Chapter 625 356: Quantum Seal, Talisman Seal

  • Next Chapter

This was the second large-scale interstellar war the Milky Way Galaxy had faced, the first being the invasion by the Evil Divine Domain.

The last war took place in one of the Milky Way Galaxy's spiral arms, the very region where the Divine Domain was located.

The war had ended with the complete annihilation of the Divine Domain's forces. Both their divinely-empowered troops and their technological armies were wiped out.

If not for the sudden appearance of Zhao Rui, it's likely that not a single ordinary living creature would have survived in the entire Star Realm.

The invaders this time were even more terrifying. Although the Milky Way Galaxy's native technological capabilities had reached the level of a Level 4 civilization, they were clearly outmatched when facing the Cultivation Civilization.

It wasn't a matter of inefficient Energy utilization. After all, a Level 4 civilization's technology could already harness a portion of a galaxy's power. Feats like space-folding and energy-to-matter conversion were trivial.

However, the cultivation civilizations operated under a different set of laws governing Energy fluctuations, allowing them to perfectly evade the Energy assaults of technological civilizations.

Abilities like incorporeality and Energy absorption and conversion were far beyond the scope of conventional offensive theories.

It felt very much like a higher-dimensional attack.

Perhaps only a Level 5 civilization—a super-civilization that had reached the soul-spirit stage, could ignore physical Energy, and directly target the core of matter—would be able to contend with a Cultivation Civilization.

And even then, it would only be "contending." After all, a Cultivation Civilization was merely a subsidiary of an Immortal Cultivation civilization, and the latter was an even more terrifying, Extraordinary existence.

They operated on a level akin to where Words and Laws Follow, capable of converting the virtual into the real and vice versa.

With a single glance, they could decide the cycle of life and death.

The war was a mismatch from the very start. Soon, the forces of the Milky Way Galaxy began a steady retreat. Countless starships were destroyed, lighting up the entire cosmos like fireworks.

For the first time, the alliance of technological civilizations truly understood the disparity in power.

"It's a shame the Divine Domain is gone. If they were still here, perhaps by combining our strengths, we could have put up some resistance. At the very least, we'd have enough power to evacuate the Milky Way Galaxy."

"I doubt even the Divine Domain could have made a difference. It would have only prolonged the inevitable."

"What is their objective? Why do they keep attacking our Milky Way Galaxy?"

The leaders of the galactic alliance began to reflect on what could possibly be causing the Milky Way Galaxy to suffer one alien invasion after another.

"I once spoke with one of the Divine Domain's sovereign gods. It seems to be related to the ancient Divine Court."

"Oh? The ancient Divine Court?"

One of the leaders exclaimed in surprise. He, too, had heard whispers and fragments about the Divine Court.

"According to the AI's data archives, in ancient times, the Milky Way Galaxy was the central region of the Divine Court. The Ancient Land of the Divine Court is located here..."

"Later, the Divine Court collapsed and its power scattered across the universe. The once-prosperous Milky Way Galaxy gradually fell into decline."

"The Divine Domain and the Evil Divine Domain are remnants of the Divine Court's power. Later, life on various planets continued to develop, gradually shifting away from Immortal Divine Techniques and toward technology. As time went on, the technological civilizations grew stronger and stronger, eventually occupying more than half of the Milky Way Galaxy."

As the AI continued its eloquent explanation, all the leaders aboard the galactic alliance command ship were stunned.

It turned out they weren't the "native" lifeforms of the Milky Way Galaxy. They were merely latecomers, a power that had risen anew within the original Star Realm.

"Are they trying to reclaim the territory that once belonged to them?"

one leader asked, his voice laced with shock and doubt.

"According to my analysis, these Cultivation Civilizations are not trying to invade our Domain. They're heading for the Ancient Land of the Divine Court."

"The Ancient Land of the Divine Court? Where is that?"

"Due to an information blockade—a Quantum Seal—this type of information cannot be parsed."

Everyone was horrified. Information about the Ancient Land was something even the AI couldn't analyze. 'Could this Quantum Seal be the legendary art of the Talisman Seal?'
