Chapter 365: Chapter 340: Really Regret It? We’re This Strong?

The Boya Center Building was where Yasna and the other important figures of Boya conducted their business.

Located in an unstable region, the building was protected year-round by a stationed contingent of Guards.

Now, however, the surviving members of the Guard had been rounded up, forced to squat together with their hands up in surrender, trembling uncontrollably.

They stared in terror at the warriors surrounding them.

’Are these people really from the Xuanfeng Alliance?’

’When did the Xuanfeng Alliance become so terrifying? They used to be just like us.’

They stood no chance against these warriors. Their reaction speed, marksmanship, celerity, strength... in every respect, they were far superior to special forces.

They were completely overwhelmed, with no ability to fight back.

Their comrades fell in battle one after another, yet the enemy hadn’t suffered a single fatality—only a few wounded.

They even overheard the enemy mocking their own wounded, teasing them for getting hurt against such "small fry."

This...

’Were these people actually trying to crush us without taking a single scratch?’

How humiliating!

Yet they couldn’t even muster the will to be angry.

As for the Boya residents in the surrounding city blocks, they had long since run and hidden in a panic.

They knew the warriors attacking the Boya Center Building were undoubtedly from the Xuanfeng Alliance.

Just as they’d expected, they had come for revenge.

But surprisingly, aside from their fear of being caught in the crossfire, they felt no hatred for these Xuanfeng Alliance invaders.

They understood the Xuanfeng Alliance’s position. After all, it was their own people who had gone to the Xuanfeng Alliance first and committed the unforgivable crime of slaughtering so many.

They were all too familiar with such massacres in Boya; they had happened more than once.

Whether the massacres were caused by internal rebellion or external forces, one thing was certain: they always brought grief, fear, and endless suffering.

Therefore, they deeply sympathized with the Xuanfeng Alliance.

Now, the very same Mr. Yasna who had once passionately promised them he would end the chaos in Boya and bring peace and happiness to all, had ordered his people to commit the one act they loathed and detested above all others.

They found this incomprehensible and were filled with distrust for Yasna and the other leaders.

What they found even more ridiculous was that even though their side had struck first, they were utterly powerless to resist the counterattack.

Especially when they saw the Guards at the Boya Center Building being crushed with ease—and those were supposed to be Boya’s most elite warriors.

Any resident who witnessed this was left utterly speechless.

Outside the Boya Center Building.

Announcements blared from the bullhorns held by the Xuanfeng Alliance warriors:

"People of Boya, rest assured! We will not harm civilians. We are only here to demand justice for our fallen compatriots."

"We in the Xuanfeng Alliance love peace and reject war, just like you. But for the sake of our dead, we had no choice but to come."

"We all live in this land of chaos, we have all been plagued by suffering. You of all people should be able to understand us."

"..."

Each line of propaganda was meticulously crafted, borrowing a brilliant tactic from the Dragon Country: first, declare your principles, then position yourself empathetically with the other side to win their approval and understanding.

Combined with their disciplined conduct, the goal was obvious: to make it clear to everyone that Boya’s leaders were the ones at fault. The message was that the Xuanfeng Alliance was righteous, and that they stood with the common people.

In short, it was to curry favor and pave the way for their next objective.

Perhaps for this very reason, after the Xuanfeng Alliance warriors seized control of the Boya Center Building, the residents in the surrounding streets were not overly panicked. Instead, they began filming the events and broadcasting them.

They were especially focused on how Boya’s most elite warriors had been effortlessly crushed by the Xuanfeng Alliance, who resolved the situation with zero fatalities.

These scenes were posted all over Boya’s internet, shocking the entire populace.

They were all left with a single thought: ’The Xuanfeng Alliance warriors are so strong. No wonder they could storm the heart of Boya and seize the Center Building so quickly.’

Soon, the Xuanfeng Alliance’s propaganda messages also began to circulate online in Boya. An indescribable sentiment began to stir within the hearts of the people.

Meanwhile, a grim and desolate atmosphere filled the Boya Center Building.

Yasna had been captured. He and Boya’s other key figures were being held under guard in a conference room.

All other guards and low-ranking officials had been eliminated.

Those terrifying warriors had left no one alive.

He knew they were doing it for secrecy. ’They don’t want to expose their inhuman strength.’

This made his expression turn exceptionally grim.

’The fact that they haven’t killed us means they have a purpose for us.’

’If we can’t satisfy that purpose, we’re all dead.’

"I want to see your commanding officer," Yasna said to the warriors, forcing himself to remain calm.

But he saw that they had no intention of acknowledging him. Instead, a Black man walked in, carrying several chain-like devices.

He noticed that all the warriors seemed to be wearing similar devices around their own necks.

Before Yasna could process this, the man grabbed him by the collar and fastened one of the chains around his neck.

Yasna tried to resist, but in the man’s grasp, his strength felt like that of an infant. He was utterly powerless as the chain was locked in place.

Next, Swat fitted the other key figures from Boya with the same electronic chains. None of them could resist.

Once he was finished, Swat turned to Yasna and his men and spat out a single, cold word: "Wait."

’If the Governor didn’t want these Boyans kept alive, we could have easily killed them all.’

’But whatever the Governor orders, we carry it out to the letter.’ He stepped to the side and stood at attention, waiting silently.

This, however, put immense psychological pressure on Yasna and the other captives.

...

「Xuanfeng Alliance」

The helicopter carrying Lu Feng touched down at Wind Manor.

Baguda was already there waiting for him, along with several other high-ranking officials of the Xuanfeng Alliance.

Among them was Chen Bo.

Although he was merely the police chief of Wind Capital, he was responsible for the entire city’s public safety. More importantly, he was the Governor’s man.

That was why he had been summoned, breaking protocol. He was also slated to be the next Deputy Secretary of the Wind Capital Political and Legal Affairs Commission.

Baguda and the others had gathered here because of the war. Their forces had invaded Boya, and the ensuing series of events would be of critical importance to the Xuanfeng Alliance.

Therefore, it was imperative for them to consult with the Governor at the earliest opportunity, so they could swiftly carry out any orders he might have.

Furthermore, once a war starts, no one knows when it will end; it could be a protracted conflict. After all, their objective was all of Boya and its natural harbor.

If it dragged on, the attrition of resources on all fronts would need to be managed.

The Governor disliked working out of the administrative center, so they had no choice but to come to Wind Manor.

When the helicopter landed and Lu Feng disembarked, Baguda immediately led the others forward to greet him.

"His Excellency the Governor!"

"His Excellency the Governor!"

"His Excellency the Governor!"

"..."

They stood before Lu Feng, their faces filled with reverence.

In fact, most of them had only met Lu Feng once—when Baguda had brought them to Wind Manor upon their appointment to meet the Governor.

But this did nothing to diminish their respect for him.

It was precisely because of the Governor’s master strategies that the Xuanfeng Alliance was developing so rapidly, producing world-leading products, and raising the standard of living for its people.

One could say that every aspect of the Xuanfeng Alliance’s rapid improvement was a credit to the Governor.

"Let’s talk inside," Lu Feng instructed Baguda and the others. Xiaozhi had already informed him that Swat’s team had succeeded in their decapitation strike.

Now came the most critical step, one that would require the combined efforts of Baguda and his people.

Baguda followed Lu Feng into the manor, asking with concern, "His Excellency the Governor, what’s the current situation? How long is this battle expected to last? We on this end need to coordinate material support and other logistics."

The others also looked toward Lu Feng, eagerly awaiting his answer. It was the question on everyone’s mind.

Upon hearing this, Lu Feng replied, "The fighting is already over. Our men have control of their central building, and their leaders, including Yasna, are in our custody. Your job now is to figure out how to negotiate with Yasna’s people and secure Boya."

His words left Baguda and the others with looks of utter disbelief.

To be more precise, they found it completely incredible.

’Didn’t Dali just depart with the main force?’

’Since when were our soldiers this terrifyingly effective?’

Clearly, even those on the inside of the Xuanfeng Alliance had no idea what kind of incredible power their organization now commanded.
