I Hate Systems

Chapter 581: An Exchange of Benefits

Chapter 581: An Exchange of Benefits

‘Hmm?’ Stencil frowned when all eyes fell on her. Even though they were aware that she was just a newcomer System Slayer, they were curious as to what she might present.

After all, they would know whether or not she was serious about this group just based on this. It couldn’t be helped, since System Slayers originated from various worlds, with each world having its own common sense and mindset.

So, only by knowing her stance on the matter could the System Slayers interact with Stencil in the future.

After all, the System Slayers in this group, when chancing upon each other in another world, would try to help one another or even team up to increase their benefits.

Even at present, the gift exchange was another means to share benefits. They gifted Aronaut with System Fragments and as result, obtained his favour.

And they would indeed use up this favour within the upcoming decade. Aronaut too was aware of this, readying himself to travel into various worlds to repay the favours to the System Slayers. And, if the gift they gave wasn’t good enough, the favour too won’t be anything noteworthy.

At present, everyone was just curious to see what type of gift would Stencil present Aronaut with.

It would show her stance on the matter. Stencil too was giving some thought about this. After all, her goal was to join this circle and unearth more information from this.

With it being the oldest circle among System Slayers, the records of their battle against the Systems would be the most detailed, not to mention the resources that they had gathered. Just the sheer number of System Fragments that they could gather would be enormous.

And, it seemed that Slayer had experimented a lot with System Fragments and Personal Fragments. Moreover, when the System Slayers presented a System Fragment, Slayer waved his hand, allowing Aronaut to accept them.

Her dad had told her before that he was only able to have six System Fragments on him. That was the limit.

But now, right before her eyes, Aronaut accepted almost a hundred System Fragments and didn’t even seem like he had hit any limit of sorts. This puzzled her at the same time, and also excited her.

After all, it meant that there was a lot for her to know about regarding System Fragments. It would allow her to help her dad better.

But, this was where her thoughts came down to a halt. After all, Stencil didn’t have anything worthy of gifting. Anything valuable on her could easily be traced back to her dad, allowing the fact of the Main Character being alive to spread around.

So, she couldn’t do that. But at the same time, if she were to gift something without any value, she wouldn’t be able to take advantage of Aronaut’s favour.

Hearing that a System Slayer could reach Level 99 was shocking in itself, especially since he only remained a System Slayer and hadn’t become the Main Character.

After all, before Compass Carburettor had become the Main Character, there was none in that position. And, any True System Slayer that reached Level 50 and above had the qualifications to become the Main Character.

So, it puzzled her as to how they remained System Slayers. Including Slayer, seven System Slayers had reached Level 99. And, Stencil was able to sense dozens of System Slayers that were above Level 50, confusing her.

‘I’ll find out their secret.’ Thinking as such, she planned to buy a valuable item from the Astral Network to serve as a gift. But after a moment of thought, she refrained from doing anything that would make her stand out so much, deciding to gift something of this world itself.

Thinking as such, she took out the Tukkan Crystal that she had refined using her Coordinate state, placing it on the table as she said, “I don’t have much, but I chanced upon this treasure recently. I hope you like this, Senior Aronaut.”

“This is…?” Aronaut’s eyes widened in surprise as he muttered, “Is this really a Tukkan Crystal?”

“Hmm, its purity has reached such a high level that we can’t call it the Tukkan Crystal anymore. If you were to make a Relic using this Tukkan Crystal, you’ll have an easier time forming imprints on it. The imprints would also be clearer than usual, too clear in fact that it might cause some troubles. But all in all, you can create a superior Relic.” Slayer commented.

Upon hearing his thoughts on it, Aronaut was happy to obtain such a beneficial item. After all, he could easily create a Relic with his powers. And considering the number of System Fragments he obtained now, he could use the Systems to form mental imprints on the Relic and strengthen it quickly.

Smiling in response, Aronaut looked at Stencil with an amicable attitude, “If you need something, tell me. I have plenty of treasures lying around in my storage.”

“Then…” Stencil acted like she hesitated for a minute before asking, “Do you have a Pseudo-Relic of the Demon race, especially the one with the power of the Principal Arbiter?”

“Principal Arbiter…?” Aronaut thought for a moment, saying, “They are rare even among the Demons. But don’t worry. Give me a month. I’ll get you one.”

“Thank you!” Stencil smirked in response, happy with the transaction.

Among the various professions that she came to know about, she was the most curious about the Demon Race’s Principal Arbiter. And hence, possessing a Pseudo-Relic of the same would be beneficial.

“It’s hard to wield the powers of another race’s Relic.” Wayna said as she looked at Stencil, “Since you’re part of the human race, obtaining a Relic suitable to your race is better.”

“Yes, that’s true.” Slayer interjected, “But, there are ways to circumvent this restriction. Some of our Slayers have Relics that aren’t part of their race.”

“But teacher, they can only do that by making the Relic their Personal Fragment, right?” Wayna said, “So, Yaka won’t be able to use this Pseudo-Relic.”

“Even otherwise, the Pseudo-Relic might prove useful to her. After all, you know how strong a Principal Arbiter can become, right?” Slayer smiled, watching everyone nod in response.

Upon noticing Stencil’s confusion, his lips curled up, informing her, “You see, it’s because of the first Main Character.”

“He was a Principal Arbiter.”
