” She couldn’t even finish the sentence. Because she didn’t have a word for it.

Maria, on the other hand, refused to stay in that state. “No no, it’s not like that,” she said quickly, almost immediately stepping forward, her tone shifting into something more forceful, more urgent, as if she was trying to pull the situation back into something solvable..

“We can figure something out.” Her eyes locked onto Razeal, determination replacing confusion, “Gods? They can’t be that powerful, right?” She shook her head again, almost stubbornly, “And wait.. I thought the Empress was the strongest person in the world.” Her voice rose slightly, as if trying to ground the situation in what she knew..

“…You’re joking, right?” There was a slight tremor in her tone now, not from weakness but from refusal to accept the alternative, “There’s no way… no one can be above her.” She took another step forward, her hands tightening slightly, “…they can’t even come close to her.” And then, almost as if convincing herself, she added quickly, “And even if she is a problem we can deal with her.” Her words came faster now, thoughts racing ahead of logic..

“We can plan, we can prepare… we can figure out a way to kill her if needed…” She stumbled slightly over her own reasoning, “…I.. I don’t know, but we can definitely do something.” Her gaze didn’t waver from his, “…we’re not completely hopeless.”

Razeal watched her quietly, seeing exactly what she was doing trying to create hope where there wasn’t any, trying to reshape reality into something manageable but he still simply shook his head calmly, not harshly, not dismissively, just… truthfully. “Yeah… she’s strong,” he said simply, “…but not at that level.” His tone remained steady, “There are beings… she can’t even touch.”

“yeah she’s the strongest in this world.” His gaze sharpened just a little, “But the heavens?” He shook his head again.

Maria immediately rejected it again.

“No.. no way,” she insisted, her voice rising again as disbelief took over, “She has like thousands of bloodlines maybe even hundreds of thousands.” Her eyes widened slightly as she listed it out..

“…I don’t even know if there’s a bloodline in existence she doesn’t have.” She looked at him almost incredulously, “How can anything be stronger than that?” Her voice tightened..

“Like that’s just the most broken power there is.. Right??”

Razeal exhaled faintly, tilting his head slightly as if trying to find a way to explain it in terms she could understand, “It’s not just about abilities,” he said calmly, “Thats not what defines that level.”

He paused briefly, “And actually… she could reach it.”

Maria blinked. “…what?”

“She could be stronger,” he continued,

“But she’s not.” His tone remained neutral, “She’s holding herself back.”

“Not just her actually… But her entire bloodline.” He exhaled softly. “If they didn’t… then maybe… yeah, she might’ve reached that level.”

“So yeah she isn’t that powerful when it really comes to that level of powerhouse i be going against.”

He said.

Which only made Maria pause for a second but instead of shutting down, her mind immediately started working again, trying to find a new angle, a new solution, and then suddenly her expression shifted.

“Wait,” she said, her eyes lighting up slightly as something clicked, “Wait.. yes.” She nodded quickly, stepping forward again, her voice gaining momentum, “From what you’re saying… the Empress isn’t even your real problem.” Her gaze sharpened, “Your fight and real problem is with gods, right?”

Razeal didn’t interrupt.

“Then what if…” she continued, her voice now filled with a sudden surge of hope, “What if we bring her to our side?” She leaned forward slightly, her eyes almost shining now as the idea formed fully..

“What if we make her unlock that potential whatever it is? Make her become what she could be?” Her breathing picked up slightly, excitement and desperation mixing together, “If she reaches that level…” She gestured outward..

“Our chances go up, right?” She nodded rapidly, convincing herself as she spoke, “And not just her if she stands with us, she’ll bring others too.” Her lips parted slightly, “Other powerhouses… alliances… resources…” A faint, hopeful smile appeared..

“Its a win-win.” She looked directly at him now, almost searching for agreement, “…what do you think?”

And for a moment… it felt like she had found something. Something that could work. Something that wasn’t pure despair. But then..

“No.” Razeal’s response was immediate. Simple. Absolute. And just like that everything collapsed again.

“What…?” Maria’s expression faltered instantly, confusion returning stronger than before..

“Why?” She shook her head quickly, unable to understand, “Wait.. I know it might feel wrong to you because of your situation with her…” Her voice softened slightly, trying to reason with him, “But survival comes first.” Her brows furrowed.. “Even if you have to rely on your enemies.”

Razeal though just shook his head again. “Thats not the reason.”

And that only made her more confused. “Then what is?” she asked, her voice sharper now, frustration creeping in, “Why reject it completely?”

And then Razeal answered. “Freedom.”

Just one word. Calm. Uncomplicated. And that… confused her even more.

“What?” Maria blinked, staring at him, unable to connect the answer to the question at all.

Razeal shook his head slowly, almost as if he had expected this exact confusion from her, his expression calm yet faintly resigned as he looked at Maria, “You see… there are is so much stronger you can get without paying a price.. Therrnus different kinds, Types and level of strength,” he began, his tone steady, measured, like he was laying out something fundamental rather than arguing a point. “And some asks for some scarfice and price. And as certain level of strength you cross..”

“Well just know.. Power doesn’t always give you freedom and power only..” He leaned back slightly in his chair, his crimson eyes holding a quiet depth as he continued, “If you’re too weak… then yes, you might have a kind of freedom because no one cares enough to bind you, to control you.” His lips curved faintly, not in amusement but in a bitter understanding..

“You’re insignificant… so you’re free.” He paused briefly, letting that settle before continuing, “But once you reach the middle… once you become strong enough to matter, but not strong enough to break everything…” His gaze sharpened slightly.

“Thats when freedom disappears completely.” His fingers tapped lightly against the armrest, “That’s when people start controlling you… using you… placing responsibilities, expectations, obligations…” He tilted his head, “…you become a tool.” A faint pause. “No freedom.” His voice remained calm, almost detached.

“And then… when you rise even higher,” he continued, “To the very top of this world…” His eyes flickered slightly, “…you get a little freedom again.” A small shrug followed.

“Because no one in this world can really stand against you anymore.” He glanced at Maria

“And thats where the Empress stands.” His tone held no admiration, just acknowledgment.

“She’s above everyone here… untouchable, in a way.”

Maria nodded faintly, instinctively following that logic, but before she could say anything

Razeal continued. “But you’re thinking that means she has absolute freedom, right?” he asked, and without waiting for an answer, he shook his head again, “Thats where you’re wrong.” His voice lowered slightly, gaining weight..

“Because the level she needs to reach next…” A brief pause. “Thats level above this world… that’s where freedom disappears again.”

“At that level… you don’t just deal with people anymore.” His gaze steadied, “…you deal with laws.”

“Chosmic laws and once you reach that point… you get bound by them.” His tone remained calm, but there was something almost bitter beneath it

“completely bound.” A faint shrug followed, “like the gods.” He leaned back again

“No freedom.” And then, almost casually, he added, “So yeah… just understand one thing.” His lips curved slightly, “This world is hypocritical.” His gaze flickered between them

“Its laws… its order… whatever you want to call it…” Another small shrug, “…it’s all the same.”

Sofia, who had been standing silently to the side, closed her eyes slowly as he spoke, her expression tightening just slightly not in disagreement, but in recognition, as if every word he said was something she already knew deep down but never wanted to face so directly, and she gave a faint nod, almost imperceptible, acknowledging the truth in it.

Maria, however, stood there completely still, her brows furrowed deeply, her mind struggling to fully grasp what he was saying, because it didn’t align with anything she had believed before it wasn’t just confusing, it was unsettling.

And then Razeal added something that shifted the tension again. “And yeah…” he said casually, “I wasn’t planning to take her help anyway.”

Maria blinked. “…what?” “Because she could end up being in my way,” he continued, his tone unchanged, as if this was a simple consideration, “I don’t know how things will unfold.” His gaze moved between both of them.

“I don’t know who my enemies will be in the future.” A brief pause. “It could even be you two of you.” He said with a shrug even a little chuckle

“No, it won’t,” Maria said immediately, her voice sharp, almost instinctive, stepping forward slightly as she shook her head firmly, “It will never happen.” Her eyes locked onto his, unwavering..

“I would never stand against you.” She glanced briefly toward Sofia, as if expecting agreement, then looked back at him again, more firmly, “Never.”

Razeal watched her for a second, then gave a small, almost indifferent shrug, “Thats not always in your control.” His tone remained calm, not dismissive, just factual, “But it’s good to hear.”

Sofia finally opened her eyes then, taking a slow breath before stepping slightly forward, her expression composed again, though the depth of what she had just processed still lingered beneath it, “I’m with you.” Her voice was steady, firm, leaving no room for doubt..

“You’re my husband, after all.” Her gaze held his, as if silently questioning how he could even consider otherwise, and for a brief moment, there was something softer beneath her seriousness something protective.

Maria, standing just beside her, caught that word ’husband’ and her expression flickered slightly, her eyes shifting briefly toward Sofia from the corner before she quickly looked away again, her lips pressing together as she chose not to react, not to show anything, forcing her focus back onto what mattered right now.

“Alright…” she said after a moment, her voice steadier now as she pushed those emotions down, “Then tell me.” She looked directly at Razeal, serious again.

“So tell me the ways.” Her eyes narrowed slightly, “Tell me you’re actually trying to win this… not just survive it.” There was something almost demanding in her tone now, “Tell me you’re not giving up.. Because no you are not.”

Razeal looked at her for a second, then leaned back slightly, his posture relaxing just a little as if the answer he was about to give was something he had already settled within himself.

“The first step…” he said calmly, “Is to change the world’s perception of me.” Both of them blinked.

“Like what?” Sofia asked first, her brows knitting together as confusion replaced her earlier seriousness, “What do you mean by that?”

Razeal looked at both of them, completely unbothered, “Right now… the world hates me.” He spoke it like a simple fact, “Most people do.” His gaze lowered slightly before returning, “…and even those who don’t… eventually will.”

Maria frowned, “Why?”

He gave a small shrug, “Because that’s how the world is designed to see me.” His tone remained neutral, “Even people who don’t know me or ever even heard about me…” He paused, “Their first impression will always be negative.” Another shrug, “Automatically .”

Sofia’s expression tightened slightly, “That doesn’t make sense.”

“It doesn’t have to,” Razeal replied simply, “Maybe it’s just how fate justifies itself.” A brief pause. “If I’m meant to be a ’divine villain’…” His lips curved faintly, “Then the world needs to see me that way.”

Silence followed.

“But I figured something out,” he continued, leaning forward slightly now, his tone gaining a subtle edge of intent, “…a way around it.”

Both of them watched him closely.

“If I can change that perception…” he said, “…if I can make people see me differently…” His eyes sharpened..

“Not just neutral” “But positive.” “favourable.” A pause. “To the point where they like me.”

“Or even love me.” The idea itself sounded absurd and yet, he said it with complete seriousness.

“On a global scale,” he added. Silence. Heavy.

“Then I can step out of that role.” His tone remained steady, “Out of this destiny.” Sofia and Maria just stared at him. “As far as I understand it atleast..”

“I mean there has to be a reason why gods care so much about their image.. Right?” His lips curved faintly again, “Why they want to be worshipped… loved… believed in.” He shrugged lightly

“Its definitely not just ego.” Another pause. “There definitely something behind it.” And then he leaned back again, completely composed.. “And that’s what I’m going to use.”

Neither of them spoke for a moment. Because the scale of what he was saying… finally began to sink in.

“The whole world?” Maria whispered faintly, her voice almost disbelieving as she looked at him. Sofia didn’t even speak. She just stared.

Because for the first time… this didn’t just sound impossible. It sounded… terrifyingly impossible. like absolutely Impossible type
