Chapter 491: Demon Dao’s Reward

Demon Abyss Realm.

After Xiao Shou released the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame to burn away the evil of the world, he use his ability on a large number of Star Demon Stones of various grades.

He planned to fusing mid-grade Star Demon Jade to arrange a massive Star Demon Jade vein for the Star Demon Mother Tree. He also intended to prepare countless Star Demon Jades, Star Demon Stones, and other resources of various grades for Xing Jun and the other Star Demons, allowing them to search for suitable locations to arrange mid-grade and low-grade Star Demon Jade veins, as well as high-grade, mid-grade, and low-grade Star Demon Stone veins.

While Xiao Shou was busy with all of this, he sensed that the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame had burned away the Demon Abyss demonic aura around Star Demon City and was continuing to sweep toward the surrounding area.

Once he could no longer sense any Demon Abyss demonic aura, he simply stayed around the roots of the Star Demon Mother Tree, constantly capturing Star Demon aura and using his Creation ability to fuse Star Demon Stones. Whenever his ability was exhausted, he cultivated.

Thus, he alternated between capturing Star Demon aura to fuse Star Demon Stones and Star Demon Jade, and cultivating while waiting for the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame to return.

Seven days quickly passed.

After fusing a large amount of high-quality Star Demon Stones, Xiao Shou converted all of them into low-grade Star Demon Jade.

On this day, he consciously carried out a large-scale fusion of the low-grade Star Demon Jade he had accumulated.

In an instant, he fuse nearly ten thousand pieces of mid-grade Star Demon Jade.

Xiao Shou happily said to the Star Demon Mother Tree, "These are gifts I’m giving you. Do you like them?"

"I like them... I like them..."

A faint consciousness came from the sky above. As though expressing its happiness, the roots of the Star Demon Mother Tree quickly danced several times before burying all the Star Demon Jade beneath its roots.

It really liked them.

Wonderful!

Next, he would prepare some more for Xing Jun and the others. Once the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame had completely cleared away the Demon Abyss demonic aura, he would search for a way to return.

Just as Xiao Shou was thinking this, he suddenly sensed an excited emotion emanating from the source of the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame within his body.

His heart stirred, and he immediately extended his perception outward.

In an instant, he sensed an endless stream of fire energy flying toward him from all directions.

After a few breaths, his body was already surrounded by a sea of pitch-black flames.

Pure flames surged forward one after another, continuously seeping into his body and merging with the source of the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame in his Nascent Soul’s dantian.

The flame had previously divided its power several times, eventually splitting off three-quarters of its strength to protect Xiao Shou’s Nascent Soul. It had suffered considerable losses and had become somewhat dim.

Now, however, those flames became lively once again.

The pitch-black flames continuously poured into the source of the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame within Xiao Shou’s body. Very quickly, they completely replenished all the fire energy the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame had lost during these days.

It even replenished the portion that had been allocated to the Heaven Origin Realm.

Even after replenishing more than three-quarters of its power, the flames continued pouring in without end, constantly filling the source of the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame.

The originally tiny cluster of flames rapidly expanded in size.

Outside Xiao Shou’s body, pitch-black flames came flying back like a sky-covering storm, shocking all the residents of Star Demon City.

No matter how quickly the flames returned to Xiao Shou’s body or how enormous their number was, the pitch-black flames filling the sky and spreading in every direction showed no sign of decreasing. Instead, they seemed to grow more numerous the more they were consumed.

A huge vortex of black flames even formed around Xiao Shou, who was constantly absorbing the incoming flames.

It was clear just how much Demon Abyss demonic aura the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame had devoured to transform into such powerful flames.

Faced with such a spectacular sight, it was not only the Star Demon race and all the humans in Star Demon City who were watching.

It seemed that the Demon Dao also wanted to join in the excitement.

Above Xiao Shou’s head, a huge rolan-purple vortex appeared, casting a purple pillar of light down in front of him.

The vortex continued spinning as an emotionless consciousness entered Xiao Shou’s mind while he was concentrating on refining the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame.

"For creating a mid-grade Star Demon Jade vein for the Star Demon Realm, giving the Star Demon Realm an opportunity to evolve and grow, and purifying the foreign demonic aura within the Star Demon Realm so that it is no longer parasitized by Demon Abyss demonic aura or deprived of its realm power, the Demon Dao merit is hereby bestowed as a reward. Please accept it."

"Demon Dao merit again? That’s right. Since evolving the spiritual veins in the Heaven Origin Realm could earn Heavenly Dao merit, it is only natural that creating a Star Demon Jade vein in the Demon Realm would earn Demon Dao merit."

Unfortunately, the Demon Dao merit was useless to him.

Thinking this, Xiao Shou focused on two things at once. While continuing to refine the Terrestrial Fox Black Flame, he said to the Star Demon Mother Tree, "Demon Dao merit is useless to me. You can distribute it instead."

"Thank you... Creator..."

The faint consciousness flashed through the air.

Immediately afterward, the thick roots twisted together into a giant hand that caught the purple pillar of light descending from the sky.

The purple vortex paused for a moment. Seeing that Xiao Shou had not stopped it, an enormous amount of Demon Dao merit immediately descended from the pillar of light.

It appeared to be at least several times greater than the amount of merit received seven days ago.

Before Xiao Shou could sense anything more, he had no time to pay attention to these external matters.
