I Dumped My Mate—Now Every Beast King Wants Me
Chapter 193: The Little Female Goes Missing, Brada Takes Action
Chapter 193: Chapter 193: The Little Female Goes Missing, Brada Takes Action
Kelly might have been hopelessly love-struck, but she wasn’t a fool.
She bit her lip, tears welling up in her eyes. "Tiger, are you unwilling to leave the Fuzu Tribe for me?"
"I... I’m not." Meeting Kelly’s tear-filled gaze, Tiger subconsciously averted his eyes.
At this point, how could Kelly not understand? Forcing a bitter smile to her lips, she asked the most foolish question of all.
"Tiger, have you ever truly loved me?"
Tiger continued to avoid her gaze, still trying to make excuses. "Kelly, I just don’t want you to be separated from your brother because of me."
"I’m just asking if you’ve ever loved me."
"Kelly, it wasn’t easy for me to join the Fuzu Tribe. I don’t want to just leave like this."
Hearing Tiger say this, Kelly wiped away the tears that had slipped to the corners of her eyes. "Alright, I understand."
With that, she walked away, looking utterly devastated. Tiger chased after her and tried to grab her arm, but she shook him off.
Half an hour later, Kelly appeared in a daze before the three-story stone house.
Ophelia looked at her state and immediately knew that Tiger had rejected Kelly.
"Clan Leader Ophelia, you were right. Tiger isn’t a good man. He had ulterior motives for joining the Fuzu Tribe."
"We already know that. You don’t need to worry about this matter anymore."
"It turns out I was the only foolish one," Kelly said, her eyes red.
Seeing her like this, Ophelia couldn’t help but feel a pang of sympathy. "Kelly, don’t be sad over someone who isn’t worth it, or over things that aren’t worth your tears. Making a mistake once is nothing. As long as you keep your eyes open from now on, you will definitely meet a male who loves you wholeheartedly."
"Alright, I understand."
Watching Kelly leave, Ophelia sighed inwardly, unsure if her words had actually gotten through to the girl.
That evening, in a small grove outside Ten Thousand Beasts City.
A figure in black knelt on the ground. Beside him stood a tall, imposing silhouette.
"Idiot! You haven’t even been able to win over a little female after all this time. What use are you to me?" Brada angrily kicked the kneeling Tiger.
Tiger cried out in pain and collapsed onto the ground, not even daring to lift his head.
"Mr. Brada, it’s my fault. Give me one more chance, and I will definitely dig up the secret about the wandering doctor."
"There’s no need. I don’t have that much time for you to waste. Go directly to the Fuzu Tribe and kidnap a little female for me. I refuse to believe we won’t be able to get the wandering doctor’s whereabouts out of her," Brada said, a ruthless glint flashing in his eyes. "Even if she refuses to speak, her mates certainly won’t be able to sit still."
"Yes, Mr. Brada."
Brada glanced at the kneeling male and said coldly, "If you mess this up again, there’s no need for you to return to the Holy Capital with me."
The implication was clear: he would have no reason to live, either.
Tiger turned deathly pale from fright and gave his repeated assurances. "Mr. Brada, I will definitely complete the mission."
Early the next morning, just as Ophelia got out of bed, a male rushed over in a panic.
"Clan Leader, this is terrible! Something has happened in the tribe."
"What happened?" Ophelia and Zerev exchanged a glance. Their first thought was that Brada had finally made his move.
"Maya and I went for a stroll around the wall shops, but the moment I turned my back, she disappeared."
"Disappeared? Have you searched thoroughly?" Tyler asked.
The male nodded repeatedly. "My family and I looked everywhere, but we couldn’t find her."
Hearing this, it was clear to everyone what had happened. Brada had grown impatient and was officially declaring war.
Tyler asked, "Is your Mate Beast Mark still there?"
Hearing this, the male hurriedly checked his palm. A little red-furred wolf rested there.
The fact that the Mate Beast Mark was still present proved that the little female was still alive. Looking at the changed color of the mark on his hand, the male grew anxious and dropped to his knees.
"Clan Leader, please save Maya. She’s pregnant with cubs!"
Ophelia quickly helped him to his feet. "Don’t worry. I will definitely save her."
Only after receiving Ophelia’s reassurance did the male finally feel relieved enough to leave.
Ophelia’s face darkened. "I need to make a trip to Ten Thousand Beasts City."
Brada was in Ten Thousand Beasts City. His actions were simply a ploy to force her to go to him.
"Princess, I’ll go with you," Tyler offered.
Ophelia shook her head. "Tyler, you need to stay behind and guard the Fuzu Tribe. Also, conduct a search to see if any other little females are missing."
"I’ll go with you," Zerev said, his expression just as cold.
"No, Brada doesn’t know you’re in Ten Thousand Beasts City yet, and your relationship with Ophelia hasn’t been exposed," Klein interjected, reminding him before Ophelia could refuse. "For the safety of Ophelia and the dragon cubs, you can’t go."
Zerev fell silent.
"Ophelia, I’ll go with you," Klein added.
In the end, it was Klein who accompanied Ophelia to Ten Thousand Beasts City. By the time they arrived, it was already evening.
"Ophelia, Klein, what brings you here?" Moye had been about to go to sleep, but upon hearing of Ophelia’s arrival, he had hurriedly put his clothes back on and gotten up.
"I’m looking for Brada."
"Why? Did something happen?" Moye noticed Ophelia’s grave expression and had a bad feeling.
"Brada kidnapped a little female from the Fuzu Tribe."
"He kidnapped a little female? But he already left Ten Thousand Beasts City yesterday. I even saw him off personally."
Ophelia and Klein exchanged a look. They hadn’t expected Brada to have already left.
They wondered if they had truly been mistaken.
"Or maybe they’re playing tricks." Klein didn’t believe in such coincidences.
Ophelia nodded in agreement.
Despite Moye’s repeated attempts to persuade them to stay, Ophelia and Klein returned to the Fuzu Tribe under the cover of night.
Tyler and Zerev hadn’t slept. Hearing footsteps outside, they immediately opened the door.
"Ophelia, how did it go?"
Ophelia was just about to speak when Klein stopped her, pulling her by the hand into the room.
Seeing Klein being so cautious, Tyler took the initiative to step outside and stand guard.
"Moye said that Brada already left yesterday."
"Left? Impossible. Since Brada has already taken an interest in the wandering doctor, he absolutely wouldn’t leave so easily." Zerev had grown up with Brada, so he knew his temperament all too well.
Klein sat on a stool, his gaze heavy. "Then from here on out, we’ll just have to see what his next move is."
Ophelia instructed Tyler and the others to continue mining iron ore and forging arrowheads. At the same time, she had Lantai attach the arrowheads to the arrows to prepare for any contingencies.
For the safety of the little females, she informed the entire tribe that little females were forbidden from leaving the inner city, and she increased the number of male patrols during both day and night.
Yet, despite their meticulous arrangements, another little female went missing.
"What? Another little female is missing?"
Tyler led a team of males to search all over the mountains surrounding the tribe, but they still couldn’t find any trace of her.
"Princess, what should we do now?"
Ophelia’s face was cold. "For now, we can only wait."
Both of the kidnapped little females were already mated. Their mates’ Mate Beast Marks were still present, which proved that their lives were not in danger.
