Chapter 327: 327:Milestone.

The next was a flesh recovery medicine, then something designed for muscular damage.

He found another container meant for bone recovery, although he hesitated before taking it. His bones were no longer broken according to the system, and unnecessarily mixing medicines wasn’t something he wanted to do simply because he had them available. Also his bones were naturally strong because of the iron bone skill, or he would have broken everything in the fall.

Silver opened his status instead.

"Show current injuries."

The system responded immediately.

[Current Physical Assessment]

[Major skeletal fractures: Repaired.]

[Residual skeletal trauma: Moderate.]

[Muscular damage: Moderate.]

[Internal tissue damage: Minor ~ Recovering.]

[External wounds: Minor ~ Two partially reopened.]

[Physical fatigue: High.]

[Mental fatigue: Moderate.]

[Recommended: Rest, hydration, caloric intake and controlled medicinal support.]

Silver stared at the final line.

"Controlled medicinal support. That’s unusually responsible advice from something that happily sells me everything I click on."

The system didn’t respond.

Silver smiled faintly and picked up the flesh recovery medicine.

He applied the clotting agent to the wound reopened during the burrower fight, then took the recommended dosage of the recovery medicine instead of swallowing everything he had.

The taste was unpleasant enough to make him grimace, but within a few minutes a faint warmth began spreading through his body.

He leaned back.

Silver removed one of the emergency meals from storage and opened it. The food still wasn’t particularly impressive, but hunger made complaints pointless.

He ate slowly while looking toward the tunnel. Every few bites, his eyes moved toward the darkness.

He eventually pulled out his phone but it was still useless. He checked the network indicator anyway and attempted an emergency call.

The phone searched for a while but still failed.

Silver lowered it.

He’d known it wouldn’t work. Apparently that wasn’t going to stop him from trying every few hours. He looked at the contact list.

Ravenna’s name was near the top.

Silver stared at it longer than necessary.

"You’re probably furious with me." He smiled slightly. "Hopefully furious."

Anger meant she was functioning and alive. Silver was far more comfortable imagining Ravenna screaming at him for staying behind than imagining her sitting somewhere believing he’d died.

He locked the phone.

The moment the screen went dark, a familiar notification appeared before his eyes.

[System Notification.]

Silver stopped chewing.

The message wasn’t related to his injuries. Another notification appeared underneath it.

[Emotional Monitoring Status Updated.]

Silver’s expression immediately changed. He put the food down.

"Ravenna?"

The system continued.

[Target: Ravenna Arkland.]

[Previous Condition: Emotional Overload.]

[Current Condition: Emotional activity has returned within measurable parameters.]

[Standard Affection Detection functions partially restored.]

Silver stared at the screen.

For several seconds, relief hit him before he even understood what the notification actually meant.

The system could detect her, that alone mattered.

The last information he’d received about Ravenna before losing consciousness had been practically useless. Her emotions had become so chaotic that the system temporarily suspended its normal affection reading.

Numbers had risen and fallen unpredictably, moving through ranges he’d never seen from her before, while fear, anger, desperation and other emotions overlapped until the system itself apparently decided that trying to assign one number to everything was pointless.

Now it could read her again.

Silver immediately spoke.

"Show me her affection."

The screen flickered.

[Request received.]

Then another message appeared.

[Precise Affection value currently unavailable.]

Silver’s relief stalled.

"What do you mean unavailable? You just told me affection detection was restored."

[Correction: Standard Affection Detection functions have been partially restored.]

[Target emotional state remains unstable.]

[Multiple high-intensity emotional responses continue to overlap.]

[Current data cannot be represented accurately through a singular numerical Affection value.]

Silver frowned.

"Is she in danger?"

There was a brief pause.

[Insufficient information.]

Silver’s jaw tightened.

"Can you tell me where she is?"

[No.]

"Can you tell me whether she’s injured?"

[No.]

"Can you tell me whether she’s still in Death Row Valley?"

[No.]

Silver stared at the screen.

"You are remarkably useless whenever I actually need something."

The system naturally didn’t defend itself.

Silver rubbed his face. At least Ravenna’s emotions were no longer completely beyond measurement, that had to mean something. He tried approaching the problem differently.

"Can you tell me whether the emotional overload is getting better or worse?"

This time the system answered.

[Current emotional stability has improved compared to the previous recorded state.]

Silver’s shoulders relaxed slightly.

"That’s something."

He leaned back against the wall.

Whatever had happened after she escaped, Ravenna was calmer now than she’d been immediately after the collapse.

That didn’t tell him where she was. It didn’t tell him whether Antony had gotten her to the observation center. It didn’t tell him whether she’d followed his instructions and headed toward Alpha Three.

But it was better than nothing.

Silver picked up his food again. He barely managed another bite before the system interrupted him a second time.

[Relationship System Notification.]

Silver stopped.

"What now?"

The screen expanded.

[Significant Relationship Milestone Progress Detected.]

[Target: Ravenna Arkland.]

[Existing relationship milestone conditions have advanced.]

Silver blinked.

"Milestone?"

[Confirmed.]

"Which milestone?"

The system paused as it processed.

Silver waited, then...

[Detailed milestone information temporarily unavailable.]

Silver stared in disbelief.

"You’re joking."

No response.

"You can tell me I’ve progressed a milestone, but you can’t tell me what the milestone is?"

[Correct.]

Silver slowly lowered the meal.

"Why?"

[Target’s emotional data remains partially unstable.]

[Current relationship state contains multiple overlapping emotional factors.]

[Final milestone classification pending emotional stabilization.]

Silver read the explanation twice but it didn’t become more helpful.

"So something happened."

[Confirmed.]

"What happened?"

[Insufficient information.]

Silver closed his eyes.

"Of course."

Another notification appeared before he could complain further.

[Milestone Progress Reward Calculated.]

That got his attention. Silver opened his eyes.

The system continued.

[Reward Issued: +2,500 Affection Points.]

Silver froze.

He stared at the number as though he had seen the light.

Two thousand five hundred.

His expression slowly changed.

"Wait." He sat straighter. "Two thousand five hundred?"

[Confirmed.]

Silver immediately opened his AP balance. The number that had looked painfully miserable earlier was gone.

He had gone from nearly bankrupt after buying the Tier Three space cores and survival supplies to suddenly possessing more points than he’d expected to see for quite some time.

Silver stared, his eyes widening before bursting into laughter thathurt his ribs. He stopped laughing and held his side.

"Ow. Still worth it."

The rewards weren’t finished.

[Additional Milestone Progress Reward Issued.]

[Mental Restoration Capsule ×1.]

A small description appeared beneath it.

[Mental Restoration Capsule]

[Grade: Advanced Consumable.]

[Effect: Rapidly restores mental fatigue and assists recovery from ability-related cognitive strain.]

[Additional Effect: Temporarily improves resistance against mental overload during recovery period.]
