I Hate Systems

Chapter 439-440: I’ve Regressed?

Chapter 439-440: I’ve Regressed?

“I’ve regressed into a cultivation MC?” Compass Carburettor felt offended for the first time, muttering in disdain, “I’m on Ranze’s level now?”

“Well, not that worse…” The Perfect Timing System trailed off before stating, “But you’re close and you’ll continue to fall before eventually, you’ll become nothing more than a cultivation world MC with harem tendencies.”

“But, you don’t have to worry.” It grinned all of a sudden, “You’ll die before you fall that low.”

“Courting Death! I had eyes, but failed to see Mount Tai!” The Perfect Timing System bellowed all of a sudden, “Such words would eventually leak out of your mouth.”

“I’ll gloat when that happens.” The Perfect Timing System roared in laughter as Compass Carburettor waved his hand, unleashing Mental Destruction as he killed it, surprised at his actions as he looked at his hands that he had waved just now, “It seems I’m indeed regressing.”

“I see, so this is how they’re planning to deal with me.” He sighed.

What was the Main Character? Why was he addressed as The Main Character instead of A Main Character?

Someone that became the centre of a world, no matter what world it was, what state it was, or where it was. That was the Main Character.

But now, if he was slowly becoming more and more like a cultivation world Main Character, it meant that he was losing the traits of the Main Character from an apocalypse, technological, magical, mystical, fantasy worlds.

That was indeed a regression of his traits. Besides, cultivation world Main Characters were typically known for their strong powers and not for their thought process, which truthfully be told…was kindergarten grade.

Rare few broke that mould and reached…middle-school grade.

If not for their heaven-defying luck, such characters would die a death worse than an ant’s fodder.

Even though Ranze was better in that regard, it was only because he was a middle-aged man in a child’s body. Once he became an adult, he wouldn’t be any different from an average youth from an intellectual perspective. Maybe he’ll be slightly superior thanks to originating from an information-oriented world like Earth.

But the fact that he was compared to Ranze indeed triggered Compass Carburettor. Who was he on Earth? He was pretty much the top of the world chain there.

Even if he had been pretty much carried by the Money-Making System, the current him, despite losing the Skill of Intelligence, still had the confidence in reaching the same height.

The only difference would be that he would take around 30 years instead of twenty to do so.

Sighing, he gazed at the empty mind of Holla, noticing a mysterious radiance in the centre, seeing two spheres riddled with needles pointed outward.

Coordinates!

“So, they indeed manifest even here.” He smiled in response, slowly pulling the Coordinates through the mental bridge between him and Holla, bringing it into his mind.

Boom!

It felt like a bolt of lightning struck his mind as for a moment, Compass Carburettor saw three planets before him.

Earth, Darble World, and Apocalypse World!

Currently, they were chained, fully sealed. The two Coordinates vanished into the Apocalypse World before Compass Carburettor was ejected out of his mind.

He sighed, because this was the first time he was able to access his mind space after the Restriction Order had been activated.

After that one second, he was unable to see the three worlds anymore. But in contrast, he was excited, “Yes, they are perfectly fine!”

In that short moment, he was able to connect to his Dimensional Space, gazing at the figure of Stencil within. And surprisingly, she had woken up.

Moreover, in the short moment he looked at her, she seemed to have sensed his gaze, tearing up with a longing expression.

His eyes reddened as Compass Carburettor grinned foolishly, “As expected of my brave daughter! Even at such an age, she can take care of…herself…!”

He pressed his palms on his face, covering his crying face, “Ahh, I miss you!”

A minute later, he sniffed, wiping his tears, chuckling, “She’s fine. She woke up. My daughter’s not in danger anymore.”

“Thank you for your efforts, Gana.” He gently patted himself, inhaling deeply as he exhaled with force, laughing aloud for a couple of seconds.

After that, he calmed down, slowly picking himself up as he clenched his hand into a fist, “Absorbing those two Coordinates has strengthened me further. But due to the Restriction Order, those changes haven’t been reflected. Anyway, once the restriction vanishes, I’ll be a lot stronger.”

That wasn’t all. Compass Carburettor also noticed that his innate luck had begun to recover. Albeit slow, it was recovering, allowing him to sigh in relief. Unlike before when he had to do something disadvantageous to the System Hosts right under their gaze to barely increase his innate luck, it recovered naturally now.

And this was because he absorbed the Coordinates from two Luck Systems.

Compass Carburettor then gazed at the bodies of Velcorn and Holla that were both in a vegetative state, thinking of something as he opened the cage and touched their bodies, planting a Blood Vitality Grass in each.

But unlike what he did normally, he commanded them to grow without restraint.

Within a few seconds, the bodies of Velcorn and Holla shrivelled up rapidly as a Blood Vitality Grass sprouted out of them. Within a minute, even their bones were used as nutrients to fuel their growth as their bodies practically vanished, leaving behind two Blood Vitality Grass.

“Hmm…” He frowned, noticing that there was something different about the two Blood Vitality Grass before him. Unlike a Blood Vitality Grass that was crimson in colour, there was an outline of black in this, not to mention this black outline being riddled with glitters resembling stars in the night sky.

“Isn’t this…?” He was surprised, taking out a Mental Energy energy blade sphere from his storage bracelet, comparing the two to see that they were almost the same.

Rather, the outline of the new variety of Blood Vitality Grass seemed to be…superior?

‘If it’s like this…’ Compass Carburettor thought, placing one Blood Vitality Grass over the other, commanding one to devour the other.

He noticed that not only did its shade of crimson darken, but the jet-black outline widened. It was not to mention the glitter on it brightening further. Upon seeing the changes, he smiled, “Only one way to find out!”
