Chapter 1102: Arrangements!
Chapter 1102 -37: Arrangements!
From the moment Roselle deliberately provoked the Original Moon—
The cosmic conflict between native Old Gods and powerful extraterrestrial forces officially commenced.
Roselle indeed played his cards wisely; upon realizing he might not be able to withstand a certain entity, he decisively chose to lure another powerful enemy to counter the current adversary, aiming to protect himself and gain a moment of respite…
—One must admit, this strategy isn’t flawed.
—Faced with inevitable death, being contested by two Old Gods rather than targeted by just one, although seemingly more dreadful, actually provided room for maneuvering.
And the Original Moon gladly went along; even if aware of Roselle’s manipulative strategy, It didn’t care at all, ready to devour the bait with arrogant dominance… This is the confidence a Pillar-level Old God, the Fallen Mother Goddess possesses. Except for those two lunatics who perished together, It did not consider anyone in the universe worth its wariness.
So, in many ways, it was a favorable opportunity.
The chance to consume a ‘Black Emperor’ delivered to Its doorstep, while also probing the strange entity that suddenly emerged, clashing with the universe’s norms… Why not?
Then, the retaliation came stronger than imagined.
The result was both sides engaging in battle, ripping at each other for over a hundred years across vast light-years and starry skies. If not for the unique situation in the Solar System, the entire Star System might have long been upturned.
The stalemate prolonged, the cosmic conflict never ceased. The Fallen Mother Goddess, unwilling to release Its grip on the prey, held on firmly, while Gu Mo certainly would not easily let it slip away either, resulting in an endless tug-of-war… With both parties exercising restraint, the situation was held in a delicate balance, never broken, until this day.
Without warning…
The Celestial God, master of electronics and machinery, opened His massive pupils towards the Crimson Moon.
In an instant, the Crimson Moon shattered.
…
…
In the stillness of the deep night, when all was silent.
Finally able to pause and catch his breath, Klein lay on the bed, feeling like his whole body might fall apart.
Yawning in fatigue, he mused about another day packed with nonstop activities.
After a week like this, it felt as if he were back in high school days, or perhaps even more grueling than a high school student… with daily schedules packed to the brim — if not attending Mysticism courses and associated practices, then he’s in shooting training or combat practice; if no training was scheduled, he’d be on duty at the Chains Gate. If there were no tasks, he’d go to the Divination Club, Hoy University, or convene the Tarot Association…
If he were still the former corporate drone version of Zhou Mingrui, he might indeed lack such self-discipline.
Fortunately, since his transmigration, his body became younger and more vigorous, coupled with a profound understanding of his current situation, allowing him to persevere.
Like today, after finishing the Tarot Association meeting at three in the afternoon, Klein truly wanted to slack off and take a break, but still felt the afternoon was early, forcing himself to hurriedly set out to the Divination Club.
After all, with the Sequence 8 ‘Clown’ magic potion formula in hand…
He had to seize time, ensuring no relaxation was allowed once the ‘Divination Family’ magic potion was fully digested…
Today’s visit to the Divination Club wasn’t fruitless either. Mr. Gracis, who had recently recovered from his lung disease, previously asked him to divine regarding investment in Lanerwus Steel Company, receiving a bad outcome. However, it appeared the other party listened only partially to his advice, hence returned today.
The gentleman had taken the risk to invest, fortunately only putting in a third of the planned amount, so despite significant losses, it wasn’t destitution devastatingly.
He and a lady named Christina approached Klein for help, hopeful that divination could determine if there was a chance to recover their losses from this scam. To divine Lanerwus’ whereabouts, related items were needed, and the lady even brought along a pregnant girl, trying to use Lanerwus’ child as a medium for divination, a scenario that was utterly ridiculous…
Uncontrollably yawning, muddled thoughts about today’s events weighed down Klein’s eyelids noticeably.
Gradually, he slipped into slumber.
Uncertain how much time had passed, amid his daze, he suddenly felt a shock, vaguely sensing something in his dream, abruptly opening his eyes.
“…!!”
The room, supposed to be dim, had become bright; an incredibly dazzling white light shone from outside the window; at a glance, like an endless ocean of light dispelling darkness, driving away night, submerging all earthly scenes.
Did I oversleep? Is it already daytime? Wouldn’t that mean I’d be late for work?
—This was Klein’s first instinctive response, still groggy.
What’s going on? Is this a dream? How could there be such a bizarre dreamscape?
—This was Klein’s second response after his thinking ability barely returned.
Quickly sensing something was wrong, he sprang up from the bed, running to the window without even wearing shoes, peering outside. Yet, nothing was visible… because everything was a blinding white as far as the eye could see, the sky’s extreme radiant light seemed to drown everything; in the overexposed vision, apart from the dazzling white, nothing could be seen.
