I Can Strengthen Infinitely

Chapter 704: Ascension to Immortality (Grand Finale)

  • Next Chapter

Wujiang River, Great Buddha Cave.

Returning to this old place stirs a myriad of emotions in my heart. Qin Yuesheng walks on the river’s surface, creating ripples beneath his feet.

Last time he was here, he was still dealing with the Yellow Turban Immortal Sect and the White Lotus Saint Sect, which was indeed intriguing.

Above the river, the cries of monkeys on both banks are incessant. Large and small monkeys climb the cliff edges and treetops with great agility, showing far more vitality than the last time Qin Yuesheng visited.

There is a legend from Damo Temple that Ancestor Damo, who created the four Divine Skills single-handedly, had exceptional Lightweight Skill and could cross the river on a single reed.

Nowadays, Qin Yuesheng needs not even a reed, walking on the water with dry boots, prompting anyone who sees him to exclaim, ‘Truly the means of an Immortal!’

As Qin Yuesheng proceeds downstream, it doesn’t take long before three large ships come sailing upstream, advancing side by side, displaying a rather impressive aura.

Yet Qin Yuesheng seems indifferent, his expression calm, with no intent to evade, merely continuing forward.

All roads are open to me; who dares to make me step aside?

On the foremost central ship, a group of young noblemen and women gaze at the river and mountains, with musicians playing instruments on the second floor to set the atmosphere, making these wealthy scions appear rather extraordinary.

Simply put, they have ‘prestige’.

When Qin Yuesheng appears on the river, the guards of these wealthy scions naturally spot him ahead of time, and each is astonished at heart.

The rapid flow of the Wujiang River means anyone who can cross on a small boat is already considered a master.

Crossing with a blade of grass or wood is the mark of a Grandmaster unmatched in the world.

And this young man before them, traversing without aid, is simply unheard of. Immediately, a guard runs to inform their young master.

“Young master, we’ve encountered a master, right on the river.”

Among them, the most obviously high-ranking young gentleman, upon hearing this, promptly shakes his fan and walks to the bow to see what a master looks like. When he sees Qin Yuesheng walking straight towards his ship without any intent to avoid, he’s slightly startled, unable to believe that such a seemingly young boy could be an extraordinary master.

“Young master, walking across the river without using external aids—this level of skill is extremely rare in the world. Surely he is a Grandmaster from the legends, who has returned to simplicity and fully understood the martial arts. We must not provoke him; it’s better to yield to avoid the disaster of inciting violence.” The guard quietly advises.

Even if all the experts on these three ships were combined, they would not stand a chance against a Grandmaster.

“Go inform the sailors to clear the way.” The young gentleman shakes his fan, giving the order.

“Understood.”

When Qin Yuesheng is only three or four feet away from the large ship, the obstruction ahead suddenly shifts to the left, forcibly clearing the waterway for him, allowing Qin Yuesheng to pass unobstructed. Meanwhile, all the people on the three ships are curiously observing him closely.

Martial artists of the world, the stronger they are, the rarer they are seen. Finally encountering a Grandmaster, naturally, everyone wants to take a few more looks for future bragging rights.

Qin Yuesheng has no intention of entangling with them, and soon he walks downstream, disappearing from their sight, leaving behind many praises.

“Truly enviable, walking on the water, just like the legendary Immortal.”

“If I could take this person as my master, no matter how much effort it takes, I’d gladly learn martial arts.”

“If life could be like this person’s, surely it would be mighty and magnificent, traveling the world with ease.”

…

The Great Buddha Cave, after some time away, looks the same as before. If there’s any difference, it’s just more plants and traces of birds and beasts settling here.

Familiar with the path, Qin Yuesheng follows the secret passage he used before to enter the Great Buddha Cave’s interior. Using the Biluo Eye, he can see in the dark as if it were daylight.

Reaching the deepest part of the Great Buddha Cave, he pushes open the stone door, gazing at the silent space beyond, immediately unleashing his aura.

Sensing a foreign presence, the ground below shudders with a roar. From the hollow beneath, a massive head instantly emerges, its luminous eyes staring menacingly at Qin Yuesheng.

“Long time no see. Last time, I broke off one of your horns to use. This time upon our reunion, I invite you to join me,” Qin Yuesheng smiles.

The Purple Flood Dragon, being such a high-level mythical beast, although not yet capable of transformation, can understand human speech, so Qin Yuesheng knows it comprehends his words.

His mention angers the Purple Flood Dragon, causing it to roar loudly.

The dragon’s roar shakes the cave, rocks breaking free from the ceiling and crashing down noisily.

Then the entire body of the Purple Flood Dragon crawls out of the opening, aggressively charging at Qin Yuesheng.

Qin Yuesheng is no longer the martial artist of the Inner Power Realm he once was. As the Purple Flood Dragon collides with him, he casually lifts his hand and presses it against its forehead.

Buzz!!!

No matter how huge the Purple Flood Dragon’s body is, it cannot advance another inch, being firmly restrained by Qin Yuesheng’s force, unable to move.
