Chapter 1080: Chapter 30: "Luck

"...!!"

The transmigrator Zhou Mingrui, or rather the current Klein Moretti, suddenly had his pupils constrict to their limits, his whole body as if struck by lightning.

His eyes were filled with disbelief, even his fingers clutching the yellowed book pages were clearly exerting force, causing his hands to tremble slightly.

This reaction was sufficient to show the massive waves stirring deep within his heart at this moment.

Because he was currently bowing his head like this, his face shrouded in shadow, and in the narrow room there was only a gas lamp providing light. Plus, Mr. Neil was still incessantly talking about his research results, explaining his decryption approach, and sharing his insights with pride and joy, so he didn’t notice Klein’s unusual behavior.

——It really was square characters, comprehensible Simplified Chinese...

——Not some strange symbols created by coincidence, an ambiguous misunderstanding...

Klein took a deep breath, striving to calm himself down, at least to the point where he wouldn’t be so agitated that he accidentally tore the diary.

This was indeed the diary of that Emperor Roselle, Mr. Neil’s speculation was correct. But the elder could only guess and infer, while Klein could directly and smoothly read the diary’s content, thus confirming this fact... That eccentric dude in history really was a transmigrator! One who arrived much earlier than him!

This discovery was truly astonishing, even though there had been such guesses and suspicions before, yet the shock and impact of confirming the fact were not the least bit diminished...

Klein’s mind was temporarily blank, but when he came back to his senses, he was overwhelmed with excitement to the point of almost losing control.

Despite having transmigrated around yesterday’s early hours, just over these two brief days, so many things had happened, an overload of information that drained his heart power to exhaustion... In this situation, suddenly discovering that although he was alone in a foreign land as an alien, he was not solitary, for there existed a compatriot who had encountered the same fate, was bound to provide what a tremendous mental boost.

Even if that fellow’s era was much earlier than Klein’s, and he was no longer around...

But just knowing an example like this once existed was very reassuring, lifting the spirits!

——The date is January 3rd...

——From the Governor to this entry, said he hadn’t written in his diary for at least six months...

——This diary should have been written by that fellow in 1174...

Klein’s brain quickly spun, rapidly memorizing the key points recorded on this diary page, his eyes skimmed past keywords and phrases such as "Third Secret Ceremony Society," "Master of Secret Rites," "battle between two great divine spirits," feeling somewhat awed yet clueless, as a newbie only just accepting the existence of the mystical domain, the information was slightly too advanced, actually lacking a real sense of impact.

He opened the second and third pages of the yellowed diary, revealing dates that were different once more.

The former was a strange entry, besides the opening date looking presentable, the content read like absolute gibberish. Klein furrowed his brow, instinctively staring for several seconds before abruptly realizing that this might be a forged diary entry by later generations, with the characters jumbled together, recklessly printed, resulting in this mess.

That left him both amused and annoyed.

After all, he was in dire need of his fellow countryman’s informational support, but the counterfeit industry of this world had cunningly laid such a trap for him... It seemed that no matter the world, the industry of counterfeiting would always be so vigorous and energetic.

Fortunately, the content on the third page was relatively worthwhile, with that fellow first lamenting that he should have chosen the paths of "Apprentice," "Divination Family," or "Thief." Unfortunately, there’s no turning back now... The reason wasn’t stated, but Klein remembered this point clearly.

And in the subsequent records, the fellow vented his frustration about his child’s inability to meet expectations——

Along with mentioning a key about the Magic Potion system.

It’s not about mastering, but digesting! Not about excavating, but playing the role!

This filled Klein with immense joy, especially the latter part of the precious information. This was precisely the intelligence he currently needed the most, making him feel as if he’d suddenly seen the light, his heart couldn’t help but pound excitedly.

......

......

Roughly half an hour later.

Stepping out of the Blackthorn Security Company, Klein raised his eyes to the sky and took a deep breath.

Even now, he felt his emotions hadn’t quite settled, almost getting noticed by Mr. Neil, but fortunately acting fast, he covered it up with an excuse.

——Indeed, that Emperor Roselle was a fellow countryman, and he had indeed delved into the mystical domain...

——So it seemed, the diary he left behind was of immeasurable value, a record left by a transmigrator who became the emperor of Intis, understood only by him...

Truth be told, the temptation of this seemingly easily attainable treasure was colossal, at that moment, Klein wished he could immediately gather all of Roselle’s Diary and thoroughly read through them.

Unfortunately, this wasn’t going to be easy, it had to be planned out carefully.
