I Can Transfer the Side Effects of Evil Skills
Chapter 758 - 438: Tell Him Who Your Master Is!
Yue Ya had anticipated the Black Robed Daoist’s strike and was fully prepared to dodge it. Yet, when the moment came, she found herself completely immobilized.
It was inevitable. Although Zou Er had personally imparted his Skill to her, Yue Ya was still only a Martial Artist. She had not even stepped into the Spirit Body Realm, so how could she possibly contend with a Tribulation Cultivator like the Black Robed Daoist?
In the very next moment, the Black Robed Daoist grabbed her by the throat without any suspense. Still, Yue Ya refused to give up. She channeled all the venomous power in her body toward her neck, attempting to poison him.
"HEHEHE..." The Black Robed Daoist chuckled, deeply amused by her futile struggles. "You want to poison me? Train for another hundred years, and you might just manage to give me a stomachache!"
With that, he made a grasping motion in the air with his free hand. The Blood Spirit Pill, which Yue Ya had securely hidden in her robes, was forcefully pulled out.
The moment the Blood Spirit Pill appeared, the Black Robed Daoist’s mocking expression froze. Almost instinctively, he sensed the pill’s extraordinary nature. A brief moment of shock quickly gave way to a look of sheer ecstasy.
"This... this is...
"You wretched brat, how do you possess such a treasure!?"
Although he knew Yue Ya carried something valuable, he had never expected it to be something of such absurdly high caliber. His mind immediately began to race, calculating whether he could keep this treasure all to himself. As these thoughts swirled in his head, he reached a trembling hand toward the Blood Spirit Pill.
Seeing this, Yue Ya’s eyes widened in sheer fury, and she struggled with everything she had.
"Give... it... back... to... me!
"That belongs... to my master!"
The Black Robed Daoist had held off on killing Yue Ya for two reasons. First, he coveted her unique physique and intended to turn her into a Medicine Man. Second, he needed to uncover the origins of this treasure. Only then could he gauge whether it was possible to hide it from the three Demon Immortals and claim it for himself.
However, before his left hand could even touch the Blood Spirit Pill—the moment it merely grazed the crimson halo radiating from its surface—he let out a sudden, blood-curdling shriek. He recoiled as if he had been electrocuted, hurling Yue Ya aside in the process.
He thought, "What the hell is this!?"
The Black Robed Daoist stared at his arm in absolute horror. It felt as though a living creature had burrowed deep into his flesh and was rapidly gnawing its way toward his vital organs. Making a split-second decision, he formed a blade with the fingers of his right hand and ruthlessly severed his own left arm. He then hastily cast a spell, flicking his fingers to shoot out several streaks of cyan flame that incinerated the severed limb.
Only after doing all this did he realize he was drenched in cold sweat, looking as though he had just been pulled from a river.
He thought, "How terrifying... I definitely just took a trip through the Ghost Gate."
Meanwhile, Yue Ya had forced herself to crawl over to the Blood Spirit Pill, wrapping her arms tightly around it once more.
He wondered why she was completely unharmed when touching the pill. The Black Robed Daoist was utterly astounded, but his expression quickly darkened into something grotesque and terrifying.
"Speak! How did you get your hands on this pill?
"And who exactly is this master you mentioned?"
Curled up on the ground and clutching the Blood Spirit Pill for dear life, Yue Ya completely ignored him. Her stubbornness only drew a continuous stream of sneers from the Black Robed Daoist.
"Refusing to speak, are we?
"Very well. You’ve likely never experienced a fate worse than death..."
Before he even finished speaking, dozens of dark cyan needles, each as long as a chopstick, materialized out of thin air around Yue Ya. With a cold scoff from the Black Robed Daoist, the needles all simultaneously plunged into her body.
Agonizing, teeth-grinding screams continuously tore through the air. Yue Ya had always believed her endurance was forged as solid as a rock. Yet, this excruciating pain that pierced directly into her soul was so unbearable that she found herself wishing for the swift release of death.
"Rest assured, as long as I don’t permit it, you won’t die. And just so you know, this is only the beginning...
"I will ask you one last time: are you going to speak or not!?"
By this point, Yue Ya was in so much agony that her consciousness had begun to blur. In her delirious state, her master’s words echoed in her mind once again. For some inexplicable reason, the Blood Spirit Pill suddenly began to vibrate in a way it never had before. The soothing warmth it radiated instantly reinvigorated Yue Ya!
She thought, "He will come back!"
At that moment, her sheer obsession to protect the Blood Spirit Pill eclipsed all her pain. Biting down hard on her lip, Yue Ya pulled the pill even tighter against her chest.
Seeing the defiant look on Yue Ya’s face, the Black Robed Daoist—who normally derived immense pleasure from torturing others—felt a sudden, inexplicable surge of irritation.
"Very well, then I won’t hold back either!"
With a wave of his hand, hundreds of needles instantly materialized. He had expected this horrifying display to make the wretched girl tremble in fear, but to his surprise, her stubborn expression remained entirely unchanged. Instead, her lips were faintly moving, murmuring something under her breath.
With the Black Robed Daoist’s sharp hearing, he quickly picked up on Yue Ya’s whispers.
"He will come back?"
The Black Robed Daoist let out a sinister sneer. "Even if the Celestial King himself came, it would be useless!"
Before he even finished speaking, the hundreds of needles began plunging into Yue Ya in relentless waves. Forged through the Divine Soul Dao, this barrage of needles was vastly more potent at inflicting torment than the previous ones. It was no longer just agonizing physical pain; this was torment that pierced directly into the soul.
Yue Ya should have screamed even more miserably. Yet, to the Black Robed Daoist’s utter disbelief, the girl seemed to have completely adapted to the agony, letting out only a few muffled groans. Her expression even grew uncharacteristically resolute, causing an uneasy feeling to drum in the Black Robed Daoist’s chest.
In response, he gritted his teeth and intensified his spellcasting, pouring even more vicious cruelty into the needles. He refused to believe she could withstand this!
However, while Yue Ya appeared to be holding on, it was merely her sheer obsession keeping her anchored. Her body and soul were already like a flickering candle in the wind, entirely spent.
