Chapter 33: Chapter 33: A Blood Moon Whip Worth a Cyan Crystal Stone

"But Amy wants to eat it too. She’s the little female cub you gave birth to. Can’t you just give her one more?" Miche furrowed her delicate brows, a conflicted expression on her face.

"You are Amy’s mother, after all. Don’t tell me you can’t even bear to let her eat a frost melon," Sophie chimed in sarcastically.

Amy looked at Ophelia with her green eyes. Her gaze held anticipation, though she feigned indifference on her face.

"Frost melons are limited to one per person. Trade for it if you want it. If not, get lost."

Ophelia made a quick calculation. Tyler should be back soon.

"Ophelia, Amy really wants to taste the frost melon. You might not like her being close to me, but you shouldn’t let her hopes be dashed just because of that.

"I can promise you, I won’t take a single bite of the frost melon. Really," Miche said, her voice choking with fake sobs.

The surrounding males, who didn’t understand the full situation, felt that Ophelia was being a bit too cruel. However, they all wanted frost melons too. Every extra melon given away meant one less chance for them to get one.

Naturally, they wouldn’t compromise their own interests just to play the good guy. After all, they also had mates and daughters waiting at home to eat frost melons.

Seeing Miche’s red eyes, Loki immediately flared up in anger.

"Ophelia, you’ve gone too far! You have so many frost melons in your hands, yet you can’t bear to let Amy eat one. You don’t deserve to be her mother!

"From now on, she only has me as her father. You are no longer her mother."

"Hasn’t she already rejected me as her mother a long time ago?" Ophelia scoffed lightly.

Loki couldn’t stand her mocking tone.

He tossed the Red Crystal Stone in his hand into Ophelia’s arms and coldly commanded, "This Red Crystal Stone in exchange for those five frost melons.

"Gavin, take the frost melons. We’re leaving."

Hearing this, Sophie’s mate bent down, scooped up the frost melons, and began stuffing them into his woven basket.

A look of anger washed over Ophelia’s face. She threw the Crystal Stone right back at him. "Loki, don’t push your luck!"

The sharp-edged red Crystal Stone struck Loki squarely on the forehead before bouncing off and hitting the cheek of the little female cub in his arms.

Amy’s skin was tender, and a red welt immediately appeared on her cheek. She had always been fragile and whiny; even the smallest cut would send her shrieking in pain.

"Ah! Father, it hurts so much!

"I don’t want to stay here anymore. Let’s go back quickly!" Amy cried out.

Seeing his daughter injured, Loki’s suppressed anger completely erupted.

"Ophelia, how dare you hurt Amy!" Flustered and exasperated, he raised his hand, ready to slap Ophelia across the face.

A gleam of smugness flashed through Miche’s eyes as she watched this unfold. She cheered inwardly, "Why is this damn bitch so beautiful? What gives her the right to use that mesmerizing face to seduce males everywhere? Hit her! It would be best if her face gets smashed to pieces so she can never seduce anyone again!"

Unexpectedly, Loki’s hand never had the chance to fall.

"Who dares to meddle in my business?!?" Loki was furious, his green eyes glinting with murderous intent.

However, when he met a pair of sharp, ice-cold amber eyes, his legs instantly went weak.

"Clay Clan Leader..." Miche exclaimed in shock.

"He’s the White Tiger King of the South?" Sophie also widened her eyes in disbelief.

Who hadn’t heard of the White Tiger King Mine Master? Everyone assumed he was some hideous, middle-aged male. No one expected him to be so incredibly handsome.

"I’ve said it before. Only incompetent males raise their hands against females. You Snow Wolf Clan male, are you deaf, or is your brain too empty to remember?" Klein glared at the red-faced Loki with frosty indifference.

Hearing this, Loki’s raised hand began to tremble.

"I... I..." He stammered, unsure of how to explain himself.

"You’re not allowed to bully my father!" Amy cried out timidly.

Klein snapped back to reality. Looking at the miniature version of Ophelia in the male’s arms, he slowly released his grip.

"Clay Clan Leader, you’ve misunderstood. It’s Ophelia who has gone too far. She has so many frost melons, but she can’t even bear to let her own little female cub eat one.

"Loki was just enraged. He didn’t actually intend to hit her," Miche explained softly, putting on a gentle smile.

"We’re neither deaf nor blind. We saw exactly what you just did!" Ali stepped out from behind Klein, hands on her hips, glaring angrily at Miche. "You obviously wanted to snatch the frost melons and used a little female cub as an excuse. Grown adults acting this shamelessly!"

While walking earlier, her brother had thought of Ophelia’s clay pot used for holding rice, so they had decided to stroll through the trading market.

And what a spectacular show they had stumbled upon! It was even more thrilling than watching a duel between males.

It was just that this family was incredibly annoying, always pestering and making things difficult for Ophelia.

"I’m not trading these frost melons anymore. Leave," Ophelia coldly chased them away.

"So what if you won’t trade? I refuse to believe I can’t eat a frost melon without you." Sophie had always been hot-tempered. Having been publicly humiliated, she left behind a stubborn retort.

The group had arrived aggressively, only to slink away with their tails tucked between their legs.

"Are you alright?" Ali leaned in and asked with concern.

Ophelia smiled and gently patted her fair, tender cheek. "I’m fine. Thank you for scolding them for me."

Having her cheek stroked by such a beautiful female, Ali’s eyes sparkled brilliantly.

Her small face flushed with excitement. If she had a tail, it would definitely be wagging like a helicopter propeller.

Klein closed his eyes. He mentally reminded himself, "This is my own biological sister... This is... What a useless thing."

He exhaled a heavy breath, a complex and subtle expression appearing on his face. His tone was casual.

"Where is your Dragon Beast mate? A dignified Princess like you went out without bringing a few males for protection?

"Do you think you have nine lives, or do you still have feelings for that Wolf Beast?"

Ophelia raised her eyes helplessly. "It was my own carelessness. Who knew I’d be so unlucky? I seem to run into them absolutely everywhere."

Klein chuckled lowly. "Ali, bring me Blood Moon."

Ali pouted, reluctantly pulling out a coiled whip from behind her waist.

The handle of the whip was made of fine yellow pear wood, and the slender body was interlaced with red and black. It looked exceptionally resilient.

"This is the Blood Moon Whip. It’s forged from a Jiao Long’s Dragon Tendon combined with refined iron. It’s extremely tough.

"My brother traded a Cyan Crystal Stone for it in Dragon Valley. It’s really easy to use. Not only is it lightweight, but it also hurts like crazy when it hits someone. Just a little force can crack tree bark," Ali praised Blood Moon profusely.

"For me?" Ophelia was somewhat surprised and found it hard to believe. After all, they had only met once.

"With Blood Moon around, no one will dare to bully you." Ali genuinely liked Ophelia; otherwise, she would never have willingly offered up her beloved Blood Moon.

"Mhm." Klein, acting as if his wrist was tired from holding it, simply tossed Blood Moon—which was worth a Cyan Crystal Stone—into Ophelia’s arms.

"Uh, thank you."

"No need. Just save me some more rice in the future."

"No problem. You can come find me every thirty days to pick it up. I’ll save 500 bags of grain for you, though I can’t guarantee it will all be the same variety."

Klein wore a look of ’I knew it’. He said plainly, "Alright, then it’s a deal."

Seeing a silhouette approaching from a distance, he tapped Ali’s forehead. "Let’s go."
