Chapter 605 - 336: You Know Me?

"Miao Miaomiao is your cousin?"

Zhao Rui froze for a moment, turning to look at the beauty by his side.

He saw that Miao Miaomiao had a bewildered expression; she clearly didn’t know this man.

Besides, when Miao Miaomiao had appeared earlier, the man hadn’t recognized her at all, making it even more impossible that he was some cousin.

’What kind of cousin wouldn’t recognize his own cousin!’

After a brief moment of surprise, Miao Miaomiao’s expression contorted with rage as she furiously berated him.

"Nonsense! Since when did my Miao Family have a cousin like you?!"

"Who the hell do you think you are, daring to claim you’re part of our Miao Family?"

A wicked glint in his eyes, the green-haired man sneered mockingly. "Don’t play innocent with me. Old freak, if you can’t beat him, call for backup. This woman—I’m going to have her today, no matter what."

"If anything happens, my old man will talk to my uncle personally."

The corner of the green-haired man’s mouth curled up as he looked mockingly at Zhao Rui and Miao Miaomiao, not bothering to hide the malice in his eyes.

Hearing this, the old man’s expression turned awkward. He could clearly sense how difficult Zhao Rui would be to deal with, but his "master" had spoken. Even if he didn’t want to, he had to follow his orders.

He wasn’t an idiot. He wasn’t about to fight alone when he’d been told to call for backup.

He quickly pulled out his phone and made a call.

"The young master is in danger. We’re facing an expert. We’re at..."

Zhao Rui watched him make the call with cold eyes, his expression impassive and not the least bit hurried.

"Fine. I’d like to see just who you can call over."

With Zhao Rui by her side, Miao Miaomiao was full of confidence. Even if Blue Star exploded, she would be completely unharmed.

So, she simply decided to wait for this so-called "cousin" to summon his people. It would be best if he called all his heavy hitters.

Zhao Rui saw Miao Miaomiao’s expression and knew what she was thinking.

Smiling, he pointed a finger, and two stools flew toward them from a distance, pulled by an unseen force.

"Honey, have a seat!"

The two of them casually plopped down onto the seats, leisurely watching the group across from them.

"Fuck!"

"I’ve seen arrogant people before, but I’ve never seen anyone more arrogant than me. Goddammit!"

The green-haired man couldn’t resist grabbing a decorative vase beside him and hurling it at Zhao Rui.

The vase, thrown with considerable force, whistled through the air as it flew straight toward him.

But before the vase could even reach Zhao Rui, it was stopped by an invisible barrier in front of him.

It wasn’t shattered, nor did its speed decrease. It was reflected back completely.

The angle and force were exactly the same.

"Ouch!"

The green-haired man was hit square-on and fell to the ground.

"Old freak, are you eating shit? Didn’t you see this young master get hit?"

The green-haired man flew into a rage and roared at the old man beside him.

"Young Master, please be patient. This man... I can’t defeat him. It won’t be too late to make our move after the reinforcements arrive."

The old man said via sound transmission.

"Even *you* can’t beat him?"

"Damn it, so he’s a tough nut to crack. Perfect. Later, I’m going to personally deal with them."

The green-haired man gave a lecherous smile. He was no longer in a hurry. He caressed the face of the woman beneath him and walked straight to a seat on the opposite side.

He faced Zhao Rui and Miao Miaomiao from a distance.

They sat like this for no more than five or six minutes before several whooshing sounds rapidly approached.

With a few SWOOSHES, six men dressed in ancient-style clothing walked into the service area’s main hall.

"Young Master Miao, in this territory of Dongqi, who would dare to provoke you? Do they have a death wish?"

The one who spoke was a middle-aged man, but he carried himself with an extraordinary air. His posture was ramrod straight, and he walked with the stride of a dragon and the gait of a tiger—he didn’t look like a subordinate at all.

Instead, he looked more like a powerful boss in his own right.

"It’s them!"

Seeing his reinforcements arrive, Young Master Miao’s lips curled into a smirk, and he couldn’t help but jut his chin toward Zhao Rui and Miao Miaomiao.

Seeing this, the newcomers immediately turned their gaze toward the pair.

Just one glance!

The middle-aged man’s face changed drastically, and he stammered, his voice trembling, "Zhao... Zhao... Zhao Rui!"

"You know me?"

Zhao Rui shot him a single glance, and with just that one look, the man fell to his knees with a THUD.

"Greetings, Great Emperor! May the Great Emperor live for ten thousand years!"

"Sect Leader Pang, what are you spouting nonsense about? What Zhao Rui?"

Hearing the green-haired man’s words, the middle-aged man was even more terrified and shouted back at him, "Young Master Miao, that’s your brother-in-law, Emperor Zhao Rui!"

As soon as these words were spoken, the green-haired man’s face drained of color.

His legs involuntarily went weak, and he nearly fell off his chair.
