“Hmph!”

Faced with Yao Ming’s complaints, Yao Heng haughtily turned her head away. Then she turned around and affectionately circled Xiao Shou.

“Master, don’t pay attention to that stinking, flashy flower who would rather die than stop showing off. Hurry inside and recover!”

“Uh, all right.”

After having witnessed such a vicious way for members of the same species to treat one another for the first time, Xiao Shou felt cold sweat trickling down his back. He quickly agreed and vanished into Yao Heng’s internal space.

He completely forgot about Tushan Shanhe, who had remained silent and refrained from objecting only because Xiao Shou had signaled him to do so. Tushan Shanhe had been waiting for Xiao Shou to give him an explanation, only for Xiao Shou to disappear in the blink of an eye.

Tushan Shanhe’s expression immediately darkened. Gritting his teeth in anger, he flew off to an unknown location to recover his depleted strength. After all, although Fu Young had neutralized the immortal power remaining in his body and healed his injuries, he hadn’t restored the energy he had expended

After leaving Tushan Shanhe to recover on his own, Xiao Shou wasted no time after entering Yao Heng’s internal space.

He didn’t even bother to examine the changes brought about by Yao Heng’s advancement. His gaze swept briefly over the boundless expanse, now filled with Ice Heart Tree and other space time spirit plants that Yao Heng had cultivated everywhere.

He quickly flew to the spot where he usually secluded himself and sat down. Then he controlled the time particles, adjusting the time ratio to its maximum.

Only then did he begin meditating to recover his cultivation, physical strength, supernatural abilities, and everything else. Once he had restored himself to peak condition, he took out the damaged Frostheart Fleeting Battleship, the Void-Time Calyx, the broken realm membrane, and all the materials in his storage ring.

He was ready to repair them using his newly advanced Creation Ability.

Previously, he hadn’t been certain he could repair these items. The Frostheart Fleeting Battleship was particularly challenging because it possessed its own intelligence. Before his advancement, Xiao Shou hadn’t believed he could repair it without damaging that intelligence.

This time, however, things were different. He had gained a much deeper understanding of his ability. He now knew that as long as his conviction was strong enough and he had sufficient materials, failure was impossible.

Taking a deep breath, he used their contractual link to communicate with Yao Heng telepathically, asking her to bring him some Ice Heart Tree, Ice Heart Core, and other space time materials.

As if she understood what he intended to do, Yao Heng immediately brought out a large pile of the oldest Ice Heart Tree, Ice Heart Core, and other precious materials. Normally, she guarded her food supplies very carefully, but this time she gently placed everything in front of Xiao Shou without hesitation.

“Thank you, Yaoyao.”

Looking at the enormous pile of materials, Xiao Shou smiled softly. Then he began fuse them.

How long did it take an ordinary cultivator to enter the Spirit Realm after ascending from a Small Thousand Realm?

No one knew the answer.

That was because, when cultivators were enveloped by the welcoming light during their ascension, time itself stopped for them. In other words, they experienced a state of temporal stasis. As a result, most cultivators felt as though only an instant had passed between ascending from a Small Thousand Realm and arriving in the Spirit Realm.

Then again, how long would it take to enter the Spirit Realm through an unconventional method? Until now, no one had known the answer. But now, it seemed they were about to find out.

Although they had no idea what was happening beyond the heavens, the Heaven Origin Realm had remained stable since that day, without any major tremors. Afterward, the sand in the hourglass had turned over twelve times, marking twelve full days. Throughout that entire period, the sky had remained covered in the color of Wood.

It wasn’t until the thirteenth day that the wooden hue covering the sky finally dispersed.

When Xiao Shou received the news inside Yao Heng’s internal space, he assumed that his beloved disciple had finally reached his limit. Xiao Shou himself was beginning to struggle with the long, monotonous passage of time inside the space, so he hurriedly flew out, intending to take over for his disciple and give him a chance to rest.

Tushan Shanhe, who had come out with the same intention, landed beside Xiao Shou.

However, reality dealt them a painful surprise.

As soon as the wooden hue dispersed, brilliant sunlight immediately bathed the land. Dense spiritual energy swept over them, and the flowers, grass, trees, birds, fish, insects, and other living things throughout the Heaven Origin Realm, which had been devastated and suffered countless casualties, quickly regained their vitality.

Sensing all of this, Xiao Shou looked at Fu Young, who had landed beside him, and couldn’t help asking, “Young’er, where are we?”

“Probably some Spirit Realm!” Fu Young replied proudly, his bright eyes seeming to boast, Master, look! I did it!

Xiao Shou felt his face burning with embarrassment.

Whenever his cultivation had advanced rapidly in the past and he had believed he could accomplish anything, even more troublesome situations had inevitably arisen, leaving him in a miserable state. Those experiences had taught him not to become conceited about his own power.

Consequently, he had judged his beloved disciple’s ambitions through the lens of his own experiences. Yet, against all expectations, his disciple had accomplished this seemingly impossible feat without a single hitch.

His beloved disciple really did have the destiny of a male protagonist! Even something that should have been impossible had gone smoothly for him. It was truly unbelievable.

Xiao Shou silently mourned his own fate as a cannon fodder character. If only he had been blessed with such good luck too!

Sighing, he said somewhat sheepishly, “Young’er, you’ve worked hard.”
