Chapter 593: Retreat!

Chapter 593: Retreat!

“Let’s get going.” Horan said, watching the sphere of lightning on his palm flicker out of existence, “I’ve already informed the concerned authorities about everything. They’ll take care of this place.”

“There are around 600 kilometres to our destination. We have to get moving now if we don’t wish to delay.” He said, “I know someone with a flying type Magic Beast that can take us to the destination quickly.”

“Alright,” Compass Carburettor nodded. But, he didn’t simply follow Horan, aware that things might go wrong if they took their time to get to their destination.

There was a good chance Gehera’s mother might be sacrificed in whatever the secret organisation was planning.

And hence, he took action, sending a Dragon Bullet into the Advisory, suddenly causing Teto’s figure to appear in his mind.

This confused him, for the figure he recalled was someone he didn’t know about. The Advisory only frowned for a moment before ignoring it, thinking that it was just one of those images the brain created from time to time.

But, what he wasn’t aware of was the fact that when Teto’s image appeared in his mind, for that instant, he was thinking about Teto, resulting in a Mental Energy stream that landed on Compass Carburettor.

Compass Carburettor absorbed the thoughts in this Mental Energy stream, grabbing hold of the emotion of confusion first.

After condensing them, he condensed a Dragon Bullet out of it and slammed it into the Advisory, causing him to feel confused more than usual.

Immediately after, the Advisory couldn’t help but think of the secret organisation, wondering if everything was alright there, ‘Did I miss something? No, I heeded all the orders. Am I aging too much?’

Due to the heightening of his state of confusion, the Advisory began to think about many things. And, all of them generated Mental Energy streams. The Dragon Bullet in his mind travelled through one of the Mental Energy streams, directed at the base of the hidden organisation, entering the mind of someone there.

In this manner, the Dragon Bullet arrived at the destination easily. It then unleashed a Mental Energy stream towards Compass Carburettor. And through this channel, Compass Carburettor sent out a large Dragon Bullet.

The majority of his power was sent away through this Dragon Bullet that entered the mind of the person in the hidden organisation’s base.

Teto accompanied Horan, leaving the back alleys as they approached a certain noble’s house where they rented out a flying type Magic Beast, setting off in the direction of the hidden organisation.

Even though Teto accompanied Horan and Gehera, he was only a shallow form of his former self, having split most of his power to the Dragon Bullet.

If he and Horan were to fight now, he would lose in a few moves.

But, that didn’t matter, for Compass Carburettor considered Horan to be a clean-up party. And before the group arrived, he planned to take care of the situation, especially since he was curious about the nature of Gehera’s Personal Fragment.

“Turkatun! Come help me here. We need to make all the necessary preparations for the ceremony before daybreak!” A man’s voice resounded with a sense of urgency.

The man addressed as Turkatun nodded in response, hurrying as he carried a bunch of materials, taking off into the air as he hopped towards the destination.

Turkatun was a Master Wind Warrior, currently taking part in the transportation of materials using his strength and mobility as a Wind Warrior.

“Dammit, they’re really driving us like slaves.” He grunted in annoyance, feeling a tad tired; he had been running nonstop for a day already. He then thought of his superior, scowling mentally, ‘One day, I’ll climb up the ranks. Just you wait.’

The moment he thought of his superior, the Dragon Bullet waiting in his mind jumped into the generated Mental Energy stream, swimming through it to the destination in an instant, carried by the Mental Energy stream itself.

It then entered the mind of the superior, a youthful-looking woman from the Giant Race, named Guremma. She almost reached a height of five metres, hulking over everyone, exhibiting the aura of a Grandmaster Manipulator.

She was the one in charge of a variety of operations, currently standing before a Birdmen Pseudo-Saint that was giving instructions.

The Birdmen Pseudo-Saint was a Doctor, sporting a content smile as he spoke, “Tentuna City will take action now. They’ll raid Buhan City in an hour. And at the same time, Ampor City would invade the Xerusi City.”

Tentuna City and Xerusi City were both border cities of the Xetuka Kingdom that were located close to the Burnak Kingdom. And similarly, both Buhan City and Ampor City were border cities of the Burnak Kingdom that were located close to the Xetuka Kingdom.

With two cities on either side raiding one another, a war would indeed erupt between the two kingdoms. And shockingly, the authorities of all four cities were part of the secret organisation, one that called itself the Talon Secret Organisation.

The moment he heard their discussion, Compass Carburettor was alarmed, ‘Wait, does this mean…?’

Horan had been informing the authorities of the Tentuna City of what they had found out. And if the authorities were already part of the secret organisation, it meant that all their plans were already divulged to their enemies.

‘Shit!’ The Dragon Bullet was alarmed as it sent out a Mental Energy stream to Teto, informing him of everything. Unfortunately, it was already too late.

“What about the group that chanced upon our plans?” Guremma asked right at this time.

“Oh them?” The Birdmen Pseudo-Saint Doctor smiled in response, “They should be under attack by now.”

“We should retreat!” Teto shouted all of a sudden, turning around as the Magic Beast they were travelling upon crossed Tentuna City, moving over a nearby hill when suddenly, a portal appeared before it.

A beam of fire blasted out of the portal, with enough power to set the hill on fire, razing the forest that covered its surface into dust. The bird-type Magic Beast couldn’t even let out a cry before it was vaporised.

Boom!

Followed by a flicker of lightning, Horan arrived at the ground, gazing solemnly as held in each of his hand was Teto and Gehera respectively. A thin stream of blood leaked out of his nose as he stared at the sky, watching a figure emerge out of the portal slowly, brimming with the power of a Saint.
